I found Dr. Anjum , Pulmonologist using the Zoc Doc app. Let's just talk about ZocDoc for a second:…read morethis app helps you find a doctors filtering through doctors that take your insurance / other specs. Dr. Anjum schedules appointments the old fashioned way and with the app, which is soooo cool. You can even fill out all the paper work with your phone. I was able to make an appointment and come the same day. This is the 1st time I've ever had pre visitation part of a doctor appointment go so smooth. This building is stand alone, so it has the most simple and easy parking scenario. No need to valet or park in a garage, it's very convenient. The staff was very friendly, I had no wait time. Prompt appointment. Dr. Anjum is wonderful! He was just as concerned about me as I was, he kept asking questions to figure out my problem... which is a little complicated, so I was very grateful to his attention. I have a follow up next week and I'm hopeful we will get to the bottom of my issues. I really trust his practice.

To begin with, the reception staff is impolite and worse, does not do their job. I waited almost an…read morehour in the waiting room & she did not give the doctor my referral. There was only one other patient waiting the entire time I was there. The worst part was the Doctor did not opt for any further tests even after I told him that I had lung issues for a month. He attributed my lung issue to a muscle skeletal problem and prescribed a narcotic medication which I did not fill. I left there feeling outraged having spent 45 mins getting there and waiting one hour without any real need to. I found this guy through my insurance. I do NOT recommend him.

Dr. Juan Carlos Rodriguez barely qualifies as a doctor. All he cares about is collecting Medicare…read moreand Medicaid Payments. He's consistently an hour late to appointments and spends two minutes on the actual patient assessment. Once, he called us at 1:10pm for a 12:00pm Telehealth Appointment. And he's extremely impatient when we ask questions. He doesn't want questions. He just wants us to keep making follow-up appointments every 6 months. My mother has been seeing him for over 4 years. She doesn't speak English so I accompany every visit as her translator. On June 12, 2025, we visited his clinic, Florida Lung & Sleep Apnea Center in Pembroke Pines for a routine breathing test and follow-up to review the results of my mom's CT scan. We were prepared for his tardiness and impatient responses but we were not prepared for what happened next at that visit. As expected, he looked at her Radiology Report quickly and said everything was fine and wants us to come back in 6 months. But my mother's primary doctor noticed a grave error on the Radiology Report. The report compared my mother's January 2025 CT Scan results to her results in 2020. It completely missed the fact that she's had CT scans twice a year for the least 4 years. When we asked Dr. Juan Carlos Rodriguez why did he compare her recent 2025 CT scans to one that was completed in 2020, he kept trying to tell us that it didn't matter. And then he blamed the imaging center. But we pressed on because he's the pulmonologist. If he isn't analyzing the correct comparisons, how can his diagnosis be accurate? We were not angry. And we never raised our voice. I'm there to advocate for my mother. She had questions and I'm there to translate. But Dr. Juan Gonzalez became visibly upset. He threw the reports we handed him in the air and threw my 74 year-old mother and I out of his office and said he will not explain himself to us. He threw us out of his office after taking Payment via Medicare. I informed him this is basically malpractice and Medicare fraud, and we will be reporting this to CMS, the DOH, and Memorial Health System. Most of his patient population seems to be elderly and on Medicare. He is preying on the elderly and the weak. This isn't right. There needs to be consequences for the way he treats his patients. Reading and executing on inaccurate reports may be an error. But not taking responsibility for his mistakes that may gravely affect his patient's health is unacceptable.
