We were on the hunt for a bar and this was the recommendation. My first time here even though I'm from wichita. The staff were friendly and the drinks were pretty good. I got an old fashioned and we just sat at the bar and caught up with some friends. It wasn't too busy for a Friday night which was perfect. We went to The Rusty Nail on 1/15/26. We arrived a little after 4pm and it was happy hour until 7pm. Half priced drinks and $6 appetizers. Their drink menu is huge. From specialty cocktails, to craft beers, to basic cocktails along with wine and non-alcoholic drinks. The vibe is a dive bar but elevated. Had a very good experience at this restaurant! The build-your-own burger and house-cut fries were delicious and the place has a rustic, old Americana feel to it, right in the heart of Wichita. Would recommend if you are close to downtown. read more

No food !! No lettuce no tomatoes no potato salad absolutely had no food. Could order a salad. Extremely disappointed for 65 bucks. Bartender was good friendly service women's restroom definitely needed to be cleaned. read more

This is a review of the service and ambiance since I did not eat anything when I visited. I will follow up and update once I visit when the kitchen is still open. It was a wonderful experience to visit the Rusty Nail. I would recommend this place to anyone who like Karaoke or a chill place to hang with friends on a random night of the week. The vibe was very laid back and the service was top notch. I will go again and hopefully before their kitchen closes for the night. read more

On a whim as we were headed north on business I quickly searched Yelp for a place to eat! The Rusty Nail did not disappoint. They had just revamped their menu so I figured I would order the burger with the same name! Started out with The Skewered Balls Appetizer! Delicious! The skewer consisted of meat balls, beer pretzels, chunks of cheese. Served with Marina & Chipotle Ranch. A must try! The Rusty Nail Burger was quite tasty! No frozen patty's here. I must admit the fries were not that good however, I manage to eat all of them One of my dining partners ordered the Club Sand w/Tots - now I'm not a tot fan but they looked so much better than my fries. Service was quick, and friendly! I liked the fact that upon checkout a hand held credit card scanner took care of my payment. We (3 of us) went in for lunch and to support a local drive to help out a family. We found a table on the upper level. They had apparently been busy as a few tables needed to be cleared. Our server dropped off some menus and left. We sat there for about 20 minutes with no one returning. Normally I would have gotten up and left but there was more to the story. There was a large party near us and he ran the cards both machines ran out of paper. He apologized profusely. The service was good after that. The food came out pretty fast and was served at the correct temperature. Overall the food was okay nothing special or that made it stand out. The ambiance is casual. They have an outdoor patio, pool tables and a full bar. Overall it was average. Not a place I would avoid but not a "I have to go there" place either. read more

It has been a while, popped up as a suggestion and it was worthy of a good review. Staff is not bad, but also not very attentive. Unique location. Food exceeded expectations. I love salt but fries always overly salty and I am not one to say. Have tried probably 10 different meals. No complaints on food. Tempura breading on chicken. If what you're looking for in a place that you can go and have great food, great ambiance, and near great service all the time.... This IS that place!!! This is a "must go" kinda place delivering great food (love the breakfast burritos), great atmosphere both inside and outside patio, and friendly and prompt (almost always) customer service!! And, love the fact that they have dedicated motorcycle parking!!! Great "upscale dive" that provides everything you want in a bar/restaurant combination!!! Oh, the burgers are CRAZY GOOD.. along w/ most everything on the menu... excellent quality with great portion size! No place is perfect and everyone has a bad day every now and then, but any trace of imperfection and/or bad days are VERY few and far between!!! Love this place!!! read more

I have been to the Rusty Nail several times and have never walked away feeling like a had a great experience. The food has always been very average at best, and the service has always seemed overwhelmed and slow. The ambiance is an old biker bar and that is expected because that is exactly what it is. read more

