From their facebook and the article I got the vibe it was a Cocktail Lounge/Bar with live music etc. We came on a Friday night, there was a good amount of people in the bar. Everyone seemed to be in good spirits enjoying their drinks. We sat at the bar and the bartender Julian helped us. He was very friendly and approachable. I order the Suga Suga How You Get So Fly (it is an espresso martini with a cinnamon rim and a brown sugar syrup) my husband got the Mr. M Berry. Unfortunately I did not like my drink, I drank my husband's drink. His drink was good. Mine tasted very syrupy and artificial in flavor. We decided to stay for one more drink to leave on a good note. I ordered a Tequila Old Fashion (not on the menu) and my husband got Moxie's 4x4. These were a lot better than our first drink. For my old fashion it was very thick and syrupy, but I let the ice melt for a while and it was a better texture. I plan on coming back with some girlfriends and maybe trying some new drinks. As well I think I would like when they have live music more. They were playing really loud club music. Rap and R&B. Don't get me wrong I like that music. But not at a Cocktail Lounge Bar. I was hoping for something a little more relaxing and sensual. Dimmer lights and music to match that vibe. I know it's new so maybe they are still trying to adjust the overall aesthetic. Overall it was a 4/5 maybe a 3.5/5. I will give a more updated review my second time around with the live music and other drinks. Bartender and service: 5/5 Prices are reasonable. Bar is clean and well kept. Menu: 1/5. They are hard to read and flip pages.

First time visiting. Concept and atmosphere was great on a beautiful evening!…read more The covered patio was perfect for what we were wanting to be able to go out with family and small kids. Staff were helpful in making reservations and table accommodations. Initial thoughts: The food however missed the mark. Ordered a variety of items on the dinner menu and most lacked in savory taste. For the price point of items, I did not feel that the value of food matched. Most of our party was not satisfied with items ordered. Service was friendly, however slow on checking in on our table for water refills. I don't know that unless menu items were to change that I would want to return for dinner, but would love to try breakfast. We love local and want to see locally owned thrive - and am hoping to try again in the future and have a different experience.

I have read many of the reviews of Point Nine and, frankly, agree with them. I am giving Point…read moreNine 4/5 stars in the hopes that they will take my comments constructively and become better. First of all, I truly love a restaurant like this in Andover; we've needed a nice establishment that is not a chain restaurant and Point Nine offers this. The ambiance - both inside and outside - is stellar and welcoming. Clean, bright, and colorful, it's a welcome treat in Andover. The beer selection is very nice and their drink menu has something to offer for every patron. The food is great, but Point Nine desperately needs to widen their menu as it's a bit thin on options. I get it: you're new and still experimenting, but you're gonna lose patrons if you do not expand. Furthermore, the service was slow and our waitress openly complained that the "kitchen is too small to accommodate the dining space" and that Point Nine "did not have the food storage space needed to ensure that items did not run out of stock,"...which they did. If this is true - and all the evidence indicates it is - this is a major design flaw in the construction of the actual restaurant. Finally, the menu is RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. I brought my son for lunch here and did not have any alcoholic drinks, but the bill was still nearly $100. Unacceptable if you plan to sustain yourself in a small-market town with other, cheaper options just several miles down the road. I want Point Nine to succeed in Andover. However, the owners must make serious changes to their current business model.

Our small group of 3 already bought 8 drinks and been there for maybe an hour and they told us we need to leave because they have a reservation coming in... When we got up there were 4 booths empty, and all the small tables were empty and half the bar.... I think they told us to leave because it was like 30 mins since we ordered our last drink. Or they didn't want us there and made up an excuse. Either way... weird. I've stayed here before for a long time and bought less drinks and wasn't asked to leave. It was dead inside at 1030PM.
