So much potential for the right restaurateur. First and last visit. I had high hopes. Bagels were good but they get them delivered every morning. Owner was working alone. Atmosphere is bad, looks more like a stockroom than a cafe. Depressing atmosphere with too much stuff in dining room with no cohesive feeling. Back the blue flag hanging is a huge turnoff. Could be fantastic in the right hands. There are 2 other terrific options nearby in this category of cafe who are doing it right. Although the bagels are displayed behind a glass case at the counter, they are simply taking plastic bags of 1/2 dozen bagels and dumping them in the display case. Yes, the staff is capable of toasting a bagel and spreading cream cheese on it, and the atmosphere is a cute neighborhood vibe, but you might as well go to a supermarket and buy bagels if you're competent using a toaster at home. read more

Sorry but this place is/was horrible. Maybe they just had a bad day. My cinnamon raisin bagel was burned black, hard and tasteless. The honey walnut cream cheese was a clump of clay and just didn't taste good. The coffee was fine and the service was okay but I felt I was just tossing my money away... Plenty of tables to sit and there is a sign that says no outside beverages. I wonder if it was put up after the person brought in marylous coffee or before lol. 5 or 6 dollars for a breakfast sandwich is a bit high but it was very good. I used to come here all the time while I attended BSU and I still return once or twice a week because I visit my friends and we grab bagels because it's the only thing closest to campus. However the staff and the owner are awful. So rude that they wouldn't know customer service if it was right in front of their face, honestly smile more and say thank you. I'm a big fan of supporting local stores, but I'm starting to not love Bridgewater bagel because of my experiences. My bagels have increasingly tasted awful and the cream cheese is awful. Had a delicious bagel and banana hazelnut iced coffee. Yum. Atmosphere was great and service was quick. Lots of fun flavors. My only suggestion would be adding lox as a topping and adding Vietnamese ice coffee and London fog to the menu. They also have nitro and cold brew. read more

More of a personnel star rating than food, sad really, to be honest the bagels are pretty good and there's an excellent selection of flavored cream cheese, they also offer breakfast sandwiches and of course many different types of coffee. The let down is the staff. I'd noted on other reviews the lack of enthusiasm and general rudeness but i always like to see for myself and give them the benefit of the doubt, you never know, they could have been having a bad day that day, unfortunately other reviewers were correct. A simple "hello" or "good morning" would have been nice, forget about please and thank you, i'd have been happy just to be greeted! Maybe they own this place or their parents or other family member does, whatever the case maybe, they have to make at least an effort to be cordial and welcoming, i know its early morning, but come on! I have been going to Bridgewater bagel for 5 years, when it was open on broad street and now spring street. Nothing has changed or gotten better with the staff, customer service, and speed of service in the 5 years I've been going here. The only reason I come back is because the bagels are good for the Bridgewater area and coffee is $1.60. My advice for the owner, put a smile on. Also, put more staff on during busy times especially weekends. Having 2 people attending to customers causes it to take an unnecessary amount of time. I wanted to get a coffee today and had to wait in line for 15 minutes. One person should stay on the register, one person makes the coffees and one or two people make and fill bagel orders. It will help with efficiency and not annoy people to the point of no return. read more

While I love the bagels, the service is truly awful. The owner is very rude and many of her workers are as well. On my last visit the first thing that was said to me was "what do you want" the last thing that was said was "yup" when I said thank you. This rudeness is a common occurrence that I feel the owner needs to address and fix! read more

I love this place. I notice a lot of reviews of the "rude customer service" which I completely don't understand. I'm a quiet person who doesn't like a lot of conversation. So naturally I love being rang out, and sent on my way without 50 conversations along the way. I would never say the staff is rude though. At least to my knowledge. I am a manager at a major coffee chain, and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. The cafe itself is cozy, very appealing to the eye, and seems to run very successfully. I went here to get a bagel this morning as I have done in the past. They have pretty average/good bagels and I live nearby so I decided to stop in like I usually do. I have noticed that the workers and managers have always been slightly rude in general but today there was an instance that made me decide to do a review. I walked in with a coffee from Marylous and ordered my bagel with the intention of sitting there and eating it with my friend who I hadn't seen in a while. I got my bagel and went to sit down and who I believe is the manager came over to tell me that I can't sit down there with a coffee from somewhere else. The way she went about it was incredibly rude and unnecessary. I would like to note that I never get my coffees from there and wouldn't have today regardless of if I had that coffee or not. Is the owner that insecure that she believes that a coffee from another place will drive customers out of her place? Will not be going to Bridgewater Bagel again. read more

I dont understand the hype about this place. The girls arent friendly, they are short and definitely dont provide five star service. Every time i ask for cream cheese ON THE SIDE they continue to just slop it on the bagel. They slop a huge blob of it in the middle and then squish the bagel down. Its impossible to get off and last time i had more chives than i did cream cheese. It was honestly gross. I also found not one, but two little blonde hairs in the cream cheese. There was only one other customer there who was sitting down eating and I felt like they were annoyed that I have the nerve to come in for a bagel. The Bagels and cream cheese are the best around. The lady behind the register though.... LOL her attitude is the worst! I have caught her overcharging my card on two occasions and she just apologizes for her 'mistake' with her fake smile. Definitely must be a cheerleading mom. Doesn't she know that most/all of her customers come back religiously? Must be too hung over in the morning to pay attention. Or she could simply be a miserable soul?
