Burgers were pretty good. Nice big portion that includes a lot of fries. Good atmosphere for eating and watching a game. Decently priced.

Perhaps this should be reframed as a dressed up cafeteria…read more Came in because it was still open late night. The plating is fun, the ambience great. On a fantastic location. The food... so close to being a fabulous bistro. The shrimp toast wast good... except the toast was overly salted with large crystals. The steak was sent out medium to medium as requested but was gristlely and lean. A heavy hit of pepper helped. The whiskey sauce was bit sweet for my liking but a great sauce. The creamy potatoes were awesome. The molten chocolate cake tasted flat. And the soft serve machine was not working. So it was served with whipped cream sprayed awkwardly into a glass. The chocol is the suave tasted like it was right from a squeeze bottle. Priced like many fine eateries in the area... and with servers who are overworked... keep moving on... unless this is the only option open. Even so, you'd be less aggravated!

A good affordable steakhouse in a very convenient location near the train station and T-Centralen…read moreas well. Their prices are affordable for Sweden. I ordered the beef tenderloin with fries and bearnaise sauce which is a very common combination in Sweden. The steak was cooked as I had requested. There wasn't much seasoning of the steak though. I also tried the Belgian Chocolate Cake as dessert. It was ok, good chocolate flavor but I would try something different next time.

It is really a 3.5 stars. We came on a very rainy Sunday after 9:15 PM. Service is non existent. …read more Maybe on a Wednesday at 6:00 PM would be better . . . We had the Rib Eye steak which was better than I expected - not Peter Luger but was very nice and marbled. The piece they cooked was just at the temperature I ordered . . . The potato wedges were perfect - crispy outside and soft inside . Side salad was ok and a generous portion. The fish Arctic Char was fresh and very well made . The shrimp Risotto was ok . Good value !

There are not that many restaurants worth of being called steakhouses in Sweden and the reason is…read morenot just because of Swedes not being fan of "big is always better" or "the louder the better"! The reason is mainly the price of beef due to the rigorous regulation, health and quality codes, VAT and the usual Rules of Supply and Demands. I also suspect that fire departments code play a roll here which I will be explaining later. At Jimmy's the ambiance is great, it looks up-scaled but never feels snobbish and you might enjoy your real charcoal grilled american style food in a manor that is casual but still sharp. The service is adequate somewhat chatty and personal, but to me a tad too much. It is never okay to tell someones date that you are so hungry and her food looks just so delicious you wish it was yours or she could share it with you. The kitchen area is an open one where you can see how your food is being prepared which I myself find quite appealing, cookery is an art and I like to see the artist and the art taking shape. But the result is somewhat uneven from a dinner service to another. I say this right out of the start, We never done lunch here so the experiences are from the special menu or the regular dinner menu. The meat quality and cuts are the essentials when it comes to a steakhouse and at Jimmy's it is great. However and this sadly applies over the entire line, a real charcoal grill should taste more of yes you are right charcoal. Instead of blaming the kitchen perhaps the fire department and its safety and hazard codes are to be hold responsible for the charcoal taste not coming through or varying so much from service to service. At Jimmy's the rib eye is the star of the game but New Richmond Crown Veal or Broadway Joe Lamb Chops both with goat cheese and garlic cream are to die for. What is not to die for however nor should be called "Jimmy's famous" is the burger with the goat cheese that taste just funny, either it is the quality of the minced meat or the combination of how lean/fat that is together with a heavy cheese. And to be honest the price, being cheaper than the rest of the menu, is not competitive compared with what the rest of menu offers. A dish on the menu being the most ordered one does not suggest it being so good to deserve the name "famous", often it is a reflection on the amount of money costumers find reasonable and are comfortable paying for a dinner at a restaurant. If you must have fish, at a steakhouse, try the Southwestern Tuna Fish with hot ginger flavored potato salad, it is truly an intriguing combination and fusion of east meeting west flavors. Jimmys is not the best steakhouse in Stockholm, it certainly hasn't got the largest menu to select from or consistency but it still delivers in terms of quality and value for every buck spent! Jimmy' Achilles heel is the meat not being fully so charcoalish!
