Not many people know about this place, though they will have walked past it dozens of times since it opened in the summer of 2012.
They might be more familiar with The Merchants Arch downstairs however up the winding staircase is Brewery Lane.
It's an astoundingly beautiful bar with wonderful views of the liffey. When you include an impressive range of craft beer, many from Ireland and you have somewhere worth checking out.
The prices for the beer are temple bar prices of course, so expect to pay €5.50 an upwards for a pint.
Also the last time I was in, the credit card machine was broke, though I imagine that was temporary.
Even on a Friday night it can be quiet and the candlelit tables and views of the river are rather romantic, or as romantic as the liffey can get.
It's well worth a visit and if you are in to beer, make sure to have a chat with the manager. He has had a long and colourful life in the beer industry and has worked for a number of micro breweries in his time. read more
