He put me through traumatic experiences growing up - was so rough, yelled at me for crying, never explained what he was doing, and truly had no compassion for a child experiencing extreme pain. As I got older, he started to make comments that made me uncomfortable and touched me (rubbed my shoulders) in a way that was very inappropriate. I finally switched dentists (my parents made me go to him growing up) and I still have anxiety going to dentist appointments but my new orthodontist has been wonderful and helps me work through this trauma. DO NOT bring your children to this man.

We have worked with her for years to gain her trust and lessen those fears. This was only her 3rd time there I believe. We switched her to this practice because of those fears. We thought a pediatric dentist would be the best fit over a family dentist since it's all kids, all day. My daughter was very nervous on the drive to the appointment because she had a loose baby tooth that needed to come out but it was being stubborn. I explained to her that if something needed to be done with it, we would talk to Dr. Winslow about it, but ultimately we would listen to his advice about it because he is the doctor. She was going for a cleaning which went well, the hygienist was very sweet and gentle with her. When her cleaning was finished, Dr. Winslow walked over to have a look at her teeth. I was in the waiting room with her little brother and could only see her legs from where I was. Dr. Winslow looked at her for less than a minute, didn't speak a word to her, and then I heard her screaming. I jumped up and went to check on her to see her mouth full of blood, her face all red, she was shaking and crying. She got a little loud with her crying and was trying to pull his hand away from her mouth while he was putting cotton in, so he decided to raise his voice at her and told her "NO! NOW STOP IT! STOP! NO!". He didn't tell her what he was doing, she thought he was going to hurt her again. But he thought yelling at my child was the way to handle it rather than just saying to her that he was going to put cotton on to help. He obviously doesn't think children have the right to bodily autonomy and that she didn't need to be warned or understand what he was doing or why. I know the tooth needed to come out, that's not the issue. But he did not discuss it with my daughter, nor did he discuss it with me, her parent. He just did it. And reversed years of me convincing her that the dentist isn't scary.

Needless to say I was excited to go. After 2 years of baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide. I was very much looking forward to having them cleaned. They are a very nice, clean, family practice. Everyone is sweet, they treat all patients with the same sweet kindness, which I find so refreshing in today's world. The office and patients are a diverse, group, and everyone always seems so upbeat. The vibe is also no rush. It's not overly booked, they spread appointments out properly, or they are just so laid back, they act like nothing bothers them. I have a whole series of appointments scheduled, and today I accidentally missed one. No scolding, no rescheduling, no extra charges. Just a pleasant understanding, and they let me come right in, 30 minutes late and took me right back. I was shocked. I was expecting at least a lecture haha. If you know, you know. Not that I recommend being late or no showing. But it seemed they really understood my disabilities, and work really well with me. I feel very respected and relevant. I have cognitive decline and forgetting is a harsh reality of mine. The place is spotless, they are always doing something, no one is sitting around, but no one is overly rushed or overwhelmed. My Dentist was just as sweet, patient, and understanding. Very knowledgeable and I trust them completely. Parking is super easy, and plenty of it. So far, I have had a deep scale cleaning, a crown fixed, and going back next week for a filling. Then we will start working on my gum disease. They offer a lot of services.
