Sonoma TrainTown Railroad

Sonoma TrainTown Railroad

Cute little place to stop at with a toddler…read more There is a nice little train ride (different cost from other rides there, more expensive) that is actually decently long, and it even stops for you to get out and explore a mini train town and see some alpacas and goats. They have little gumball type machines that you can buy feed to feed the animals for 25 cents. TrainTown has a few other rides as well, including a toddler-friendly roller coaster! There's also a boat ride that spins and goes from side to side, a carousel, a merry go round, a ferris wheel, and others. Parking was easy to find even though the lot isn't huge. This was surprising to us as we went on a clear Saturday in February.

We have taken our train obsessed 4 year old to Traintown many times over the last 2 years. It makes…read morefor a nice day trip from the bay area combined with a nice lunch or dinner in Sonoma - hop monk and red grape close by are great! I like this place because they do not have an entry ticket and you can pay per ride. The train ride is fun and you see waterfalls, real and fake animals, bridges etc. Take some quarters as they are handy if your kid wants to feed the animals (the train driver has change as well) Some rides are scarier than they look, so make sure you check before sending your kid. They have kids running the rides and they do a good job - sometimes there aren't enough operators and you have to wait. There isn't a lot of food options there so take snacks if you need them!

OH. MY. FREAKIN'. GOODNESS. Doing this was fabulous!…read more Standing on the top platform, strapped in and someone holding you from the back as your leaning over the platform with both hands on the bar...I didn't know what I was thinking when I organized a group of people to come here and learn to swing like they do in the circus. I know I was thinking it'd be fun and that indeed, it was. For $35/person (cash or check only), you get the basics in learning the safe and correct way to swing on the bar, letting go of the bar, doing a back flip as you land and last but not least, being "caught" by a Trapeze Pro staff member. Marek and his staff of Daryl, Hope and another lady were so friendly, encouraging and patient that they make you feel at ease as your fear of falling or hurting yourself sinks in as you climb the ladder up to the platform. They're first concern is your safety and of course, making sure you have fun. What I learned is that you gotta give 110% trust these guys. They've been doing this for ages and when they bark their orders, you just gotta do as they say without thinking about it...even if the order is to let go of the bar so you can fall down to the net. The location is definitely lovely. A giant trapeze rig in the outdoors, surrounded by trees and sometimes, rattlesnakes and mountain lions (we had the fortunate pleasure of not seeing either). There are picnic benches and seats for you to sit at. You can bring food but they just ask you to dispose of your own waste. There's a port-o-potty on the grounds as well. Come wearing track pants, sweats or leggings and flip flops or sandals are ideal since when flying, you should be shoe-less or you can wear socks. T-shirts are fine, but since you'll be hanging upside down, you'll either want to tuck in your shirt or you may be flashing your fellow friends. My group of 8 got around 8 swings each on the trapeze. Group are usually 7-10 people and if you have more than 10 you get a 10% discount. In planning a group, I suggest you collect money from everyone BEFORE you arrive because if someone bails out last minute, at least you've gotten their money and aren't stuck paying for them out of your pocket (which is what happened to me). So hold onto that white trapeze bar, look at the Tibetan flag and when Hope says "Ready!" you make sure you bend your knees so that when she says "Hep!" you jump up and there you are...swinging on a trapeze.

Some of the best things in life are the experiences that follow you through your life. I am a…read moreperson absolutely petrified of high places. I am also someone in control of my daily destiny, as well as that of others. This makes for a double whammy with the Trapeze Pro experience. . . Enter Marek (Maw-Rek) and his incredible crew. First, the location is set in the beautiful back country area of Sonoma. You can't help but relax as you drive through the trees to your destination. Everything is set up outside, so YES, you are going to be flying up in the trees (well not IN the trees, but with them). There are trampolines and other hanging apparatus to enjoy yourself with while waiting for your class to begin. Second, Marek, and the entire staff are all so very nice, funny, and encouraging. You feel safe, and you "know you can do this". . . Instructions are clear and concise. Listen to the instructions, . . then turn that logical (which will suddenly become illogical when fear strikes you) brain off, and listen to your instructor! They know exactly what they are doing. I feel for Sharon, as I had a tendency to 'freeze' while on top of the platform. But, she would keep talking, and I would eventually get myself back in order. Keep Smiling!!! . . . You can do this!!! And, Marek, scolding me for 'trying to think it out'. . . Let go of the control button, and just listen to your instructor! With a couple practice swings to get you familiar with the process, and comfortable with actually being on the trapeze, you will find yourself getting excited to complete the process, which will be to release and have someone 'catch' you. It's very exciting, it's very scary (at first), and it's all very much worth your efforts. You will leave with a bit more confidence in what you can accomplish.

