As committee chairman, I worked directly with Joshua, who was very responsive to our needs, and proactive in staying in contact as we negotiated.  The food he offered looked exquisite and varied, and his services generous. I was pretty much sold. Our committee did find one other caterer who, surprisingly, was able to beat Joshua Charles' very low price points.  No one else came close, all but the one being almost double their price. Although we did decide on another, I would highly recommend others give Joshua Charles Catering a very close look.  I would certainly do so again.

The food was insanely delicious (menu below). They completely exceeded our expectations - it's hard to believe anything cooked for so many people can be so tasty, but they pulled it off. We received so many compliments from guests on the food. Chef Dov really brought our vision to life, and made adjustments to the menu in response to our feedback. Tapenga and Adrian, our main staff contacts, were extremely responsive, communicative, and organized across the full planning process. And importantly, they helped us work within our budget and identify strategies to cut costs. Adrian was our day-of coordinator, and she checked in with us regularly, ensured we were fed (so important!), managed the event's flow and timeline, and helped us troubleshoot a few issues that came up day-of. The catering and bartending staff did a fantastic job with the setup, service, and break-down, and the event ran flawlessly from beginning to end. We felt extremely well taken care of and so deeply appreciated not having to worry about managing logistics on the day of. Overall, California Rose was truly exceptional.
