The bright yellow and blue place was hopping with the Saturday lunch crowd. There are seven tables inside (all filled) and two covered blue picnic tables outside. Seating is tight, but fun. Classic soft rock plays in the background. The menu offers burgers, hotdogs, tenderloin and other assorted diner foods. People say the burgers are the best in town. Daily specials are listed on a board. They also serve local Triple X root beer and fried Oreos. Klayton took our order. The staff is friendly and efficient. Food came out quick. I had a Chicago Dog (Nathan's dogs). The dog was thick, juicy and authentic, except for the relish. The poppy seed bun was packed with pickles, peppers, tomato, onions and mustard. It was a great dog. My husband had a loaded pork tenderloin, which we were told is the "best". The enormous pork tenderloin was hand pounded and tasted super fresh. The corn meal breading was tasty. The brioche bun was toasted. He loved the tenderloin and gave it a solid "5" and said it was Trail worthy (an honor not bestowed easily). We shared an order of their crinkle cut fries. The fries were super hot and crisp. There is plenty of parking. A beautiful orange tabby greets you at your car. A freshly painted yellow fence surrounds the lot. We'll be back to try the ice cream. Super fun place. Worth the drive.

It's just not good anymore. all the servers are very nice and lots about the only thing I can complement the table we sat at was Jody the food we ordered wasn't very good. There were two places to get breakfast in town or near town. The other one was jammed and you couldn't get either a parking spot or a table so we need to have a quick breakfast and we went to downtown diner we will never do that again.

The tiny restaurant was packed with a line waiting for a table for New Year's Eve lunch. The wait was short, maybe 10 minutes. The place is not fancy or upscale - just salt of the earth. The tables are covered in Formica and clean. It was loud inside with all tables filled and people in a festive mood. People seemed to know each other. Homemade pies filled a case $3.75 a slice. We sat in a comfy booth. The menu is a mix of traditional breakfast and lunch items. They're famous for their one pound hamburgers. I ordered the daily special Rueben Sandwich with fries and coleslaw for only $9.50. What a deal! My meal was huge. The Rueben was on toasted marble rye. There was plenty of corn beef, sauerkraut, cheese and sauce. The fries were nice and hot. The coleslaw was thin sliced and sweet. I finished my meal with a slice of Lemon Meringue pie. The slice was generous and I shared it with my husband. Krista, our server was friendly and attentive. Drink orders are taken quickly. Food comes out in a reasonable amount of time. The staff was hustling to keep up with the packed house. They have daily specials and a kid's menu. Parking is limited in their small lot but there is nearby street parking.

It pains me to hear that so many people hate candy corn. Although Zachary's mellowcreme pumpkins are not exactly candy corn, they are nearly identical. Mellowcreme pumpkins are basically a giant chunk of candy corn shaped like a pumpkin. The candy is firm on the outside, but soft and dense once your teeth penetrate its outer layer. It's essentially a giant piece of sugar that has a hint of honey. If you're looking for a sugar rush, then this is the type of pumpkin patch you want to visit. Even if you do not enjoy candy corn you have to admit that the mellowcreme pumpkins look kind of cool. I eat mine straight up, but they also make nice decorations for home baked Halloween treats like cupcakes. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews

So I always say, look around, check out discount stores. Many people like to entertain at their homes, preparing good food and drink. And if they really want to make it nice, they'll make a dessert. And since I've worked in Food and Beverage, I remember seeing "Mints" being served. :) If you go to any major grocery store (no names mentioned) as we all know, you will pay through the nose for many things. So shop around!!! The other night I was having a friend stop by and I wanted to make it a bit nicer for the supper table. I had been at a discount store earlier and discovered "Zachary Mints". The cost? $1.25. A product like this at major retailers would be a minimum of $3.50 upwards to $4,or $5 dollars. Shop around people, fight inflation.
