Dr. Ferris was thorough, discussing the benefits of braces for our pre-teen (not only from an esthetic standpoint but for his oral and health benefits as well.) He recommended we wait for molars to come in before getting started. The process has been smooth and we're kept on the loop every step of the way. The office staff is courteous and efficient- we've never had to wait long, if at all, for our appointment and the office has in house payment plans. For starters, Dr. Newman and Dr. Engel are no longer there, and there was no communication about this when I had just begun my ortho treatment. That's something I would have appreciated transparency on, especially since it directly impacts my care. Secondly the new orthodontist has been disappointing. He doesn't introduce himself, barely interacts, and often just walks in and out without much explanation. It honestly makes me question the purpose of coming in when I could just manage my trays at home and track my own progress at this point. I've also seen that others have had similar concerns. From what I've found, he also has negative reviews elsewhere outside of this practice as well, so this experience feels inconsistent and concerning. I really wish there was more transparency and a higher standard of patient care. At the end of the day, I don't understand keeping a provider who doesn't seem to prioritize patient experience.

It was secured by a cemented metal wire and a fence of small chain links. The exposed jagged edge of a metal support post actually made my finger bleed when I touched it! Ugh! Eating was nauseating painful and uncomfortable. My teeth crunched the chain. I tugged away at it to eliminate the problem myself. It made the situation worse - more jagged more tortuous. I called the office with a request to see someone as soon as possible. Shanna arranged that! Dr. Voorhees and Mai worked their magic! I've rarely seen such a happy professional team! Our daughter had her pallet expanded and braces. My wife always took her to the appointments, so I didn't experience the office or Dr. Kunik then. The bill isn't cheap. The work is excellent. My daughter's teeth looked great and corrected what generations before her have struggled with. Then it was my turn. I finally listened to my dentist to go get Invisalign. Dr. Kunik is friendly and genteel. He's not just an orthodontist, he's an artist. You can see him envisioning your teeth moving and what has to be done to coax them into place. Then he recites an alpha numeric soup of instructions for the nurse to jot down and he's on his way. The staff is super sweet. I don't worry about who I'm sitting down with because they're all very capable. It's a mellow atmosphere and appears everyone is happy working there. I've never been frustrated by the office. On the contrary, I'm the one that's showed up late because I got the time wrong (twice) and they didn't skip a beat.

Ferris dismissed the concerns and told me that my dentist was wrong. I've gotten two separate dentists opinions on it, and they both told me the same thing. Ferris Orthodontist continues to tell me that "the two other dentists were wrong and they have done it perfectly" (exact quote). They did not end up offering a solution and I felt like my thoughts and concerns were irrelevant to them. I felt disrespected and disregarded. Definitely not pleased with the service I payed for!
