    Mixed meat!
    Jens G.

A fantastic evening at AG yesterday. We started with some tapas. Fried peppers and the sausages were among the favorites. Once seated at the table we enjoyed oysters of fantastic quality as well as a buffet mozzarella that is probably the best I have ever had! The meat was of course the main event. 7 different parts and countries just left me stunned. They know their meat. In my opinion it was cooked to perfection, but some people in our group found it being to rare. I actually didn't look at the sides, the meat was far to good to ruin with potato or sauce. Ending the evening with coffee and dessert was of course a bad decision as I was so full from all the meat. A great experience and a great place. Volume in the room is far to loud, but the meat is making such things disappear!

This is a hairy cocktail list. Let's stick to the beer for now. Drinks later.

This review is for the bar. I just have to underline that the burgers here are incredible good. Soo juicy and loaded with taste. The meat is of very high quality and with a good amount of fat. Medium/rare is my favorite but you can of course choose how well done it should be. The bun elegantly matched the meat and I didn't even think about the toppings, the meat took all focus. Just as it should be. They have a good selection of beers to match the burger too. Have had the tapas here before and they were awesome too. Ends up here every now and then for AW and it never failed me so far. Can be a bit crowded and there are just a few seats. Be there in time if you want to sit down (or book a table at the restaurant). We came 18:30 a Thursday and got the corner seats to our selves.

Ok, so what can be said about AG.. It's f***ing awesome. There's no way going around that. It's definitely on par with Gallagher's or Peter Luger in New York (in my opinion). The service is absolutely great (especially for Sweden), the young servers definitely have great appreciation and knowledge about both the meat and the extensive wine list. I am a rib eye kind of guy. I just love it. I'm boring in that sense that I rarely would try another cut and the same goes at AG. Their rib eyes range from around 300 SEK to around 1500 SEK and I think that you get value for money regardless of what kind of rib eye you decide upon. The meat is tender, flavorful and grilled to perfection (Ramsay would be proud, to say the least). With all of the meat mains, you will get tomatoes au gratin, parmesan crusted salad, fries / baked potato as well as a lovely bearnaise sauce to go with it. The sides compliment the flavors of the meat beautifully. This is my fifth time at AG in about a year (it's really difficult to get a table - primetime during the weekends need to be booked 2-3 months in advance), and I was just here with my Dad and a friend today. My dad was unhappy with his sirloin as there were way too many tendons in it - and they apologized and brought him a better, pricier sirloin that he was happy with. Great service recovery and great meal. Highly recommended - but please make your bookings in advance.

    Steak for two.

AG was by far my favorite meal in Stockholm. We did the steak for two meal which comes with potatoes, salad, and a roasted tomato. We arrived exactly at opening for dinner and luckily got seated immediately. Service was pleasant beginning to end. We tried the dry aged ribeye from Poland and the ribeye from Scotland. I had a really hard time deciding which one I liked more. The dry aged ribeye from Poland had a melt in your mouth texture with subtle, natural flavors while the ribeye from Scotland had bursts of flavors but was a little on the tough side. Both were AMAZING. The potatoes were delicious as well. We really enjoyed the sauce it was served with. The roasted tomatoes were also bursting in flavor and super fresh. I would highly recommend AG to fellow carnivores!

What a great experience. It almost like a secret club. Usually here is someone to greet you. You walk up a circular stair way and walk into a vogue, warm chic environment. To the right the hostess stand sits. To the left you walk into a great bar with several community tables. It's a great way to meet people. Ordered a "paper plane" cocktail sweetened (look it up). Outstanding job. Tapas menu with an off menu special (crab cakes that night). Recommend Burger and Pizza :) A Must if you visit Stockholm :)

What an awesome restaurant!!! Great entrance, where you'd assume you were in the wrong place. I think the story is it used to be a gold processing plant? Hence AG. Well decorated, great service. Food was amazing, especially the dry aged Chilean and Finnish Entrecôte. Full Bar Menu in English as well The sides were wonderful. Can't wait to go back. Definitely rivals or bests some famous American spots IG - foodformybelly

