His bedside manner was hostile and he barked commands at me and treated me like he had a personal grievance with me at the prep for the crown. His treatment was so bad that I inquired on my way out if he would be placing the crown. Went in for the crown today--he put numbing gel and one second later (there was no time given for the gel to take effect) he violently jammed the needle for numbing into my gums. All this after I sat waiting for 45 minutes. I got up and left without allowing the procedure to continue and it is a good thing I did, since despite him ramming the needle into my guns twice I never got numb. I think his goal was to cause me pain. At the very least, he did not care about the pain at all. I have never had a dentist treat me this way. My theory is that he is a racist (I am a POC). I deeply distrust the work he did last time. I am seeing another dentist to complete the work and get an evaluation of that work he did. I only came here out of an emergency need. My bill, even for the crown I never got, is paid in full. If I discover it was improperly done, Aspen Dental of Webster, await your summons for a lawsuit. 0/10. Do NOT go here.

I asked around to some coworkers and this place was suggested by someone who brought her daughter here. I called an explained I didn't have any ortho coverage from my insurance and that I needed my retainers removed and replaced. They were very kind and let me know that the fee for bother retainers to be removed and replaced was going to be $280.00 which is a great price since ortho work is very expensive. The staff was all very friendly and professional both on the phone and in person. they helped me with every step of what needed to be done. The location was easy to find and I loved the inside décor of the rustic lodge. It makes me wish that I had my braces put on in Rochester so I could come to this place. I didn't have to wait long to have my initial appointment and they took my retainers off and did molds to make the new retainers. It took about a week to get my new retainers which are invisaline retainers and made right at the office. Months later, I am still very impressed and happy with my retainers and that I know of somewhere in town where I can go if I am in a pinch and need ortho work done. I highly suggest this great place!

After seeing him, I made an appointment on February 25th for deep cleaning. The clinic suddenly postponed it twice around the date, I tried to follow it and rescheduled other dates. I again got the call asking to postpone it before the date. On this 3rd time I needed to care for my teeth, so I pleaded with them to keep the appointment date as-is and they accepted it. Finally, upon my arrival on April 1, Joanne, the receptionist called me and said that the appointment was canceled because the hygienist Meghan should leave soon. I live 73 miles away from the clinic and it is a three-hour drive for a round trip. Should I make the next appointment? I needed to talk to the Doctor this time to discuss the matter not only my gum but the appointment. I talked to Dr. Romano expressing my sorry that this is not normal for the medical industry, much postponing and canceling is not appropriate. Soon he left the spot saying, "go to some other places!". He never asked about my gum condition and teeth at all. No wonder why this happened in this place. I was hesitant about getting a root canal done but he took the time to explain why I needed it and with some testing to show me that getting it done was the best way to fix my tooth. I have worked myself in the dental field 6 years and have met many dentists. I find that Dr DeRose is definitely one of the best, knowledgeable, friendly and does painless work. Hard to believe I can use the word painless in the dental field. The staff is also very friendly and the place is immaculate. I left knowing that this is the place to come should I need endo treatment done again.
