Their prices were reasonable. My best friend recommended them to me because she also was having trouble finding "the dress" until she came to village bridal. I'm so happy i listened to her! What i really appreciated is that they let you pull dresses yourself and look through the racks. Sabrina was the one to originally help me, she didn't restrict me time wise, she was in the fitting room with me helping me put the dresses on and taking them off. I am a plus size bride so it was difficult to find places with dresses i could fit into and they made me feel so comfortable. I had a few appointments at other stores after i visited Village bridal and i couldn't help but compare the experiences i had at those store to the experience i had at village. At other stores i felt like if you didn't find your dress right away, they got impatient but it's such a hard decision. At Village Bridal they made me and my mom feel like they were our life long friends. My mom also found her dress there. They were not pushy or uptight. Once we started the alteration process we met some of the other Staff like Fran and Ally. They were also amazing and also made us feel like life long friends. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our dresses. When i picked up my dress the week of my wedding it was bittersweet because i knew i wouldn't be seeing them anymore. From the moment I walked in, I felt an awkward uncomfortable unfriendly feeling (not rude, just weird), which continued throughout the appointment. I don't know the consultants names as they didn't introduce themselves. I think there was a hand full of sentences exchanged between us. One consultant was shoving dresses in the dressing room with me, which is the size of a closet, while I still had a dress on so I had to step all over them and kick the dress I took off out of the room under the curtain. I also only got to try on maybe 5 dresses as they started the appointment late but made sure to tell me I only had 8 minutes left at the end. They put the dress in a bag and handed it to me without really saying anything like they just wanted me out. I don't know if they were new or not interested because there is no commission on a free dress, but I would not recommend. I contact them again, am told they see that the refund for 1 tie is missing and will be refunded within 48 hours. Still no refund and it's been 5 days. I'm furious that I have to waste my time chasing down $19.83. PS- the ties are still available as made to order on their website. So be warned, they're probably not in stock And then you too could be planning a wedding and dealing with added stress from David's, every bride's dream.

But unfortunately towards the end of my appointment, a woman came charging towards my brother (A TEENAGER) who was sitting with my sister outside my dressing room and yelled at him that women were changing and it was not appropriate for him to be there. Then he moved off to the side, she yelled at him again and threw a chair down in the front of the store for him to sit facing the wall. At this point, I'm a little annoyed and finish getting changed and decide to say something privately to her. I let her know that I didn't like the way she spoke to my brother and that I would not be buying anything given her display of disrespect. FYI this was my first time ever shopping for a dress ever since I never went to prom or anything. I brought my siblings for their honesty as I value their opinions. She raised her voice and argued that she wasn't being rude because she found a chair for him. I told her not to shout at me especially in front of other customers. She yells at me some more, calling me sweetie, insinuating I brought him as my "little boyfriend" (ew) to watch girls get changed, claiming she's a "top stylist" who does this all the time. I say this is totally absurd given that the dressing rooms are entirely closed off from wall to floor and if anyone wanted extra privacy there was another dozen rooms on the other side of the store to get changed in. Her own client brought their boyfriend and she made him move too. She insisted it was the rule and spoke so authoritatively I thought she was the manager. I ask for her name and she said I don't need to know. So I turn and go to the front to ask another employee. She follows me, shouting and making a scene, getting in my face. I ask the front desk what her name was and they tell me, ANNA. It's hilarious that I'm reading so many reviews about Anna being so nice. Maybe there are two Anna's! Because this one was unprofessional and entirely rude. Anna is now yelling at me in front of the manager and other staff. They are telling Anna to stop and she won't let up. I let them know her attitude and her yelling at me was unacceptable and that I'd never shop here again. They said they understood but could find a time that she would not be there for me to come back. Any time you have to schedule a customer around your VOLATILE employee's shifts, shouldn't that be a red flag to you about who you hire? We ask if it's policy for men not to be present while women try on dresses. They say no, and that they don't know why she said it was. The manager apologizes and says she will discuss it with Anna, and is begging me to come back, telling me they will treat me "right" and that Anna was wrong and embarrassed their business. Someone who works there even came up to me after and said Anna had been so profoundly ridiculous and embarrassed her so much by her behavior that she was sweating. I was like, GIRL ME TOO. Because listen, I'm the first person!! at any time!! any place!!! to argue about a man being in women's business or to let a man know when he is taking up space in a women