It was busy, so you could tell that it is a popular spot. It is set on the river that runs through the village so you can enjoy your breakfast while the water slowly flows by you. This area and the cafe are beautiful. The staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. Even though they were very busy, they showed no signs of being annoyed or overwhelmed. They seemed genuinely happy you were there and eager to make sure you were happy with your stay. We ordered the sausage rolls and a Cornish pastry and they were very good. I'm sure there are a lot of amazing restaurants in the place, but you would not go wrong stoping by here to grab a coffee and a bite to eat.

Due to the floods in Bidford last year the place has been refurbished, and this is a marked improvement on how it used to be (there is always a silver lining to all clouds). There are two slight issues with this Chinese, the price and the length of time you have to wait for your food. The time you have to wait does indicate that all of the food is freshly cooked for you, however even when you phone to place your order and are told to be there in 20 minutes, you turn up and have to wait another 5 or 10 minutes for it to be ready. As the only Chinese in the local vicinity you can't really blame them for charging more for their produce than you would get charged elsewhere, however if you fancy a Chinese you fancy a Chinese!

It was 10.25 on Wednesday evening, February 25th, but we were turned away by the young barman, as he said he had already called last orders and wasn't letting anybody else in. Now, my husband and I were very disappointed, as everywhere else in the town had been so welcoming and accommodating. We walked across the road and had a few drinks in another bar, as there are plenty of nice places to choose from, BUT, if I was the owner of this establishment, I would not be best pleased at young bar staff turning my customers away. That is a lot of revenue to lose over the year if this is happening every night, especially with the cost of living at its current high and the daily struggle that pubs face to stay profitable!! Maybe a bit of staff re-training wouldn't go amiss and a reminder of who pays the wages!!
