I sat on writing this review for a long time. My wedding was over a year ago but every time I look at photos of my wedding I can't help but remember what I went through at Bridal Reflections. My experience while picking out my dress was incredible. The selection was beautiful and I found the dress of my dreams. The major issues occurred on the alterations side. From the first meeting with the seamstress, I was nervous. She was very aggressive and instead of addressing my concerns she continuously told me how much experience she has. She said all her past brides have been very happy with her work and there have never been any issues. When I came for my second fitting, the bra I had ordered at my last fitting was never ordered. The front desk tried to blame it on me and said I never requested it to be ordered when I had prof that I paid for it. When I put my dress on, nothing was changed to the dress. Everything was the same. When I asked why nothing was done, I didn't get a clear answer. I was then given a bra they had in the store that was a size smaller than what I needed. The seamstress convinced me that this bra was fine and I didn't need the other one. When I finally went to pick up my dress a week before my wedding, the front desk tried to just hand me my dress without having a chance to put it on or look over it. I asked if I could look over the dress before I left and I was given an attitude and told all the rooms were being used so I had to wait. Once we got a fitting room, I noticed things were still not fixed on the dress and there were holes in the lace on the bottom of the dress. There was also lots of pins left in the dress. When the seamstress came to speak with us, she continued to tell us that no bride has ever complained about her work before and that everything looked fine. We pointed out the holes and we were told they could cover it with more lace. Leaving the salon that day I was in full panic mode. It was a week before my wedding and my dress was a major issue. When I picked up my dress, thing were still not 100% fixed but I just had to deal with it because my wedding was in 2 days and there was no time left to have anything fixed. Plus I had lost total confidence and didn't want to leave my dress to be "fixed", again. The alterations were expensive so to be treated like that and to not have the work completed correctly was absolutely horrible. I really hope these issues have been addressed since my wedding because I would never want any bride to experience what I did. (This event occurred Pre-Covid) read more

Shopping for bridesmaid dresses was a breeze and just as fun at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa which is serviced with great professionalism. It is located right by the train station that made it an easy commute coming from NYC. I did some homework first and picked out a few styles I liked for my BMs. When I called to schedule an appointment, they were very accommodating on the time selection I wanted on a weekend. I also told them which styles I liked and they were able to tell me which one of them they carried and they were able to put aside the styles that they did have for my consultation. Like most establishment that you plan on bringing a group, you will need an appointment, especially if you are looking to work with a consultant, looking for a specific dress, need advice, suggestions, questions, swatches... etc. (Remember, this is a boutique not a department store.) Of course it was overwhelming with so many dresses they had to select from. I would understand if brides get frustrated having to choose from so many choices without knowing what they even wanted plus with the addition of all the different opinions of your BMs, it would be easy to get overwhelmed. The consultants were all very helpful and gave enough space so I can chat with my BMs so they can express their thoughts freely and the consultants was very attentive when needed. We found a beautiful Lazaro Noir dress that came in the perfect blush and made the girls look so glamorous! Measurements were easily taken and the fitting procedure was explained thoroughly. My BMs also had the option to take their dress elsewhere if they preferred their personal seamstress to alter their dress which made it very convenient for them so they're no obligations to alter at the store. All the Bridesmaids looked beautiful!! I was also in need of a last minute Grandmother of the Groom and Grandmother of the Bride dress. The consultants in the evening gown department found me 2 beautiful and appropriate dresses for grandmothers and were able to get them in time and accommodated their fittings in the tight turnaround time. I had a great experience at Bridal Reflections! I made a last-minute appointment over the phone with Allie for bridal and was lucky enough to have Rachna as my bridal consultant. I went to the appointment with my mom and Rachna made us both feel comfortable. She was picking up on what I liked and didn't like about each dress. After trying on multiple dresses, she pulled "the dress" and I fell in love! Allie also helped and gave her input on the dress. I was at the store for almost three hours but never felt rushed. I went to Bridal Reflections this past Saturday (7/28) and SAID YES TO THE DRESS. Upon arrival was nicely greeted by Jody at the store and told to get comfortable while she got things ready. I did arrive prior to 10am, but they were nice enough to open the doors. The shop is beautiful, very clean and open with lots of space. I brought a good amount of pictures with me and then proceeded to walk around and pick out what I liked. I do have specific taste and knew exactly what I wanted. When my posse arrived, we were taken into the back of the store and had the whole area to ourselves. I felt very well taken care of, Jody is an expert and very honest. She was appropriate in all her comments, I didn't feel they were rude and it definitely helped to eliminate some dresses. My best friend aka Matron of Honor came into the dressing room with me and we had an amazing time. I do feel it's a shame that some of the reviews on Bridal Reflections are negative, however, I felt like I gained a girlfriend in Jody by the time my appointment was over. She was extremely accommodating and even a bit flexible on the price! Danielle was also a big help when Jody had to run to measure. I had the most amazing experience shopping for my wedding dress in this salon! I walked into my appointment not having the slightest idea of what type/style/color dress I wanted. My consultant Jodi asked me a few questions and brought me different styles to try on. She was patient, very knowledgeable, kind and actually cared to find me a dress that I would love. She succeeded not only with the dress but also with the veil in which appointment I was completely alone. She was so caring and understood exactly what I wanted that I didn't need my family there! This is the only bridal place I've been to so I don't have much to compare it to. Our first time there when my sister in law picked out her dress they were great! Helpful, kind, and I would even go as far to say fun. When we went for the first fitting of the dress she purchased it was a little different. They had very young girls helping us who didn't seem to be knowledgeable about anything. They were short with us and I left feeling kind of snubbed! Not sure if every place is like this but it's such a happy time I think anyone in this industry should be extra friendly and looking to make the brides experience as special as possible through the whole process read more

