Dedos de pollo (seasonal menu item)

This spot never lets me down. It's become my old stand by over the years. The interior is a large counter service bar with outdoor season and a big garage style door that opens when the weather is nice. The food is sort of Tex mex and is reasonably priced. Drinks are a bit on the pricey end but they have an extensive tap list which includes a lot of local ciders. The thing I recommend here is actually the sauces, because I haven't ordered anything I haven't liked. The habenero carrot salsa, avocado crema, and tapatio ailoi are all amazing sauces and I would come here just to buy those even if I didn't like the food (which I do) This is a great hang out spot and is also good for solo dinners. It's not upscale so not really a date night venue but it is a good spot if you wanted a quick bite and a drink before heading out for the night, or a great spot to hang out with friends. In over five years of coming here I've never not seen it so full that you can't find a seat.

Amazing fresh Mexican food. Casual dining with various taps and drinks. Very cute decoration. Attentive and kind servers. Very good vibes for date nights and friends eat out. Pricing is great! Loved everything about this place. Will go back regularly!

Brewers Row is one of my favorite eateries in Tacoma! They're convenient located a few blocks away from Proctor on a quiet street. The food is incredible with options for everyone. I love the breakfast burritos and the fact that they're served all day! My go to is the papas dulce & kale burrito with the avocado crème. The sauces are to die for. I also love the tortilla salad bowels and you can't go wrong with the home made churros. Not only is the food great, but they also have an amazing coffee and beer selection. Great ambiance with indoor/outdoor seating and friendly staff. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Recommended by a friend specifically for their breakfast burritos, I finally gave it a try. The place is cute and funky, the staff friendly, and the al pastor burrito was on point. A highlight for me was theirs salsas ( up to three included). Delish!

It was pretty good My hubby and I went for breakfast burritos before shopping at the Proctor farmers market. I was super excited to try the chile verde breakfast burrito, but I honestly think they forgot the verde. It was eggs and chorizo, but the chorizo was SO greasy that I had a pool of grease on my small plate that spilled over onto the table. The flavor was okay. I used all of our napkins for the grease. I really wanted the chile verde and next time will see if I can get eggs with the Chile verde salsa. I don't recommend the chorizo. Not only was it greasy, but pretty flavorless. My husband got the breakfast burrito with bacon and he really enjoyed it. We want to try Brewers Row for happy hour. Excited to try the guacamole

Was curious and interested but left disappointed Got the al pastor torta and fish tacos then drove to a nearby park to enjoy with the wife and dog. The torta left a lot to be desired since it was so small and lacked enough meat. It's not authentic as it's on a ciabatta roll ¿¿¿??? The tacos tasted good but were way too soggy so the beige apart right away. The salsa was good

Walked in around brunch time on a Sunday. It was packed. Mexican themed which is fine by me. Big shared picnic style tables worked for our six top. You walk up to order and they are very helpful. Delivery is to the table. They were out of the tamale dish i wanted, but there were plenty of other breakfast options. Not a loser in the bunch. Good coffee, beer, and drink choices. When in the area I'd like to check out their happy hour.

Ive been here several times and the food and service is always top notch. It can be a bit noisy in there when busy but its not terrible. It can also be really quiet some nights. I do moss the covid nights where it was quieter but now that it's beautiful and summer everyone is out. Love the outdoor seating and the open window barstools you can sot at. Love the del fuego nachos. So good!

DAMMMNNNN! Went expecting a bar-ish place, but that not the vibe. And I was NOT disappointed. Tacos are AMAZING. Al pastor, chorizo, & carne asada. Deliciousness! BEST with the roasted habeñero salsa. No really. It's not blazing hot, but is more citrusy-tastiness. Bring a growler and get it filled!

Everything here is just a little bit more interesting than in your average place. It's not really a fancy slow-food kind of place, but it's closer than most Mexican restaurants you'll visit. They did an excellent job with the interior, and a third of the floor space is dedicated to a mock up of the set of the "El Chavo del Ocho", and you can watch Don Ramon getting slapped by Doña Florinda on the television as you enjoy your meal. Service is attentive and knowledgeable about the food and the menu. The appetizers are excellent: The taquitos were the biggest hit, and be warned that the stuffed Jalapeños were full on burners and not for the meek (seeds are not removed). It would have been even better had they'd been a little more roasted, but I'd definitely order them again. Every one of the plates I've tried: the Tlayuda, the Tortilla Soup, Tongue in Salsa Verde, and especially the Torta de Chilaquiles were excellent. The Torta was my favorite, from its crusty loaf that was grilled first, then filled with chilaquiles, eggs, and eggs, and chorizo. I'm going to have a hard time not ordering it every time I go. The menu was changed between my last two trips, and the current menu is now on a spiral ring binder as opposed to the paper menu that was given before. The new menu mirrors the online menu. Gone is the lengua in salsa verde and the pozole. Descansa en paz! It's a little more expensive, as noted before by others, but you're getting a bigger bang for your buck in taste and quality. If you're not interested in the quality and care put into your food, then take a right out of the parking lot, and then take the first left, and you'll find that there's a Taco Bell with your name on it just a mile away.

