Still a five star coffee shop. We make a point to stop by here whenever traveling northbound on the 395 from the Los Angeles area. There is some street parking and also a dirt lot just a bit south of the store. They also have a clean gender neutral restroom for customers. The staff are always friendly even when they have a full house. The full house is a testament to the wonderful espressos and food offerings. I can tell Brewed Awakening is both a local favorite as well as the road trip tourists. I usually order a oatmilk latte and an iced coffee with whipped cream for my husband. We love their coffee. We have ordered food as well but this time we were just in need of coffee. Do yourself a favor and pay Brewed Awakening a visit some time soon!

We tried this place for breakfast since it was next to our hotel. Unfortunately, everything we tried was disappointing. Even their homemade cinnamon rolls were dry and tasteless. The lady taking our order was rude and seemed bothered to help customers.

Was hard to not buy this. I'll pick it up next time

Was passings through from Lancaster heading back home to Reno. Looked up coffee places and this popped up. I got a caramel latte which was amazing! I also got the key lime blueberry mini bread as a snack, very good was impressed, they seemed to have a lot of options for food wish I had more time. Next time for sure. They also had local artist items for sale which I wished I got something.

Very cozy ambiance and energy, the barista was so fast and friendly. I had a latter which was made perfectly, really enjoyed reading all their wall arts while sipping on my latte. Highly recommended if you are going that way.

This place was a great spot very fun with all the sarcasm. The food tasted amazing especially in front of the lake view that we had for our hike. The service was decent we will definitely be back. Highly suggest to try this place!

Huge selection from healthy fresh savory yummy to sweet yummy!

I love this coffee place! What a brewed awakening to such awesomeness! I am so impressed! And the two sweet workers top it off with such kindness and welcome you right away! The whole ambience and decor and furniture and beautiful things to look at makes it all so inviting. It has a flair of country with the music in the background. So happy I discovered this place in Big Pine!

Stopped by for some coffee while on my way back home from Mammoth Lake. This coffee shop is very cozy and very well decorated. The coffee shop is super clean and the employees are amazing. Employees were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. I order the iced OG Hunter and it's amazing!!! It's the best seller! Must try!

Such a cute & cozy spot to grab a quick coffee/bite to eat. They also had board games in their little library. The Hootin' Chassy dirty chai latte was soooo yummy!! Their lunch sandwiches were also delicious the bathrooms were also cute and clean, which after being in the car for hours is a plus

Great coffee AND gluten free food options?! Suh-woon! The gals working here have fun banter and are super friendly. GF and regular breakfast items galore! My bf loved his burrito better than the biscuit (the biscuit needed something else but was so good), but both were yummy. There is indoor and outdoor seating, games, book, fun stickers (I got one with a raccoon saying "fight me coward) lol), a bathroom, and just a fun vibe. I can't wait to try the lunch!

Great stop along the trek to Mammoth. They open at 5AM!!! Friendly service and staff. As well as other travelers and CalFire crew en route to work.

My favorite stop when passing through Big Pine!! The ladies are always friendly and welcoming. They are always helpful in assisting you when you can't decide which yummy food to get. The coffee is incredible, and the food is just as impressive! It's such a charming spot--with outdoor seating, games, fun items to shop, and just the right amount of sarcasm to keep things lively!

    This took 30min to make.

The oatmeal is so good it made my day. They have a ton of other good stuff, but I mostly ate the oatmeal.

We showed up a bit after opening and the staff were ready to make our sandwiches, there was enough to get through the morning ! Me and my friends ordered different sandwiches. I got the Hollywood tremor and it was soooooo good. The bread was fresh so it' was nice and crunchy and soft, at the same time. The meat was fresh and everything just worked and tasted amazing. I also got the watermelon lemonade and it was so delicious! I took my breakfast to the back and it had a nice little seating area with a pretty cool view. It made my morning! After backpacking sequoia we went back and ordered even more sandwiches because it was that good! 100/10 definitely would recommend and I will be coming back if I ever go to sequoia again! Also if you're ever going to the national park this place is the last area for data.

As the years went on I was a little wary of giving them that recommendation since it's been so long since I've been there...but good to know it's still just as amazing 8 years later. They have updated the interiors and there is plenty of seating both inside and outside the sandwich shop. We opted to sit outside so that we could see the river (even though it was 90+ degrees...but in the shade it was a cool 85 degrees) Gourmet Green 5/5 turkey, creamy almond cilantro jalapeno spread (not spicy to me) kind of reminded me of the green goddess sauce, red onion, roasted red pepper, havarti and spinach. Everything just worked beautifully and it basically felt like eating a salad. Blue Cheese Potato Salad 4/5 I wanted this to be more blue cheesy, but it was still pretty tasty. Though when my bf tasted this, he said it was really blue cheesey so maybe I just want it to be way more intense tasting. So glad that this place is still here and that they still are super delicious :)

Apparently, you order first and THEN find a table--even with 20 empty tables staring at you. We learned this from a fellow customer who apparently promoted themselves to Assistant Seating Manager. Let's just say the explanation wasn't exactly friendly. Then there's the bar. Only about half seemed available for seating, giving me a little COVID-era flashback. I was looking around wondering, "Wait... are we still social distancing?" And if I want another beer, do I keep getting up and walking back to the bar? At that point I'm not drinking beer--I'm doing cardio with refreshments. We'd previously had an unfortunate bakery experience involving bugs and hair in our sandwiches, but everyone deserves another chance. Then I visited the bathroom. I was going to post a blurred picture, but honestly, I decided nobody needs to see that while scrolling through their feed. Let's just say whatever happened in that stall had somehow managed to cover just about everything. I'll leave the rest to your imagination. Overall: good burger, confusing setup, COVID-era seating vibes, and quite the collection of side quests. Order. Find table. Get scolded by the volunteer seating coordinator. Eat burger. Walk for beer. Visit bathroom. Question life choices.