Jackie made such an impression during my first visit, that I had to request her again! The whole experience was great. Every time I called everyone was so helpful and responsive. Jackie and Allie listened and understood exactly what I was looking for. They pulled the style of dress that I wanted to see and went above and beyond so I could see my vision come true. The moment I walked into Bridal Reflections, I was greeted with such a warm welcome. My first appointment was with Jody and she was incredible. She made me feel so comfortable, listened attentively to what I was looking for, brought in fabulous options and was simply a lovely person to be around. She answered all of my questions (even after our appointment) and was willing to go above and beyond in helping me find my dream dress. My second appointment was with Joe and he was just as fantastic! He was sweet, charismatic and put a smile on my face the entire time. Just like Jody, Joe was so helpful in answering any questions I had about the dress and the process. Unprofessional sales staff...major "rip off" regarding alterations..eg. Suggesting paying extra for "tall" dress only to charge even more for all the hemming ....the staff working at this "salon" are similar to tanning salon employees. Very disappointed and would never recommend this bridal store. Having been the mother of the bride 4 times....stick with Kleinfelds! Bridal reflections in Massapequa made my wedding dress shopping so enjoyable! The girl that I had was absolutely amazing! She asked me what I was looking for and by the second dress I was done shopping. She insisted that I come back in two weeks when the trunk show was and buy it at a discounted rate. Only thing that upset me was they measured me for such a big dress that I hit the max price for alterations. Other than that, the seamstress that worked with me was an absolute sweetheart, she listened to me and she gave me her advice. Let me just put it in simple words. You aren't gonna get what you ask for. My dress was extremely loose ($?) + I payed$100.00 for the alterations only, it was longer In the front, the bottom wasn't even, the dress was going down, I was pulling it up and holding the dress the whole time that I was at the celebration. The dress was a mermaid dress and it was so lose that it didn't look like a mermaid dress. I was completely unhappy with the dress. read more

I cannot deny that the shop itself is beautiful. They have a great selection and "professional" staff. Despite outward appearances, I have had many disappointing experiences at bridal reflections as opposed to other shops, as I have been a part of eight wedding parties in my life. This most recent experience topped them all. I regret to inform all pregnant bridesmaids that maternity alterations may put you in the poor house. After my fitting, I was advised that my maternity alterations would cost me more than the dress itself, a whopping $225. The dress itself was $217. Add that up and you're looking at a $443 bridesmaid dress that I can never wear again. Mind you, I had not gained that much weight. In fact, the dress as it was fit me, but to be on the safe side, as the wedding was six weeks away, I was told they needed to order an extra yard of fabric which costs $65. This would leave $160 for the seamstress and the shop's profit. In my mind, this is outrageous and completely unfair. I did some research and found a shop that could order me the fabric for $43, so in lieu of begrudgingly giving bridal reflections any more of my money, I paid the balance of the dress off and left to bring it to a reasonable seamstress. Bridal reflections is more expensive and snobby than any other bridal shop I've been to. In my opinion, I would recommend Burton Bridals on Old Walt Whitman Road in Melville. It may not be the fanciest place, but you will keep your bridesmaids happy and more money in your pocket. read more

We went to purchase a wedding dress for my sister. The experience was horrible. The sales girl just wanted to make a sale. Did not pay attention to what the bride was saying. The bride told the lady max budget for the dress was $4000, the sales lady brings out a dress which is over $5K (which the bride finds out after putting the dress on.) The bride showed pictures of the dresses and the sales girl dismissed it by saying that "she is so set on what she wants that the bride does not know what she wants." All their dresses which my sister tried on were old and worn. Some of the dresses were ripped. The dresses were blush color or beige color, they did not have any white dresses there for her try on. The dresses which were offered to her were very old and very dirty looking. The sales lady made the bride feel that she was wasting her time and tried to push the bride just to make a sale. The service which my sister received was mediocre to say the least and very unprofessional. My sister went out of the boutique very discouraged and disappointed with the experience she got at Bridal Reflections at the Massapequa location and the Bridal Consultant's name is Rachima. read more

