Be aware, I would avoid this dentist at all cost. They are only about money, and commit fraud in order to obtain that. They will repeatedly schedule you appointments, and when you arrive tell you that you are there on the wrong day. Amber, who is the office manager is the worst, who feels a free fluoride treatment ($30) makes up for the multiple times they have cost you to miss work, but when you have an emergency they want to charge you $50. The horrible part is they even send an email saying confirm your appointment, and guess what it was never confirmed, yet they still want to charge. On top of all this they will schedule for services that your insurance doesn't cover and then say oh we will give you a 10% discount. Insurance companies need to investigate this business, there is definitely some sneaky business going on. Customers be aware!! read more

I haven't seen dr. Carangelo for several years. He made a bridge for me several years ago before he opened his own practice. I know i have been to his new practice but i can't remember why. Maybe he pulled a tooth. I had been having a tiny toothache and i had thought it might be one of the teeth under the bridge. Even knowing it might cost thousands to work under the bridge, I bit the bullet and made an appointment with dr. Carangelo because he is such a wonderful dentist. He did xrays and i was thrilled to find out it was a tooth next to the bridge but not part of the bridge. Not wanting to return multiple times for a root canal and crown, I opted to have the tooth pulled. He did it on the spot but it wasn't easy for him. I needed three mandibular blocks and several injections of novocaine around the tooth before the tooth was numb. Dr. Carangelo was very gentle and patient with me. It wasn't an easy pull. I was in the chair for 105 minutes but he never hurt me. He was very patient and gentle. I am sure any other dentist would have murdered me and hidden my body just to be rid of me after the second mandibular block didn't work. I think carangelo means dear angel and he certainly is for putting up with me and my stubborn tooth! I am sure there isn't a better or nicer dentist in the world! I had tooth pain that got worse on a Thursday, and our regular dentist is closed on Fridays. So I called here, and they got me in the next morning, which I originally thought was nice.They got my insurance info, I saw Dr. Carangelo for about a minute, and he gave me an xray, and sent me to a specialist claiming that he couldn't see enough in the xray. For some reason, this specialist was able to see me right away, so I went right there. Despite having just getting my insurance information, this specialist was out of network. I saw the specialist, he did another absurdly expensive xray, gave me a prescription, and told me to follow up with our regular dentist.That following week, I went to our regular dentist, he was able to easily see what was wrong from the original xray, and he said there was no reason in the world I needed to see that specialist! I have now learned our regular dentist has an emergency number on the weekends, so I won't make this mistake again.However, I was charged by Dr. Carangelo for the one minute he saw me, and therefore our insurance would not cover the consults by the specialist and our regular dentist. Added to that, the specialist was out of network, so more expensive, and I got an xray I didn't actually need. This dentist and the specialist must be in cahoots with each other. Going here was a really expensive mistake that didn't even accomplish anything. I would give zero stars if I could! read more

Dr. Carangelo and his entire staff are so amazing! I can't say enough positive things about this office! I have an almost debilitating fear of the dental chair, but Dr. Carangelo has a calm and gentle manner that can put even the most fearful patient at ease. I especially like that as soon as you raise your left hand, he will stop and make sure you're alright.