Last night was my 3rd visit to AG in the past two years, and while it was with friends to celebrate I was a bit apprehensive: my last two visits weren't great experiences. Sadly, the trend continues. My disappointing & disappointed experience stems from AG's premise: the steak. The steaks are the stars here, and that is the experience you want...and are paying mightily for. So no matter how marvelous the appetizers are, the wine is, the desserts are, etc.. you come here for the meat. Given that single-serving beef offerings are largely limited to sirloin, ribeye, and absurdly priced Wagyu, the reasonable expectation is that your order would be...well, awesome. It wasn't, and hasn't been. Last night was the 2nd time I ordered the ribeye, and my wife got the sirloin. This time I ordered 'medium' in order to get 'medium rare', since apparently at AG temperature designations are their own, and err to the 'rarer'. I should have known that it would not be a great experience - again - when my steak came out with a little Polish flag. The waiter explained that the meat was from Poland. What? When did Poland become a purveyor of fine meat? My wife's was from Scotland. Anyway, my heart started sinking as I gamely tried to cut the meat (medium rare, for medium). I'm was tough, rubbery, not very flavorful, and definitely NOT worth $50. I buy much better meat at Ostermalm Saluhall, so am stumped - again - as to why they can't serve a better grade of meat? My wife's sirloin was much better, but definitely not Peter Luger grade (as has been commented here, and I'm a displaced New Yorker). The apps & sides were fine (chanterelles toast, mozzarella di buffala, potatoes gratin, etc..). But they're not what you come for. We had 3 bottles of Gaja's 'Promis' (divine), but after a big spectacle of decanting and tasting the wine first, we were served a corked wine (quickly replaced). Really? The Bearnaise was too lemony, and was mixed with parsley (Hmmm...) This will be my last trip here. It's just too expensive for mediocre meat: $800 / SEK 6,500 for two steaks and two burgers. I am giving it three stars because the waiter was a nice guy. Consider elsewhere for your Stockholm steak experience...

A new Stockholm favorite. Located inside a warehouse-kind-of-building you really have to open your eyes to spot it, however inside you will find an extremely trendy, urban and cool place. Grab a seat in the bar and indulge in AG's fantastic burger paired with wine, cocktails, cider etc. The atmosphere is really fantastic with music and lots of people talking.

This place was awesome! I went here on a business dinner with eight colleagues that spoke Swedish and English, and the waitress was very accommodating going between both languages often. We had a mixed grill of different steaks from across the world. They were all cooked perfectly. At AG, you don't feel like you are in Europe, you feel as if you are at some trendy restaurant in New York.

Had such an amazing meal here! Probably the best meat in Stockholm. If you have room for dessert the Crema Catalana is magnificent!

A very cozy, a little bit hidden, place!…read more The interior is really nice and the staff is friendly. We had a 3 course dinner. First we had a small pizza with chèvre cheese and honey, it was really delicious! But the mainciurse! Omg! The meat was perfect! Perfectly spiced and so juicy! The dessert was a chocolate cake. I'm Not so much in to desserts, but my husband was really happy and ate both:-)

Unfortunately, our table was not ready when we arrived which I always think is a bad sign when you've made a booking a few days prior, it's kind of a bad start. This was partly made up by the owner offering us something to drink while we waited and we were seated around 20 minutes after our original reservation time. We definitely went in with high expectations since Anna B. has spoken so highly of this place and in light of the recent "taste test", so we were interested in trying out the exact same pizza in both gluten free and regular form, just to see if the taste test was as infallible as advertised. My girlfriend is gluten intolerant and finding a place that caters to her is definitely a great delight - there's a big lack of places like that when you compare Stockholm to for instance NYC (but I digress). To start off, we ordered the shrimp starter which came in a cute small pan. It consisted of four pieces of shrimp that were swimming in a lovely, zesty garlic sauce. My honest opinion here was that while it was tasty - even for a starter, it was on the cheap side considering the starter cost over 100 SEK. We were served our appetizer within 20 minutes of ordering it. We finished it in like 5 minutes and then a waiting game begun. 30 minutes went by and we still had none of the two pizzas that we had ordered. I grabbed a waitress and asked what the holdup is? (it's a pizza, after all). She then says "oh, you want me to ask them to start it?" which kind of caught me off guard. So, we had ordered our pizzas and after they had cleared our appetizers - they still hadn't started our pizzas? Odd. Either way, after talking to the waitress the pizzas came out after like 15 minutes. We ordered the chorizo pizza which was unbelievably tasty. I loved mine and so did my girlfriend. Whilst the taste was great for both pizzas, I'd say that in a "blind test", you'll definitely be able to tell which one is gluten free and which one isn't - and that's just by the consistency. The pizza was a flavor explosion of the best kind and combined the best flavors in one piece. It totally surpassed the wildest of expectations and I left a very happy camper. I'd even say that out of the hundreds of pizzas I've ever had in Sweden, this one is in the top three. If you take this place for what it is, which is a cute bistro in a very up-and-coming neighborhood that's quickly getting very hip, then you'll have a blast. The next time we come here, we'll definitely skip out on the starter and jump right on the pizzas.
