Unparalleled dermatologist, certainly the best in South Florida, and taking extremely safe COVID precautions. I've seen over 15 dermatologists but have been consistently seeing Dr Katz for the past 5 years because he's simply the best one. His office is going above and beyond safe COVID precautions by operating at only limited capacity, N95 masks for staff, etc. Dr. Katz came highly recommended by a friend who had a cancer growth on his foot, and which had been overlooked by two other dermatologists. Can you imagine my shock when I called them to make an appointment because I had a problem and was told because I had not been in the office due to Covid that I am no longer a patient there and would be considered a new patient and Dr. Katz is not taking any new patients are you for real? This is my doctor you treated me for skin cancer I don't leave the house much since Covid and hadn't had any reason to come and see you and now I'm not a patient anymore. Recommend you I would tell people to steer clear. And they're making put me put a star, but if I could take away all the stars I would. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Katz and his pa Cindy now for the past year and every experience has been a good one. He is very knowledgeable and takes his time with his patients. He and his pa are very thorough. Both my husband and mother-in-law see him regularly for their needs. They are both satisfied with the practice. Depending on your condition, your scheduled appointment varies. I.E. the staff will triage you and try and schedule you according to the severity of the problem. I've been seen the next day based on the level of acuity and I've also had to wait two weeks to see him. Wait times on the day of your appointment could be shorter but it's not unbearable. I. E. You won't be waiting an hour and a half past your scheduled appointment time. The office does offer free WiFi and there are tv's in every patient room showing hgtv. The office is located on the beautiful beach. The patient rooms are neat and tidy. I've had corticosteroid injections in a keloid scar that his team are helping to decrease. Their touch is very gentle and professional. The only parking available is in a parking garage right next door connected to the building and it can be a little confusing to navigate as the parking garage flights are staggered in comparison to the building. The products he offers are great and usually discounted if you work in the medical field. Overall, a great dermatologist and team. Would certainly recommend. read more

I've been exposed to many offices as a Pharmaceutical Drug Rep for over a quarter of a century AND I can tell you as a rep AND more importantly AS A PATIENT, this office is as good as it gets all around, from quality of care, to scheduling of appointments, running on time, flexibility in billing, early morning hours available (before 9am), professionalism, CUSTOMER/PATIENT FOCUS and not treating you 'like a NUMBER'. I've had 3 recent visits for some dermatological issues and have been thoroughly impressed consistently. The office is run like a well oiled machine--never mind the haters negative reviews. You may find physicians offices that are run as well, but I would challenge you to find much better. Keep up the great efforts--they're definitely appreciated! Dr. Katz literally saved my skin and made me look better after saving it. Spending lot's of time outdoors on the sides of Hi-Rise buildings is really hard on your skin. My skin was getting dry and flaky and I thought I might be getting skin cancer. I booked an appointment with a doctor allowed by my insurance company and was lucky enough to pick Dr. Brian Katz a Board Certified Dermatologist in Miami Beach at Mt. Sinai. Immediately upon speaking to the staff who called me after I made an appointment on line at his website (Pretty easy really) I knew I had made a good decision. I was called by his office manager Vanessa who was so very nice and made the appointment at a time that was good for ME. Once I saw the modern office with more lasers than I could count on 2 hands, I felt pretty secure. Once Dr. Katz walked in and introduced himself, I felt like he was a friend. Turns out I had precancerous AK which is an early sign that can turn into skin cancer if not treated. The treatment was this IPL Intense Pulsed Light Photo Therapy done with a chemical they put on your skin and then you sit under a special light. I went to 2 sessions and not only did they get rid of all the flaky AK skin, but my face looked a decade younger according to my wife. The whole time Dr. Katz took his time and answered all my questions. Dr. Katz looks pretty young but I found out he is actually a teaching doctor at University of Miami and really knows his stuff. Now my wife goes to him for laser facial treatments and I must say she looks years younger too. (The lasers zapped all her sun spots) I used to think all that cosmetic dermatology stuff was a bunch of bunk, but now I am a believer because I saw it for myself. I've been visiting Dr. Katz for a little over a year to treat my acne and my face has cleared up tremendously. I grew up with acne since the age of 12, I am 22 now and it took 10 years to find the right treatment thanks to Dr. Katz and his team. They're prime and prompt; from the reception to billing Ive never had any issues with any of his assistants. They have assisted me over the phone plenty of times without any issues. Walking into his office has given me more confidence and has to be the best decision I've made in my life. If you're struggling with acne and have tried a ridiculous amount of products then don't hesitate to pass by his office and have Dr.Katz work his magic. You won't regret it!! read more

I typically use another doctor for my Botox but had heard about Dr. Katz from some mothers at my sons school and thought I'd give him a try. I've had Botox many times over and this was my only bad experience ever and quite scary to be honest. I knew something went wrong while he was injecting me because he quickly motioned to his PA to get an ice pack and whispered some other things I couldn't understand. When I asked if everything was ok he said everything was fine and to just apply the ice pack for a bit. I thought at worst maybe he hit something and caused me to bruise. When I got up and checked myself out in a mirror everything appeared ok....for the moment. I went to pay and was charged and extra $100 more than what he told me I'd be charged and when I went to argue the extra $100 he was no where to be found. I thought that was the worst...Botox tends to work fairly quickly for me and by the next day (and for 3 months after that) my right eyebrow was drooping so low it was scary. Lesson learned...don't try someone else if what you have works and don't ever use Dr. Katz for anything again. I would not recommend him if you're looking for Botox. read more

Had a photodyn lght treatment to clear my skin for spots and cancerous cells and the results were very poor. Hardly removed any spots. Spent a lot of money and even charged me for the follow up visit on the treatment. An assistant performed the treatment but he charged as if it had been him doing the procedure. He never saw me on that day or subsequent visit. Will not go back. Very poor medical practice. Do not recommend this doctor or his office. read more

Appt at 8a Wed., @ 4p antibiotic still not called into pharmacy. Called office. "We call in RXs at end of day, you should have asked for paper." now at 10pm, Walgreens, says" Sorry your Rx is probably still on our message machine". next day is Thanksgiving Walgreens is closed. Friday, "There is a delay because your RX was called into another pharmacy, not your own." No antibiotics for 2 1/2 days! read more
