The inside is unique as we discovered the outdoor rooftop eating area after several stairways and tight turns. The restaurant area is surprisingly large. We ate in the upstairs outdoor area which was charming. For my order, I tried to order the scone meal but they were out of them so I got the bacon and egg sandwich on a brioche bun as a backup. It came with two hash brown triangles and was fresh and filling and very yummy. My dining companions had the Veg Cockney which is a full vegetarian breakfast and another had the Eggs Scotland (Eggs Benedict with Scottish smoked salmon). I tried a bit of each and enjoyed them. The Clarence Court Leghorn Eggs they use have a brilliant orange-ish yellow to the yolk and I swear they taste better than the ones in the States. Peter is a friendly guy who is enforcing all things COVID-secure in this tiny "house" of his so do the right thing and come prepared. I ordered an oat flat white and it was arguably the best oat flat white that I have had in London. KHP was one of the few coffee shops in the area that I'd not yet visited. It's just a tad too far to walk from my flat but too close for me to want to lug my bike down three flights of stairs to go such a short distance. Nonetheless, I've ticked it off of my list and will return (probably today!). Nearby coffee shops are good. Some are even really good but KHP is excellent. Note: Bike parking can only be found south of St Pauls Road. There are a few "U" stands near Salut! and a few "U" stands at the park across from Salut! (west of Essex Road).
