They will repeatedly schedule you appointments, and when you arrive tell you that you are there on the wrong day. Amber, who is the office manager is the worst, who feels a free fluoride treatment ($30) makes up for the multiple times they have cost you to miss work, but when you have an emergency they want to charge you $50. The horrible part is they even send an email saying confirm your appointment, and guess what it was never confirmed, yet they still want to charge. On top of all this they will schedule for services that your insurance doesn't cover and then say oh we will give you a 10% discount. Insurance companies need to investigate this business, there is definitely some sneaky business going on. Customers be aware!!

Needless to say I was excited to go. After 2 years of baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide. I was very much looking forward to having them cleaned. They are a very nice, clean, family practice. Everyone is sweet, they treat all patients with the same sweet kindness, which I find so refreshing in today's world. The office and patients are a diverse, group, and everyone always seems so upbeat. The vibe is also no rush. It's not overly booked, they spread appointments out properly, or they are just so laid back, they act like nothing bothers them. I have a whole series of appointments scheduled, and today I accidentally missed one. No scolding, no rescheduling, no extra charges. Just a pleasant understanding, and they let me come right in, 30 minutes late and took me right back. I was shocked. I was expecting at least a lecture haha. If you know, you know. Not that I recommend being late or no showing. But it seemed they really understood my disabilities, and work really well with me. I feel very respected and relevant. I have cognitive decline and forgetting is a harsh reality of mine. The place is spotless, they are always doing something, no one is sitting around, but no one is overly rushed or overwhelmed. My Dentist was just as sweet, patient, and understanding. Very knowledgeable and I trust them completely. Parking is super easy, and plenty of it. So far, I have had a deep scale cleaning, a crown fixed, and going back next week for a filling. Then we will start working on my gum disease. They offer a lot of services. They are also great with my toddlers, they take the time to make it easy on them which is soooo appreciated. My kids enjoy their visit enough to ask when they'll be going back lol - great service - timely (I'm always seen on time) - scheduling is a breeze - text reminders to book and to confirm upcoming appointments is super helpful.

My wife and I were leaving on a weeks vacation Sunday morning. I called Dr. Coles at 7pm Saturday night, and he got me in on Sunday morning at 9am to do a temporary fix so we could leave on vac straight from his office. He made a permanent repair after we got back. And just this past December, I broke half of my two top front teeth off while on a Christmas trip to SC. Dr. Coles took my call that day (day after Christmas)had me text him a photo of the damage, and got me in the day after New Years when I got back. He was able to repair the two teeth, building them up and carving them out so they look perfect. No way anyone can tell the difference. I hope I don't make a habit out of calling him with vacation mishaps, but it's great to know he's there if I need him!

Unfortunately, I have not been impressed by her ability to explain treatment plans. After a cleaning, she came in and rattled off a number of teeth that had issues and started to leave the room. I asked for the specific teeth and she said she would send it to me. I received a list of the teeth and a cost of $8,990. There was no letter and no explanation of options. I am also not impressed with her actual dental ability. She crowned a tooth that lasted eight months and when it broke off with part of the tooth attached, she simply indicated that I could get by without it. The dental assistant seemed shocked and the area went on to develop a deep infection. I also paid for this visit! Her advice on not pulling teeth or doing implants if a patient has at any point taken bone-rebuilding medication. This is not current research. So, take care with Bayview Smiles - they have changed.
