I'm a first-time home-buyer, so I wasn't sure what constitutes a good inspection. After speaking…read morewith folks afterward, I'm fairly confident this was not one of those. As mentioned by another reviewer, he had a handy test-for-water-damage tool he carried around. I was really confused when he stopped using it halfway through the inspection. He didn't even pull it out in the back bathroom. I asked him about it a few times, but he seemed so confident in his dismissals that I let it go. The big one, though - The extent of his electrical inspection was to look at the labels in the fuse box. He told me he was happy with how the rooms were divided up in there. About a week after moving in, I plugged something into an outlet in the kitchen, and heard a fizzling sound in the wall. The outlet topped working as did another outlet where the microwave is plugged in. Flipping the fuse box doesn't remedy the issue, so I'm going to have to call (and pay for) an electrician. I asked two other recent home-buyers in my office, and both told me their inspectors had investigated all of their outlets. The same for me would have saved me a ton. As I was letting Dov out, I regretted having my real estate agent source him for me. It's in Dov's best interest to help my agent, and not me. If Dov helps my agent make a sale, my agent will keep giving Dov business. Thus, if Dov nudges me toward buying with a lighter inspection, he's helping to put more money in my agent's pocket, while also taking a steep $600 out of mine. I'm not positive this is their explicit arrangement, but it's the feeling I got as I paid Dov for what gnawed at me as a not-at-all thorough inspection. First time home buyers beware.

Recently, my daughter was buying a house and needed a quick house inspection. I called Rob right away. Despite his tight schedule, he managed to come down the next day. Rob is a very professional, straightforward guy. During the inspection, he answered and explained every question I asked. At the end of the inspection, he asked me if I had any more questions. My answer was no because he had answered all my questions. The next day, I got a very thorough, detailed report with photos by email. Rob also texted me to make sure I got the report. I highly recommend Rob to anyone who needs a home inspection.

The girl "Amanda" just talks and talks over you so it's no wonder she heard nothing. instead of fixing it or refunding us or just writing the report we needed and leaving the child saying house was not flush but on foundation not slipping they decided to play games and make me pay for absolutely nothing I asked for or needed. I knew when I got another engineer out there it was going to turn out he was lying. I was right. he used a level type of thing but never went under the house at all and so he's lazy and a liar. literally these people ruin lives stay away from them. I think they work FOR the town not for the people living in it.

When push comes to shove, no one is able to give you details on your future home the way that a Home Inspector can. We called All Aspects and made arrangements to have Kevin Walsh meet us at the house the very next day! My husband and I arrived early to check out the neighborhood, and to our delight Kevin arrived early as well! He took the time with us, before our scheduled appointment with the sellers, to talk about what he would be looking for and he answered any preliminary questions we had. As Kevin walked around the house he took a lot of photos and was very patient explaining to us what he was looking at, and where he had concerns. When he found termite damage, he was even able to recommend a termite company for us to follow up with! Everything that he found was outlined in a detailed report (with color photos!) that we received via email the next day. A hard copy was also sent to our home shortly after. The report was thorough and very easy to understand. Kevin even highlighted the recommendations that he made. We have our final walk through in just a few short weeks. The company did such an excellent job. They gave me an ongoing verbal report during the process, and followed up with an extremely detailed written report supported by multiple photographs with arrows pointing to problem areas. The work was impeccable. Yet, when I came to Yelp to write a review, I can only say I was horrified that Yelp is saw it fitting to publish a single star, extremely negative review of the company's services. I followed the arrow to see three reviews that gave the company five stars, and wrote about their reasons in detail. I literally do not understand why the excellent reviews were discounted while the single negative review was highlighted. My experience with using Yelp has been that when there is only a single negative review, I make the assumption that it was one disgruntled customer, possibly one who could not ever be satisfied. My experience was similar to the "discounted reviews." Obviously I hold the company in quite high regard since I hired them twice. Furthermore, and almost as important, is the fact that Mr. Walsh, the owner, has recommended a number of people in the building trade and real estate industry who have been life-savers. I personally could not have found these people and it is because Mr. Walsh recommended them that I knew I would get excellent service and a good price from them as well. I did. I am concerned that because it will be so incredibly positive, and because I am a relative newbie to writing reviews, that will once again this review of the company will be discounted. I want Yelp to realize that this is a review by a live person, with live experience, and I think that their automated discounting software needs a rewrite. Indeed, it is All Aspects report that helped me prepare the condo for sale in an efficient, economical manner that I believe helped it to sell within 20 minutes of our first open house. I am looking forward to working with your recommended providers to prepare the Long Island property as well.
