That mozzarella melted in my mouth and the tomato concoction was so delicious. The bowl was filled with small amounts of multiple incredible flavours and was quite filling. We also had an order of the avocado toast. Thick crunchy delicious pieces of bread with avocado and what I think was tahini. Nice! Also, a great location. We'll have to try their desserts next time. This place is a gem on…read moreBroadway, I had spent an hour eating lunch and trying to unsuccessfully get on WiFi to do some work at the deli across the street, and stumbled across this cute little tea shop. No coffee, they only serve tea drinks, a few tea accessories and plates, and a small assortment of food and baked goods. The matcha tea latte was one of the best I've ever had and it paired really well with the oat milk. They also have almond or soy milk, so plenty of dairy-free options. The matcha latte was not sweetened and it was delicious - they use high quality matcha that you can really taste, unlike other matcha tea places that unnecessarily sweeten the tea to mask the matcha flavor. The size of the tea was also pretty large and it was all really excellent. They have one long communal table and some seats along the window so you can do a little bit of work or reading, and their WiFi was fast. The food is very limited but what they have looks good - they have avocado toast and toast with nut butters; the pastries look tasty too. I'll have to get one of their toasts next time I'm here. They also have energy balls if you're looking for a little snack. Overall, I'd recommend this place if you want a quiet and cozy place to hang out with a friend or a date, or want to get some work done. I'll definitely be back here for the matcha latte or other of their tea lattes.

I haven't been back in over a year, and here is why: *the staff is not friendly. *the coffee is just bad. *the food is often lacking in quality/freshness. *the seating is not comfortable. *the shop stock never changes and overpriced. I love the idea of this place, but it falls down on execution. I don't feel welcome here. It's not a place I'd like to spend much time. I feel like I am inconveniencing the staff when I order. I went daily for many weeks and no one ever even acknowledged it. Like, really? I used to go very regularly because it was so convenient but then found myself seeking a local alternative and found much friendlier and higher quality outposts: Curious Yellow Kafe, Friends of Ours, Fix, Dirty Coffee, Slate...all within a few minutes walk. Why bother with mediocre when you can have someone friendly serve you a nice cup of coffee and lunch? Life is too short. I can't see ever returning here. I gave so many chances, and unfortunately I'm over it. That lasagna though? It's still really, really good I'm sure.

It's quite "milky" but since it's plant based, it doesn't make my stomach suffer from digesting the drink (like I usually have to). As good as they were though, they do not compare to the enrobed chocolates, which are incredible. They have nuts, fruits or coffee beans wrapped in chocolate, and the white chocolate strawberries and cappuccino beans are ridiculously good. Luckily (for me more than them) they had free taster samples which I definitely took advantage of. This place is great for those looking for gourmet, high end food and drink. The price is surprisingly affordable bearing in mind the quality of the products (eg marmalade with gold leaf), and the range of teas is excellent. Thankfully, the friendly staff are on hand to help those novices like me, and helped me choose my Christmas presents which went down really well with the family. Turns out there's free wi-fi and the atmosphere in the store/cafe is also pretty cool. The only downside was that it was rather cold inside, but a cup of hot tea warmed me up sufficiently... I have to find I am quite please with myself to have found this random cafe.
