I had a January 2022 appointment with Cornerstone as a new patient, but I had never met them nor did they know me. In panic and hopeful desperation , I called for an appointment on Dec 22 and was seen on December 23. Figuring on the worse but hoping for a temporary relief, I was amazed to have the dentist tell me that it was only a deterioration of glue and he could fix me right there and then!!! And he did. My Christmas roast beef was enjoyed by all, including me! The staff, the attention to stress, and the relief of it were all everything one could hope for in a dental practice. This is a very sleazy business and I would recommend anyone considering getting treatment there go to a reputable establishment instead.

Thank goodness because I get major anxiety from hearing any dental work being done. Dr. Serlo did a great job! I remember counting backwards and then waking up just as fast. I was given a bunch of gauze and a velcro gel ice pack that wrapped around either side of my head so it was hands free. Even though Dr. Serlo was attending a funeral that weekend, he still called to check up on me and left his personal cell number in case I had any concerns. While my recovery wasn't super quick, and I did end up with an infection which I had to take antibiotics for, I am just thankful I didn't lose any feeling in any part of my mouth considering how close one tooth was to a major nerve. I will admit that I'm a bit of a hypochondriac and came to the office in a panic thinking that my chin was still numb after the anesthesia wore off. But Dr. Serlo checked me out and assured me that I still had full feeling. (He did the pin prick test.) I only had to take Ibuprofen 3's during recovery and was able to manage my pain just as well without the additional prescription painkillers. I never even bothered to get it filled. I was going on vacation shortly after and Dr. Serlo made sure that if I ran into any problems, he would be able to get me in touch with a doctor in the area and let them know of my situation. I had zero issues with billing which is always a plus! NOTE: While my consultations and follow up appointments were done in the Chapel Hill office, my actual surgery was in the Durham office. Both were nice. I took off one star because I wasn't given a syringe to flush the area until I came in a few days after due to an infection. Not sure if that would've made a difference but I thought I would mention it just in case.

My family member was infected with osteomyelitis due to his surgery and and surgical decisions. Dr. Botch Co used a cadaver tendon which increases likelihood for infection, and the tendon dehissed(popped through the sutures)after surgery. My family member had to be reoperated on again by Dr. Botch Co for his original poor work(possibly due to improper suturing technique). The second surgery took 4 hours(way too long) to perform further increasing likelihood for infection despite Dr. Botch co having all of the information needed(imaging etc.). My family member has since had to endure a: 103.9 degree fever, PICC line placement, vancomycin admin through PICC for 3 months, medication induced lupus, lower leg neuropathy, hammer toe and toe amputation since the negligent actions of this doctor. My family member is not overweight and does not smoke or drink and this idiot steered him spiraling into a list of medical problems. He inflicted permanent decreased quality of life(6 years now) due to his ineptitude and slow surgical skills. Avoid him if you value your life and its quality! I don't know how I'd live with myself if I were him.

Dr. Glover and his staff are an outstanding group of people! I have always had a slight anxiety about going to the dentist which stems from a childhood dentist who was more of a 'naturalist'. Dr. Glover keeps me informed and the pain to an absolute minimum. I do not feel pressured to purchase unnecessary procedures. A great part about the office is that Dr. Glover is a dental surgeon as well so you can get everything done there cheaper and quicker than having to be referred to a specialist. read more

I was also told I'd need to come back in six weeks for the routine cleaning, which would be covered by my insurance. The dentists themselves are professional and nice as well, although if you only see them for a few minutes unless you have bigger dental issues. They usually have bottled water in the lobby but their little fridge looked empty on my last visit. Note: finding the new location can be tricky since it is off the road a little bit at an office building, not directly on the road.