Andrew (our server) introduced us to his sidekick, who was in training. Love that personal, hands on approach for a mew team member, and Sidekick did a great job in monitoring our table and replenishing water. Have to stop here and express my appreciation for Andrew and how he took the time to explain the philosophy and genuine team vibe of the restaurant. Oftentimes when a restaurant adds a flat 20% gratuity, you get the feeling this is not passed on to the servers. Not so here. He explained that it's shared among the servers, bar, and other staff, with only a bit retained by management, but even that finds its way into their wages. Terrific work environment and happy to see it. It definitely shows in the level of service. But we're here to eat. Didn't take a picture, but one of my dining companions ordered the burrito with red chili sauce and it was very good. Just the right amount of heat in the sauce. The Cantina celebrates Taco Tuesday, so I took advantage of this. You get the opportunity to try 5 different street tacos for the low price of $15. For another $4 you order it fully loaded which is a steal (guac, pickled onions, lettuce, giardano, crema, and another lovely sauce). Each of the tacos were really delicious and packed full of flavor. I especially enjoyed the cauliflower and the beef. Was surprised how much I liked the popcorn chicken - still juicy and not greasy in the least. Andrew treated us to a round of the hatch green chili. I was delighted because it was a dish I wanted to try. He described it perfectly: a little kick, but you can't stop eating it. He was right. A bowl of this in the winter with their cornbread (which I'm confident will be delicious) will preempt a winter cold. The sauces on the table are not to be ignored either. The green chili sauce was fruity with a little heat, the scorpion chili brings the heat, but their homemade chili oil is phenomenal. I could put this on everything. In short, the Cantina delivers. Excellent food, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and fun staff, and a cool vibe. I'll bet the cocktails will also be good. Definitely adding to the regular rotation!

Food came out quickly. Our server was very friendly as well. Checked up on us often and was very warm. We ordered a couple drinks. They were solid and got me a bit tipsy lol. We ordered queso fries as our appetizer. It was my favorite thing we ate there. Fries were warm, crunchy, and soft in the inside. The sauce and meat tasted great too. We also ordered corn dogs off the happy hour menu - the cornbread around the dog itself was thinner than I'm used to in a normal corn dog, which I liked! It was a good bread to meat ratio and the sauce was excellent. For our main, we got the bang bang burrito and the birria tacos. The burrito was delicious. Super flavorful and the side salad was good too. Loved the dressing. The birria tacos were not the best I've ever had. The tacos themselves were good, and the side of beans was solid. Just the consommé was very oily. Very enjoyable experience overall. Definitely would return.

We instead focused on the Plate of Nations menu which was $35 serves 2 people - basically the MLK neighborhood version of restaurant week. - Chips and salsa and queso - the chips were decent but the salsa was thick in texture, which is not really my preference. I liked the cheese and wish they gave more than just a small sauce cup - Chicken wings - we got the honey butter and it was great - Fried Brussels sprouts - also very delicious. Amazing execution of the appetizers - Enchiladas - this is where it went downhill. The sauce was bitter and the chicken was a bit dry - Tacos - basically kind of like Taco Bell but with fresher ingredients. Happy hour it's like $12 for 2 tacos which is quite a ripoff (and extra $4-5 surcharge for other proteins beyond ground beef and chicken...) - Rice was good but I was barely able to eat the beans as it was not that good I got the raspberry mint caipirinha for the cocktail and it was really refreshing. I loved the muddled fruit that I decided to pour water into the cup as an infused water after finishing the drink In addition we had the tajin-dusted fried zucchini and that was good. I love the creamy green chile sauce which acted as a nice dip for the chips because they were so stingy with the queso dip. For dessert we tried the sopapillas which is quite airy and it's nice to try it sweet instead of savory. Service is really slow. It took us almost 3 hours to finish the meal, with lots of waiting in between courses. This needs to be improved