I forgot the woman's name who was helping me but she was nice and asked a lot of questions about the setting of my wedding and what I was looking for, also asking if I had any pictures. She actually picked out better dresses then I did. She did however keep ignoring my cousin when she was asking who designed the dress I was trying on and how much it was. Her mood seemed to shift a lot after I'm assuming who was the owner, started talking to her. She got really pushy and quite. While I was in the changing room my mom and cousins were talking to the owner and when I came out they said she was being really nasty. Omg Run as fast as you can AWAY from this place. The owner Roselynn was beyond rude. Condescending is too mild. My daughter went in for her 1st fitting wanting to make sure there wouldn't be an issue with taking in the gown. I had concerns about the bridesmaids gowns. Basically sizing. A gown was ordered in the Carl Place store where my neice had to have her gown taking out 3 times and it is still too tight. My concern was they used the same sizing for the bridesmaids gown for my daughters wedding and I didn't want the same issues. Roselynn for some reason or another had a hard time comprehending what I was saying. Asked me if my neice gained weight. I said no. She proceeded to tell me "that's what they all say" I have been working for 20 years doing this and No one ever admits they gained weight. I was annoyed and insulted by her remarks. Needless to say it went from bad to worse. She said she was calling the police. I said go ahead. She said "you really want me to do that". I said I don't care what you do. She than said I am not doing business with you and gave me my money back. Roselynn failed on so many levels. The most important one is the Bride. She ruined what is suppose to be the most important day for the bride. We are now forced to look for a gown in less than 5 months. Not only the wedding gown but also 6 bridesmaid gowns. It is clear she does NOT care for her customers. She did NOT care about the bride or how she feels. Roselynn was very quick to tell me she is THE OWNER. It is obvious Roselynn has NO customer service skills. It was clear from the start... she emitted not only in her actions but her appearance the "I don't care for you attitude". She let me know that my business is not something she needs or wants. There are so many things she should have done differently but instead she took this out on the bride and ruin the entire experience of what should be a happy one. read more

I HATE being a bride sometimes. I hate bridal salons even more. Theyre all so pushy and 99% of the brides are just....BLEH. To add to my existing frustration i thought it was a splendid idea to make an appointment to look at bridesmaid dresses on a saturday afternoon. hmmm...i wish someone would have told me i was nuts. The place was packed with pushy broads wanting service NOW NOW NOW. I went straight to the bridesmaid dresses with one of my girls and started to browse. A girl came over to help us and said anything we pick she would bring to our "room" so we picked about 15-20 dresses....they were whisked away to our room. great. We get to this room....its the size of a macys dressing room. There were 2 other rooms open that were much bigger and had seating for me and my sister who had since showed up. We had to awkwardly stand in a high traffic hallway of sorts while she came out for an all-to-see fashion show. We found a dress we liked and no one was around to even ask about ordering. Fine. They were way overpriced anyway. I've read about how horrible their service was...if you google the store theres 8 one star reviews. OUCH. i should have gone somewhere else. They get 2 stars for being helpful for the first half of the bridesmaid dress buying experience. read more

Then they had the dress for two weeks and did not have alterations done when I called for pick up. I would not recommend this place for your bridal gown. I made an appointment for a Saturday at 12:00 p.m. When I made the appointment they asked for my credit card. When I questioned them, they said they charge you if you cancel. Didn't really like that but ok, I obliged. They also told me I could only bring two people, which annoyed me too. So I ended up inviting all my bridesmaids anyway. We all got there early for the appointment so we were there around 11:50 a.m. We weren't even greeted and I had to go up to the desk, where it was a chaotic, and find someone to tell them I had an appointment. They made me fill out a piece of paper and sent me over to the couch. The woman who was going to do my appointment told me she was running behind. Turns out, a walk in came in and they were accommodating this person when I had an appointment!! So I end up waiting for close to 40 minutes. Then the attendant, Jody, came up to me and asked me what style dresses I liked. I told her shape of the dress I liked. She never asked me about fabric, beading, etc. So then she directs me into a room and is bringing in all these lace dresses. (Sidenote: lace wedding dresses are NOT my style at all.) So I told her I don't like lace dresses, to which she seemed annoyed. Then I showed her a picture of the style of another dress I liked. Then she goes, "Well you never said satin!!!" She was very condescending the way she said it. First of all, she never asked me the material - she does this all day everyday, she should have asked me questions like material, beading, shape - all that. Between keeping me waiting for so long, being annoyed that I didn't like the lace dresses she pulled, then being condescending when I showed her the picture of a dress I did like....this place gets 1 star. Only good thing was they had a lot of seating, accommodated the 5 people I brought and the rooms/store was very pretty. Also, even after I showed the girl what I liked, she still didn't pull dresses I liked. There was maybe 1 or 2 were ok, but nothing she picked wowed me at all. read more

