I have been going to Baumann cosmetic for a few years now and they never disappoint. I was recommended by a friend because Dr.Baumann helped her get her rosacea under control and she was able to do the same for me. For year I've tried many different dermatologist and treatment and nothing has been as successful as Dr.Baumann. I also went for anti-aging recommendations. I asked about a ton of expensive procedures I've heard about but she explained why they weren't good or why they weren't right for me. Shhhhh if you tell anyone that I actually have body hair I'll have to pinch ya! I found this place while searching for one of their dermatologists that specialize in skin of hue. Online ordering was a breeZe and a quick follow up email with further details prior to my appt. no excess papers, no bunches of paperwork to complete. The building was a bit hard to find, WAZE did nothing for me except take me to the back entrance so remember it's on Biscayne in the white mirrored building. Parking was easy enough and within close proximity to the offices. On entering the beautiful, flawlessly skinned staff greet you, the walk to the treatment rooms felt weirdly like a walk through a spaceship or a sci-fi movie lol. Consultation was thorough and prices were decent. Not cheap but decent. I was numbed and then the laser tx started after a test area. My chin felt like it has been to the dentist so the numbing cream works. Pain scale was a 0-1. Wouldn't even call it pain or discomfort actually just a weird buzzed pinch. Paula and Johnathon were very personable and professional. I will be back for reasons that maybe obvious to some. Try them! I had a wonderful experience with dr. Leslie Bauman. I had lots of brown sun spots that were on my face since I had my first child. 4 kids later the spots got worse and I had malasma spots everywhere and couldn't fully cover them up with makeup. The worst experience ever. I went in for a $100 consultation. Before the consultation start, the staff asks me if I want the doctor look at my face skin as well, I said sure. When the doctor came in, she barely looked at my actual area, never looked at my skin, and told me the treatments required and I should have retinol At the end, the staff did nothing. She told me the pricing, and tell me to pay the $100 consultation at front desk. I do not mind paying for the $100 consultation, but what consultation? The doctor never gave me advice I was promised for, and looked at my for 5min. That's consultation? This place is very unprofessional and unworthy of its reputation and price. read more

They opened this week and my visit today was great! A serious protocol is in place, to ensure everyone's safety. It was my first time meeting Jonathan and he was so nice and professional!! Paula is amazing as always!!! I have to admit, it is tough not to hug her! We kept our social distancing and I truly did feel safe in their office. The front door is locked, so they only allow a certain number of people in. Maybe only one at a time because so did not see anyone else. Checkout was quick and at the end they spray hand sanitizer since I had to mark the tablet with my pin. read more

SHAME. Shame. Shame is my first thought for Dr. Baumann. She may be famous for cosmetic dermatology, but as a medical doctor, she must have forgotten her medical school training. She saw my mother recently who went to see her multiple times in fall 2021, lastly in December 2021 for red marks on her face which Dr B told her were rosacea. The bottom line is Dr B kept prescribing expensive creams when it has turned out to be cancer - squamous cell carcinoma. Dr B never even recommended my mom have them checked out. When my mother - on her own - asked if she should have a biopsy, Dr. B's practice told her they do NOT even do biopsies. Sad the patient had to ask this. How Dr B can practice dermatology in South Florida with people with so much sun damage and not recognize skin markings that look suspicious is shocking and very, very bad medicine. Shame. read more