centered/specific environment. But this was totally unfounded, and her aggressive behavior when I told her that I didn't think it was okay shows me she is NOT someone who should be working at DB. When people go to this store it's in search of a dress for some of the most important days of their lives. Of course they want brothers, fathers, grandfathers etc to be present and help them make the decision to pick out "the" dress. Will all of them be bullied out by this woman??? Did she target my family specifically for a reason?? Unfortunately I'll never know because I will never be returning. So my first ever experience buying a dress was ruined thanks to Anna! Don't go here. And if you do, don't go when Anna is working. (Which is apparently, too often). Zero stars for Anna. My wedding was June 27th. She had my dress since April 30th initially she scheduled me for two alterations and then the pick up on June 21st final fitting was supposed to be May 30th. Everything seemed to be going fine until on May 30th the dress seemed to fit well overall just needed a few final touches near the chest (turns out It fit because It was still pinned, I didn't notice initially, I had to go back to pictures and realized this after the fact) because she said on the 30th It needed some more alterations to get the chest area right, she scheduled me for a 3rd final fitting on June 13th. When I'm walking out my door to go to her on June 13th, she calls to tell me she needs to leave as she has a medical Emergency, okay feel better I say, call Me next week to reschedule. When I don't hear from her by Wednesday the 18th, I call her and she says "I'm dealing with this medical issue right now what do you need is there a deadline?" Wild question to ask given the fact that she should have down that my wedding was the following week.. I politely remind her that my wedding is the 27th and I was leaving the 26th so I really needed It by this weekend. She agreed to see me earlier on in the day on the 21st this was I can pick It up that evening if any additional alterations are needed (by the way I later found out that her medical emergency was that she got two teeth pulled as per her report on the next fitting day) Okay this is where things really get out of control. I go in on the 21st and I am SWIMMING in my dress (this is when I didn't realize until after the fact that this is because the last fitting I had on the 30th the dress only fit because It was pinned AKA she did 0 work) she goes "OH MY GOD you lost so much weight WOW what have you been doing you lost several dress sizes, I need to do more alterations, this is too much work to do in a day, I'll work with you but you have to work with me you have to come back to pick up Monday night" I left scratching my head, I really did not think I lost weight at all let alone 2-3 dress sizes in two weeks but she had me convinced that my hot yoga I've been doing made my dress no longer fit, until my friend and I examined the pic from the last fitting. Once I realized she just straight up lied because she didn't do work and instead used my weight as an excuse, I started panicking. My MOH agreed to go with me Monday, we had a game plan.. go in, really hope the dress is done do my Fitting wait until dress is in bag in hand and then call her out. But then It didn't fit. Yes the alterations on the side were finally done but the chest area remained very loose. I think it's important to add, I'm a C cup, very average breast size there's really no reason to have trouble with this if you're a professional seamstress. Anyway, she says to me "yup like I've said since the beginning, this dress still won't fit your chest right, I will have to add straps, it's very normal, tons of brides do It " mind you, this is now 4 days before my wedding and no she never once mentioned straps to me until this appointment. I said absolutely not, you're not touching my dress another second. She responds "well I know weddings can be stressful but I have mentioned straps since the very beginning (she didn't) and it's not my fault you lost all this weight" that's when I decided to call her out on knowing she was lying then she started screaming at me in her shop like truly screaming at a bride 4 days before her wedding when she messed up this brides wedding dress.. It was a nightmare. Her mom comes out from the back room and assures me she can fix It in under an hour and I can watch. My MOH and I sit there awkwardly as her mom stitches the breast area a little more and makes It a little better It was doable I guess with like fabric tape if I wore It as is. Selene comes back after her mom fixes It to do the 'final fitting' and to show my MOH the terrible bustle she did. During this time she tells me.. don't walk backwards you will trip. Selene at the end goes "you made me nervous before can we hug It out?" It was truly the weirdest situation I honestly just wanted to get out of there so I just Said OK and played nice at the end, I wanted to remove myself from any more conflict and stress. She didn't charge me the final payment due to "misunderstandings" according to her, but her deposit was half so I still paid her $390 and I'm pissed about It.

When I went to pick it up on the day she said it would be done she said she hadn't hemmed it yet and had me wait an hour for it. I packed the dress without looking at it and realized when I got to the wedding the straps were cut and being held together with pins. I had to find a local tailor and pay a rush fee to get it fixed in a few hours. When I called her to tell her what happened she said if I came in with pictures she would refund me $20. Giving how much I paid to get them fixed in a rush this felt like such a slap in the face.