The lowest priced gowns of all the Bridal Reflections, like Carle Place, I was able to try on as many gowns as I wanted. I went to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa and had such an amazing experience there! Let me start off by saying I had zero intentions of finding my dress that day especially being that my wedding isn't until 2022. It was my first time looking and I thought for sure I would be overwhelmed but the whole process was completely opposite of that! Rashna was my consultant and she is a complete godsend for us brides. She made me feel so comfortable and she is incredible at what she does. Rashna is very knowledgeable about the gowns and their designers. First she picked out a bunch of different styles to see which type complimented me best and then worked with specific details I wanted. I really appreciated her honesty during the try on process, she makes sure that whatever it is you're wearing looks amazing on you. It turned out the first gown I tried was the one I said yes to! I fell in love with this gown and I know no matter how many dresses I try on over the next two years I would still end up coming back to this one. It was everything I could've wanted and more. Allie the bridal manager was there to help assist as well and she was so sweet and supportive! They have an amazing team there and I really felt so special. It was like my own little hype crew! I can't thank Bridal Reflections enough for all that they've done for me. I plan on bringing my bridesmaids to their other location as well! read more

***DON'T GO HERE! Don't give them your time and money"*** Thursday May 26th I had an appointment at the massapequa location for the veil trunk show/ showcase; an individual appointment with a designer just for veils and headpieces. I physically went in a month and a half prior to this event to book my time with the designer. The ladies at the front desk put a note in the system to let the designer know I am looking for a "birdcage" headpiece. We specifically booked an appointment for a designer for birdcage headpieces only. And was garenteed that it could happen. The day of the event, Upon signing in at the front desk, the lady at the computer read off my name and my note (on headpiece type). A coworker turned to us and stated "oh, well our designer did not bring any birdcages". She informed us that we needed a note in the computer for them to tell the designer to bring that trunk. And obviously we did because it was in their system. They failed to inform the designer. She repeatedly tried to blame ME for the error. She kept saying loudly that we needed an appointment;yet we had an appointment. They refused to even give us the time of day (even with having an appointment) and rushed us out!!!! They were obviously over booked as their were four other brides already there in dresses for this "individual meeting". The front desk lady quickly mad another appointment for the next showcase A MONTH LATER, expect who would want to go if she messed up my first appointment royally and would not even help Accidents happen, I agree on that and understand. But for the head receptionist to handle it in an unpleasant way and blame a client and in front of a full room. That is unforgettable. read more

I've been here three times twice to get bridesmaid dresses and wants to look for a down they have a wide selection of short and long cancer try on a size 8 for toe that at 12 I'm so if you're any bars in the 12 you might have a hard time trying on a dress year but they have a wide selection of colors and they were good with timing and getting dresses in on time and the prices were average read more

To build upon Anthony's response to my comment, there were no other customers at the salon during the time I am referring to when my mother was trying on dresses, while 5 employees sat/stood around the front desk. There is no excuse here to be made that the employees were helping others, since there was no one else there to be helped. Also, we had an appointment made for first thing when they opened, so it's not as if we just showed up and walked in expecting to be waited on hand and foot. Furthermore, when we had called to make the appointment, they told my mother that even with an appointment it's first come first serve so good luck if the fitting rooms are taken, we will be stuck waiting. As a good manager Anthony, I think you should oversee how your employees are running the business. read more

Came here to look for My wedding gown and it was just okay. It was the first place I went to and I wasn't crazy about their selection. My budget was $3,000 and the girl only pulled dresses that were 2800-3000. I was only allowed to bring 3 ppl and only the staff was able to pull. I liked that at other stores they could look at the selection and pull what they thought I would like. They also didn't like that I wanted to take a picture of one of the gowns I liked. My cousin got her bridal gown here so she suggested we also look at the bridesmaids dresses. The girl who helped was was truly amazing. My cousin told her the color she wanted and suggested a few styles and the girl brought us 7 or 8 dresses to try on. We all have very different body types, but she found us a dress later dubbed "the sisterhood of the traveling bridesmaid dress" because it fit us all perfectly. We got the tailoring done there as well and the seamstress was adorable and did a wonderful job. The only problem with the place is that it is a pretty expensive especially when you consider my THREE HUNDRED DOLLAR DRESS ripped during the reception (as did two of the other bridesmaid's dresses). Not the biggest deal considering I will never wear it again, but it still broke my heart a little. read more
