Aside from the Ngau Lam Wich, try the Char Siu Pork Neck sandwiches- they're delicious! Add some big projectors showing the latest sports and there's little more I can ask for. I think the reason why I don't eat here often enough is because most of my family and friends prefer one of the other cuisines around DDeck, I can't blame them. However, whenever my vote counts for anything it's usually to here. When I don't know what to order I go for their burger and mozzarella sticks, in fact no matter what I go for something and their mozzarella sticks. The burgers are good, big filling and with a generous side of chips, the sticks fantastic. Generally, though, I'll order something from the Indian section, a madras chicken curry and some garlic naan. I'll try to convince some one else to order a plate of chicken tandoori so I can take a bit of that as well. Sometimes I wish I had a bigger stomach so that I could have the tandoori and the curry... and the naan. The food is full of flavor, the portions big, and the service relatively quick.I can tell you how good it is but I think the best way is to go for yourself and try it. It gets busy on the weekends because there's always one sport or another showing; football, rugby, motor sports, and the crowd can get a little rowdy, but don't let the outdoor hooligans intimidate you because inside it's normally much more tranquil. On a non-sports night its a great place to sit outside and enjoy a peaceful, quiet, group dinner. Remember... get the mozzarella sticks.

Food: 4.75 stars Service: 5 stars Environment: 4.25 stars Overall: 4.5 stars Recommendations: pigs head terrine, cheese course (ice cream), cod, grilled salad, Apple tart I came here for lunch and there are three menu options: 1) three course lunch 2) short tasting menu 3) full tasting menu. We had the three course lunch menu which is 290 hkd pax. At the recommendation of the staff I added the cheese course which is actually a cheese ice cream. 1) pumpkin - the first item that came out was an amuse bouche. A power punch of a bite where the pumpkin really shines through. 2) Soda bread- This tastes quite like a muffin. The bread is made fresh in house daily. The butternut is paired with is really high quality and had to use some self control not to eat all of it. 3) Grilled salad (Recommend) - This dish is really tasty. The vegetables are sourced locally and you can really taste the freshness. There is an option to add shaved truffle here. We didn't and didn't regret it as the truffle flavor is usually really strong and j think would over power the veggies. 4) Pigs head terrine (Recommend) - I'm typically not a fan of terrines and cold preparations of meat dishes in general. However, this dish is really flavorful and the pork has a real depth to it. The pork flavor is real strong so if you don't like gamey meat this might not be for you but I really enjoyed it. The brioche it was paired with was also really nice. Crafted in a cinnamon roll type of shape you get some nice textural component from the bread which helps offset the texture of the meat. 5) Cod (Recommend) - The fish was cooked perfectly. Really refined dish which clearly showcases the fish. 6) Duck - The Duck is prepared two ways. One as a seared duck breast with skin on and the other as a the meat component to a purée. The breast was slightly tough but overall I still enjoyed it. The sauce it came with was very good. The purée was slightly too rich for me but it was tasty. If it was a larger portion it would have been to much. 7) Cheese course (Recommended) - At first blush the description of the dish doesn't sound appealing, but this is definitely worth a try. It was my favorite dish of the night. The cheese ice cream uses cheese sourced from the UK. Cheese flavor is subtle and not too overpowering. The sweetness from the raspberry sauce on the bottom was a nice balance to the dish. 8) Apple tart- The apple tart was nice and delicate. The juniper ice cream was an interesting pairing which gave some earthy notes to the dish. Really good and would definitely order again. 9) Stout ice cream - Like the name implies the ice cream has a sour beer taste to it. Definitely not for everyone but if you like that taste you will enjoy this because the beer flavor comes through. The ice cream is paired with burnt milk crisps which I thought were the star of the dish. I really enjoyed my meal here. The food is great and the service was good. The staff understood the menu and were able to help guide my food selection, which really enhanced the experience. I definitely would come back and try the tasting menu sometime.

Food: 4.25 stars Environment: 4.25 stars Service: 3.5 stars Value: 3.5 stars Overall: 4 stars Recommendations: crab cake, linguini vongole, rib eye steak. Things I enjoyed : 1) crab cake - The crab cake is priced at 195 hkd for a large crab cake. This made of fresh crab and there isn't that much filler. It had a nice crispy crust on the outside and filled with plump crab. Really delicious dish. 2) Linguini vongole - Noodles were cooked to a nice al dente and the broth was really delicious. The clams were also quite plentiful and nice and big. 3) Rib eye steak- Quality of the meat is good and meat was seasoned properly. I would have liked the cut to be a bit thicker but overall this is a good steak. I also enjoyed the horseradish as it wasn't that strong and provided a nice flavor contrast without burning my nose. Things I found were good but not great: 1) Asparagus side dish - I would have preferred having the asparagus cooked a little bit more so that it was more soft. The sauce I didn't particularly like that much. 2) Parma ham - The quality of the ham is good. I didn't really like the black truffle paste and this could have used some nice balsamic vinegar. Overall I had a good experience at Penthouse and would come back again. The food is really tasty and you can enjoy your meal with a nice view.

Don't forget to cut and serve yourself a slice of cheesecake or marshmallow-topped tiramisu! My salmon entree was amazing. The salmon was indeed very buttery and savory. At first, my visits were strictly to kill time, drink a little something, and get lost in internet space with their speedy WiFi, but I eventually graduated to spending copious amounts of time here while experimenting with their food options, while even holding a few business meetings here. Whenever I was in SSP, this eventually became my home away from home. It was like being in (a narrow room in) the US, but without all the commercialism. The interior is pretty tight; many folks who are working / studying (in addition to dining and sipping) are usually by themselves. It doesn't get too crowded in here even during peak hours, which is why I enjoyed coming here so often. The service is surprisingly great. The owner, Michael is extremely hospitable and the rest of the staff is very welcoming, amiable, and efficient. For expats who are coming here for a little breakfast nostalgia (especially their ever popular "all-day breakfast" for $88HKD), keep your expectations tapered in knowing the food will naturally be served in HK portions and tastes.