The service was fine. Got menus, ordered, food came out sooner than expected. That was the only good part. I ordered the Rueben. Very weak. Almost no meat or kraut, lots of "Dry bread" & dressing. (Ever heard of a "wish" sandwich?) A $12 sandwich should have at least 4 oz. meat. My buddy ordered same thing, said same thing. One lady at our table said, "cold fries". Other lady said her quesadillas were "OK". Probably won't return. read more

We tried to do this restaurant last Thursday for date night but we got there after 7pm and they were PACKED, so we waited and went earlier this week (4:30). The music was great, it was loud but not too loud to visit , we enjoyed the Funniest home videos playing on the TV while we waited for our burgers. The service was good, the burgers were great, ambiance was fun and the outdoor seating looked inviting. My tater tots were perfectly cooked, nicely portioned and slightly crispy (better than his fries in my opinion). All in all we enjoyed our night out and would revisit this fun little place again! When our waitress came by, we told her it was our first visit and that we needed a little time with the menu. We ordered drinks, but they came out at odd times--two arrived quickly, while the other two took noticeably longer. My husband ordered a Bijou, which is a unique cocktail, and it seemed to take a while for the bar to figure out how to make it. Still, the drinks were good once they arrived. For food, we tried the burnt ends and the JoJos. The JoJos were excellent--crispy and flavorful--but the burnt ends were disappointing, served a bit cold and lacking in flavor. Things really unraveled with our second round of drinks. Service slowed to a crawl, and we eventually learned that our waitress had been sent home by the manager even though the bar was packed on a Friday night. A young server, only two weeks into the job, was left to take over, and unfortunately, he had no idea what he was doing. Another waitress stopped by to help but admitted she usually works upstairs in the restaurant and didn't know the cocktail menu either. The shift in service quality from the first round of drinks to the second was very jarring. There was live music, but the sound system wasn't great, so it didn't add much to the atmosphere. We did order desserts from the upstairs restaurant, which were a nice finish, but by the end of the night it was clear the staff was overwhelmed. As we left, we even saw the manager outside looking exhausted, which made us feel bad for the whole team. Overall, while the drinks were solid and the JoJos worth trying, the experience was inconsistent and stressful. Maybe we just got caught up in an off night of drama, but I wouldn't recommend Dockum for more than one drink.

From their facebook and the article I got the vibe it was a Cocktail Lounge/Bar with live music etc. We came on a Friday night, there was a good amount of people in the bar. Everyone seemed to be in good spirits enjoying their drinks. We sat at the bar and the bartender Julian helped us. He was very friendly and approachable. I order the Suga Suga How You Get So Fly (it is an espresso martini with a cinnamon rim and a brown sugar syrup) my husband got the Mr. M Berry. Unfortunately I did not like my drink, I drank my husband's drink. His drink was good. Mine tasted very syrupy and artificial in flavor. We decided to stay for one more drink to leave on a good note. I ordered a Tequila Old Fashion (not on the menu) and my husband got Moxie's 4x4. These were a lot better than our first drink. For my old fashion it was very thick and syrupy, but I let the ice melt for a while and it was a better texture. I plan on coming back with some girlfriends and maybe trying some new drinks. As well I think I would like when they have live music more. They were playing really loud club music. Rap and R&B. Don't get me wrong I like that music. But not at a Cocktail Lounge Bar. I was hoping for something a little more relaxing and sensual. Dimmer lights and music to match that vibe. I know it's new so maybe they are still trying to adjust the overall aesthetic. Overall it was a 4/5 maybe a 3.5/5. I will give a more updated review my second time around with the live music and other drinks. Bartender and service: 5/5 Prices are reasonable. Bar is clean and well kept. Menu: 1/5. They are hard to read and flip pages.

Waited 1.5 hours for breakfast. Food cold half the party didn't get food and still had to pay! I've had bad service here... ignored it twice and tried again. Terrible need to figure out the kitchen! Poor waitstaff get bad tips due to the unorganized mess! I won't be returning after this mess of a brunch! Plus the lightbulbs were burnt out!!!
