Why, I'm sure everyone remembers the torrential rains of winter 2018/19. I certainly do. 2 roof leaks in February on my 30+ year old original roof. Knowing I would need a complete "lift and relay" of my tile roof, I knew I would have to float a loan for repair and if so decided to include a PV solar installation as well. During my search for a Roofing contractor and Solar contractor I was refereed to "YOUR ENERGY PROS" by one of the Roofing Contractors I had contacted. I received a call from Mr. Steve Luck. We chatted on the phone for well over 1 hour. He presented himself and his partner as Consultants for potential PV solar customers, with no particular allegiance to any solar product manufacturer nor any particular solar installation company. Their only goal is to interview and work with potential customers to help them obtain the solar system that best fit the needs of the new solar system owner. I explained I was a retired Factory HVAC service technician and somewhat self taught solar guy having recently built a small "off grid" solar system in Baja. Our discussion included the urgency I was under with the leaking roof and soon to expire Federal tax credit. Also, including my scheduled double knee replacement surgery late February. Over the next 2 months I interviewed 3 roofing contractors and 4 solar contractors (including one sheister contractor) all while consulting with Steve of Your Energy Pros. With his help we went through three design changes and I signed a contract for installation of my system which began immediately after my roof repairs were completed. My solar system was installed by Smart Solar Designs (my review for them to follow soon), in 4 days over the following 2 weeks due to persistent spring rains. I could not be happier!

I am beyond happy with the work completed and the service they provide. Mike came out to do the estimate himself and was extremely thorough in examining the whole system. He was the only person who came out to discover the gaps in the upstairs ductwork and one of the only who even went upstairs. Mike's estimate was the only estimate I received which included replacing the ductwork and fixing the water output. He provided me with three different pricing options with different systems and we went with the Bosch system that has the option to use as a heat pump or gas. His pricing was right in the middle of the estimates I received but it was a much better system than any of the other options around the price range. I went with my gut and just knew Mike was the best option because he knows his stuff and really cares. Mike is a great communicator and gets back to you really quickly. He answered all of my questions and was clear on all aspects of the project. When Mike and Luis arrived to conduct the replacement I knew I had made the right choice. They immediately put down these tarps to make sure they didn't track dirt in the house. Throughout the whole project they were extremely tidy and the little mess they did make here or there, they made sure everything was very clean by the time they left for the day. Mike explained everything to me thoroughly and showed me how our old system had standing water and mold in it. He also made sure our carbon monoxide output was in a safe location because the previous location was extremely unsafe. He also came back today and installed an EcoBee thermostat after it was back in stock to ensure we have a monitor upstairs too because our thermostat is located in the coolest place in the house downstairs. My husband was in urgent care and Mike offered to have Luis bring me something from Starbucks. It was such a kind offer and went so far beyond any type of contractor service I've ever received. I am so glad we went with Mike and SonRise Mechanical. He goes above and beyond in his work and communication. Luis was also exceptional and consistent in his hard work. Our system is working amazingly and I am happy to have found someone like Mike to rely on for our future HVAC needs. We set up an appointment for early June. No one showed and no phone call. I called later that day and he said he had me scheduled for the following week. Ok, some mistake on my part or his. No big deal. The next week no one showed up again and no phone call. So I called last week and we set up an appointment between 9-11am for Tues. July 28th. Once again, no one showed and no phone call. Left a message that was basically, "What the hell Mike." 3 times you flake on us? No return phone call or text. It's been some time since I hired these guys for my HERS testing in a complete home renovation with…read morea complete new HVAC system. However, I feel this needs to be said. Also, my house is done and I've been using my HVAC system without issue. They showed up without the proper equipment, explaining their usual equipment was in the shop for service. They used very imprecise hand-held meters, and did a sloppy job taping up the vents as well. When I questioned their methodology, and how they were using their meter, which was visibly open to errors, rather than explain things they got insulted snd angry, saying "now you're just insulting my professionalism." Any explanations they did give were very obviously wrong, and it was obvious they didn't know my level of knowledge and understanding of how this should have been done. They failed my house, charged full price, and said to call for a retest after I have the HVAC installers come out and properly seal the (properly sealed) system. They told me the HVAC installers clearly had no idea what they were doing and did a hack install of my system. I called another testing company the next day, and the HVAC company. Both arrived for a retest, and the HVAC installers were there to resolve any issues that were found. NO ISSUES were found by the second testing company, who were far more professional and actually used the proper equipment. Grizzly wasted my money, my time, and the HVAC company's time coming out for what amounted to a completely unnecessary visit. I'm guessing Grizzly was just looking to get paid for a second retest out of the job, assuming I would just call them back for the second test. Unprofessional, and dishonest would be putting it lightly. In the end, the system they said was installed sloppily and was "hack" work has been functioning completely as it should- efficiently and effectively. Steer clear of this company!

We bought two items, solar attic fan and Eco Probiotic system. We have seen zero difference with the probiotic system. This company has horrible customer service and we have had to call numerous times trying to get a refund of the probiotic system. We leave messages and no return calls. We finally spoke to someone who we had left a message for when they answered the phone on one of our numerous calls. They will not give a refund, as they state they cant take back a used unit. They will come out and replace the unit which means they are taking back a used unit. I wish I had done research online before buying their product. As it is we agreed for them to come out and check on the performance of the project but they are no longer in our area and we have no idea when they will be again. FYI if you get the invitation BEWARE THEY WILL INSTALL WITHIN A FEW DAYS, TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN.