(Having had squamous cancers removed via MOHS surgery in the past, I'm eager to catch them in their initial stages of formation!) I can't imagine going anywhere other than Dr. Baumann's office for dermatology care. She literally wrote the book on Cosmetic Dermatology (seriously, she's written at least two textbooks.) In addition to being a bonafide expert, she has the warmest and sweetest bedside manner. While in her office for treatment, she and her staff are unbelievably attentive. I always feel like I'm in the best possible hands. I've seen a few other physicians in her practice and they are all wonderful. I have been going to Baumann since last September and have seen such improvement in my skin (and received compliments on it too!!). Paula and her team are awesome, they take such good care of you and really go the extra mile and explain all the details of any treatment you are going to have. They also do a skin test so you can see different issues you may have and they recommend an entire treatment plan and you get get the products right there. Miami has no shortage of cosmetic dermatologist... although it seems as if there is a void of doctors who are concerned with the patient looking "their best self" versus generating income for the office. I was hoping to find a dermatologist who would be able to enhance my face using some of the new technologies, fillers, Botox, meds, creams etc. but not at the expense of looking "natural." Too often I see women who have gone to doctors and leave looking like they have duck lips, tomatoes for cheeks, Dr. Spock eyebrows and a mask like expression on their face. I have to imagine that the derma is more concerned with making the bucks as opposed to what is in the best interest of the patient. My experience with Dr. Baumann was just the opposite. She took time to examine my face and even looked at some older photos of me that I had brought. I also showed her photos of what I did not like because I was terrified of looking unnatural, fake or downright strange. I have seen to many beautiful women, including celebrities, ruin their looks by doing too much. Dr. Baumann's goal is to give you natural enhancement. She laid out a three month plan for me which included injectibles, the Venus Legacy and a new morning and evening regimen of creams, Retin A, etc. There is such a dizzying array of new products, treatments, and technologies on the skin care market; she explained to me which ones would be best for my skin type and age. She was also quick to point out that more expensive products/creams are not necessarily better. On one occasion when I was begging for a wee bit more of a filler in a certain area of my face, she flat out told me that I did not need it and to save my money !! I felt that she listened to my goals and most importantly I felt well cared for by an extremely qualified, knowledgable and unbelievably experienced physician. I've been trying to book an appointment for weeks with one of the staff. I was offered a time and asked for my contact details to confirm. Come the day of, surprise! Not confirmed. I'm not even in the system. I had received no email or call saying that time was no longer avail or even offered an alternate. The person I spoke to couldn't accommodate due to double bookings all day (why would you tell someone that) and offered another date. Was really excited to get some Botox and filler with my cousin. We had cash in hand ready for our appointment. The day of, we were told we needed to fill out a 20 minute survey online.... ok fine. Neither of us could get the site to work. We called to explain to the receptionist that the site was not working. Instead of problem solving, she blamed our internet (lol). Further we tried to work with her, but she just seemed not to care. Then after 5 minutes explaining to her the issue over and over, she then told us that you needed to fill it out on a computer or an IPAD. We both explained to her we did not have computer access, and our appointment was in two hours. Also asked if we could come a little early and just fill out paper work, she said no. And with no solution she suggested we just cancel our appointment. RUDE! how do you treat new customers like this. I've had acne for over 15 years and my visit to this office has completely changed my skin. Since I've tried everything (or so I thought) and have gone in and out of dermatologists, I wasn't sure what to expect with my first appointment. I saw the physician assistant Amy and she provided the most customized skin regimen that actually works with my skin type. They did this face map thing that showed how much bacteria was on my face (something I've never had done before) and actually looked at my skin on a type of level my skin has never been looked at before. It's been a few months and since my visit and I've been diligent with my skin routine and I have not have any cystic acne on or around my chin since. I could cry because of how happy I am with how clear my skin is. Dr. Baumann and her friendly staff provided me a very pleasant experience while I visited them over a 7 month period for a lip injection study. Dr. Baumann and her research staff were always so professional and made me feel special and welcome. Knowing I was going to be taken care of and have fun made my 30 mile drive to her office worth it. Now I understand why Dr. Baumann is a world renowned cosmetic dermatologist. Her artistry and and expertise was evident as she injected me a total of 4 times over the 7 month trial. My results were spectacular and I intend to see her again for additional injections. Years of practice is not enough when it comes to this procedure. Her strategic placement of the gel was spot on as it enhanced my lips without making them look fake. I always thought injected lips were obvious, but mine appear as if I was born this way. The newly renovated office has a super modern feel with ultra high ceilings and a bright, clean appearance. It's clear a lot of attention to detail was made, down to the gorgeous square Kohler sinks and large flat screen TVs in each patient room. The office, right off Biscayne Boulevard, has plenty of parking, all of which is close to the entrance. I never had trouble finding a spot, regardless of what time of day I arrived. The main waiting room is big and comfortable with plenty of magazines and a basket of free skin care items to go through. There was always new and exciting free products to try. The receptionist greeted and signed me in as soon as I arrived so I was never left wondering if they knew I was there. The staff is a stable group, many of which have been at the office for years, so I got to see the same faces and got to know every one of girls. To name a few, Mikaela and Susan were awesome! Her office was also very accommodating whenever I showed up late to my appointments, which was often since I frequently encountered traffic during my long commute. One time, I was over an hour late and both doctors I was seeing that day stayed late in order for me to avoid rescheduling. They never made me feel badly for my tardiness. I would highly recommend Dr. Baumann's office for any procedure you need. Her friendly staff will welcome you into their beautiful space.
