Dr. Peterson and ALL the staff are absolutely amazing. You feel like family as soon as you walk in. I have had a history of bad experiences with dentists.. and Dr. Peterson is the opposite, so gentle and he explains everything step by step as he works. His staff does the same. The quality of care is above all else. The office is equipped and high tech and let me say.. my first experience watching tv on the ceiling . By far one of the best dentists in town!!! I'm very picky when it comes to picking the dentist for any of my dental needs. I found Dr. Peterson from Yelp reviews when I moved to AZ from IL about 4 years ago. Since then I don't go see any dentists except Dr. Peterson. I will drive 2 hrs from Prescott to Mesa just to clean my teeth. He's kind, polite, trustworthy, friendly and caring. Hard to find a dentist like that now a day. Dr Peterson has been my dentist for years. His office staff is amazing! They known me by name. Amy, the hygienist is so personable and remembers details about my family that are incredible! I consider her a friend. Dr Peterson has vastly improved my dental health, recommends procedures as needed, and is respectful not to "over-recommend". I know what you're thinking...."it's a dentist's office. How good can they really be?" But you don't understand if you haven't been here. For those unwilling to read: him and his staff are incredible! I have never received the service that I've gotten here anywhere else! I always recommend him to anyone that will listen! I'll go through a list of things that impressed me from my first visit and on: ( just know that I did know Dr. Peterson himself from him coming in to my job) The initial impression of office and staff: when I called to make an appointment Lisa was very sweet and worked with my schedule to make sure that we got a visit in soon. During my first visit the office itself was being renovated and despite the less-than-ideal-ideal noise, the office is polite, the office is kept clean and have a very nice bathroom for clients to use. Magazines, a fish tank and even water if needed. Now the appointment itself: Dr Peterson took the time to introduce me to his staff then explained what the first appointment would look like. He made sure I was comfortable, x-rays were taken, gums measured etc. . Once that all was done he invited me to his office to go over X-rays and explains how he reads the x rays and how he would like to schedule appointments to take care of each cavity/issue. After asking for my input I was explained the price for each visit and how much would be covered by insurance. This being my first appointments (post college) he walked me through everything and made sure that I knew the cost and what the insurance is willing to cover. If anyone is searching for a dentist I would highly recommend them! We just moved to the Mesa area and stumbled upon them. They are efficient with their time, explain everything they are doing and take time to stop and listen to any questions or concerns you have. They were incredibly personable from the first person to greet you to practically running in between X-rays so you don't have to keep those guards in your mouth and all the way to Dr Peterson who reviews your file with you and asks you questions to understand exactly what is needed. On the first visit, they took photos and xrays, and when I came back for the cleaning, he showed me the photos from the first time and explained everything that he recommended be done. I've been meaning to write a review of how much I love Dr. Peterson and his staff, but like most people, I tend to procrastinate. My husband however just walked into my office to tell me he'd missed a call, and it was a voice mail from Dr. Peterson personally calling to wish him a happy birthday - now that is customer service!!! We were referred to him for an implant my husband needed done, and found everyone to be very friendly and professional. We have returned to see him as our primary dentist and love everything about the experience (well, okay, as much as anyone can possibly love going to the dentist!). Routine cleanings are painless, and every bit of what is being done is explained in detail so there are no surprises or uncomfortable moments. The office and exam/treatment rooms are welcoming, the staff is super friendly and very competent, and we plan to be returning patients for many years! read more

When looking for a new dentist, I looked at the Yelp ratings and read the reviews. All comments were very positive so decided to try Dr Peterson. He looked at my tooth; and because of the severity of the busted tooth, he recommended a crown. The procedure was done yesterday and for someone who dislikes any type of dental work, Dr Peterson was extremely gentle and sympathetic to my reactions to the procedure. His assistant spent several minutes reshaping the temporary crown to my satisfaction. It feels like my original tooth. Hopefully, when I receive my permanent crown, the same patience and perfection will exist. read more

Dr Peterson is a great dentist with perfect bedside manner. He will go as far as calling you himself after the procedure to make sure that everything went well. Dr Peterson and his staff are some of the most professional and courteous people in the industry. Many people "cringe" at the thought of going to see the dentist, but not me. I take pride in a great smile and am glad they do too. Despite some troubles I've had with my teeth (misfortune of needing an implant done) they were there to help me smile along the way. Dr Peterson has been my dentist for 4 years and I have had quite a bit of work done in that time. There has never been an appointment where I've had to wait even one minute past my scheduled time. He is very thorough and meticulous in every aspect of my dental care. I had a dental emergency one weekend and he was the person to answer the emergency number and took care of me that day. Dr. Peterson was referred to me by a good friend. What a great recommendation! I have had nothing but excellent care from having to come in for an abscessed tooth to basic check up. My family loves coming here as well. The office staff is excellent and friendly and go out of their way to make each visit a great one. Also, Dr. Peterson always calls to check up on you in the evening after any procedure he's done that he's had to numb teeth. I drive 25min to go here and would drive farther if I had to! Dr. Peterson is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. He and his staff have always been fabulous to me. They are very kind and personable and they always remember specifics about myself and my family which shows how they really care for their patients. I moved out of the state a few years ago and I have not been able to find anyone nearly as good. I started seeing Dr. Peterson when I was a senior in high school. Growing up I always had gums that seemed to be much bigger than my teeth, I frequently got teased growing up and it made me self conscious about my smile. Half way through my senior year Dr. Peterson did a procedure that lasered off part of my gums. Now my gums look "normal" and I get complements on my smile daily. I had a 6 year old crown come loose on a Sunday afternoon before I had to travel the next day for a week out of state. Dr. Peterson gave up his family time and opened his office to provide an emergency fix to the crown. It's like new. I love his office; it has the feel of a resort or spa. The dentist is honest, friendly, and most importantly, does good work. My daughter had a front tooth filled and I can't even see that any work has been done on it. They let her watch a movie while she was in the dentist chair. The doctor was especially careful not to mention the word "shot" in front of her so that she wouldn't be scared. To sum it up, my kids all want to go back to this dentist. read more
