Jose then started his own company and we've hired him several times since then. (Most recently we hired him to replace a sink/vanity and paint/fix up our entire basement apartment.) He charges a very fair price, does incredible work and has great attention to detail. Jose can pretty much do it all. He's done some plumbing and electrical work, installed cabinets, replaced drywall... Jose is also able to do smaller jobs too - he's hung heavy shelves for us, replaced light fixtures, etc. We couldn't recommend him more strongly.

Our metal handrailing was also in need of sanding and painting. After getting several quotes, we selected Carlos Mosquera and his crew. Their proposal was detailed and described all the steps/work they would do. It gave us a good idea that they would do the job right. They gave us an estimated start time and the crew arrived on time and got right to work. They worked for two days just cleaning all the windows and house trim -- and even the gutters and soffits! What a difference that made. It made everything, even the areas like gutters and soffits that would not be painted, look so clean and bright. After two more days, the trim that needed replacement was replaced, all the trim was primed and repainted, the railing was sanded and repainted, and the exterior of the house now looks as good as new. The crew made sure that all the windows opened properly and did a fine job of cleaning up. The house looks wonderful. Based on our good experience, we would highly recommend them.

He sent an email with a description of the paint job to be done along with all his licenses and qualifications in multiple attachments. He was not the one who did the job though, one of his men did it. It took him two days, and Carlos did come out at the end of each day to check over his work. I am overall pleased with the job, the doors and porch look good, but as for the steps, I can see patches on the steps where the old paint had flaked off. I was hoping for a more even cover up. Was that an unreasonable expectation? That's why the 4 stars.

Jose, the owner, and his crew, are polite, excellent craftsman, have incredible attention to detail, but beyond that, Jose communicates and speaks with you along the way. This blend of communication, craftsmanship, and hard work elevates this company beyond any other I have worked with. These intangibles were invaluable for us. Jose told us each day when he would be onsite, if he was running late, and what the timing would be as far as deliveries, removal of trash, and costs. Jose also brought up any issues or obstacles he came across during the remodel process. After we started our project, Jose was also able to include a bathroom vanity, mirror, and light installation. There was a washer connection that was already there. Roldan came to see the scope of work, we agreed on a price and a few days later, he sent his workers. His workers did not know what they were doing, they made a hole in the drywall to accommodate the washer's two pipes. When I stopped them, and contacted Roldan, he refused to come and see the shoddy work, stating he was out of town. His workers kept running the garbage disposal without first letting the water run. They placed three outlets with neutral wires attached to the positive wire, resulting in 240 voltage. Luckily, a family member noticed the high voltage and an electrician was called to rectify this fatal error. If I could give him zero stars, I would.