This was an amazing experience for my daughter's 6th birthday!!! This was definitely a memory she…read moreand her cousins shall remember forever!! Our Therapist Ana was amazing I look forward to booking an appointment very soon !

In response to comment from Owner:…read more First of all, the little boy did not receive any of the treatments. That is simply untrue, yet we were charged an extra 50$ for him anyway. I booked what the website suggested. "UP TO 4 CHILDREN TWO HOURS ONE THERAPIST $250...1 additional child may be added for $50 to any party" Even that 15 minutes we were behind (sorry, I understand it is not your fault, but it just happens with kids) would not have been enough time for all of the services missed out on. (4 foot and lower leg massages, 4 neck, shoulder & arm mango massages, and 1 chocolate facial, not counting the boy who sat out). These are all things taken directly from your list of services offered on your website. My daughter was happy with the party. Of course she was, she got to see her friends and eat cake. It's hard for a child to miss something they didn't know they were supposed to get. The entire reason I chose this location is because she loves this kind of stuff. However, the location did not even have all of the proper supplies ready to render their services as promised (such as the white chocolate face mask not being white chocolate, which I see has now been changed on the service menu, or hardly spreadable). All of the children who received services were over 5 besides my 4 year old daughter, and she was perfectly patient. We were not offered extra time, we were told that there was another party coming in directly after ours. The party package offered to clients is simply unrealistic in the time given. "LAVENDER AROMA THERAPY CHAMOMILE TEA FOOT SOAK FOOT & LOWER LEG MANGO MASSAGE NECK, SHOULDER & ARM MANGO MASSAGE CHOCOLATE FACIAL SHIRLEY TEMPLE MOCKTAILS FINGER NAIL POLISH WHITE SPA ROBES WHITE SPA SLIPPERS HEADBANDS CUPCAKES CHOICE OF COLORS FOR BALLOONS & DECORATIONS Treatment time 90 minutes Last 30 minutes set aside for cupcakes, refreshments and opening presents" I do not blame the therapist for this. She did the best she could in the time she had. This is not her fault. This falls on management.

Wow! Just had an event at the Lake in Placerville, Ca! That coordinating team was beyond amazing!…read more They said on the day of the wedding I could enjoy the wedding and all would be don't by the team and they were not mistaken! It was unbelievable! Lorie,LaShawna and ALL the others were sooooo wonderful to deal with. Everything was as we talked about and exceeded our expectations!! Afterwards all of our belongings were put out together and ready to go! Would recommend them , no problems with response time or getting things done! Thank you so much for one of the best days ever!

Review This team is NO. FREAKING. JOKE!!!…read more I had my wedding on May 11th and the day couldn't have gone more perfect, and that's thanks to this team. Jessica & LaShawna are freaking stars! The planning process was seamless. I was so impressed with the attention to detail at the wedding venue walkthrough. We walked the entire venue, bounced ideas off each other for placement of every single item, and built a schematic. They even measured the venue to know exact placement of tables, chairs, etc. Planning the wedding was so easy/smooth thanks to the planning tools and check ins. Our rehearsal was straight to the point and very easy. We didn't need the full two hours allotted by our venue because they were on top of everything! Then came the wedding day. Our bridal salon overlooked the venue, so we were able to see the progress throughout the day. THEY WORK HARD!! and I mean, they pay attention to every single little detail to make sure the place looks beautiful and perfect. It was so impressive, we all couldn't stop talking about it. The wedding day went seamless, on time, and without a single issue. Jessica and LaShawna were there every step of the way, speaking to each other through their own personal headpieces. If anything came up or if I had any questions, they were there and ready to help where needed. My wedding wouldn't have gone as well as it did without them, I promise. I feel so grateful to have had the best team out there!! We also decided to hire the CLE House cleanup crew which was fantastic as well! Janet did a great job and cleaning/tidying up fast and making sure we got back all of our stuff. Thank you so much for being the reason why my wedding day went so perfectly CLE House!!!
