We went here to watch the crab races since we had never heard of such an event. We arrived 30 minutes before the start of the races to get ourselves good seats. Immediately upon entering the restaurant, Tito who is the one who runs the crab races met us and wanted to know if we were there for the races. He explained the concept of the race. Each hermit crab is picked by a patron who pays $3. The crab is named by the patron and Tito writes the name on a piece of masking tape on the crab's shell. The crabs are placed in a bucket. At the start of the race, the bucket is flipped upside down in the center of several concentric circles of chalk marked on the floor. The goal is for a patron's crab to be the first one to cross the line of the yellow circle. There are an assortment of prizes such as excursions or coupons for local establishments to be won.The event lasted about 45 minutes and was fun. We had their Cruzan Confusion cocktail and barbecue chicken wings. The cocktail was refreshing. The chicken wings were average. They were not fried crispy and the flavor came entirely from the barbecue sauce. read more

First time visiting. This place is a little tough to find! Especially if you are driving in. It's probably not so hard if you are walking around the boardwalk. It is a very cool outside bar/eatery. The staff is very friendly and the food is good. Watching the boats and the tarpon near the boardwalk is pretty nice. Some of the boats are lit up for the holidays. I had a dinner special of linguine pasta with seafood. It was a generous portion with a lot of fish, shrimp and lobster pieces. I was very pleased. My husband had the fish and chips, which was a mahi mahi served with fries. I forgot to take a picture because it was late and we were really hungry! I didn't think the prices were too bad. Our family of four was able to eat for under $200 and that included 5 Cruzan confusion drinks and one beer and a Sprite plus two cheeseburgers. read more

Was able to snag two seats at the top floor bar on a Friday evening. The water view from the deck is amazing, even in the dark. Our bartender was young and friendly. There were several locals at the bar with us and he seemed to have a good report with them. I had the bushwhacker and it was the perfect after dinner drink. We really enjoyed our stop here on our cruise. The waitresses were beyond friendly and so sweet. The food was delicious. We got a Cuban and the tacos. My daughter got the Mac and cheese. Just watched the Super Bowl here last night and wow what a great time! We ordered Brussels sprouts, Caesar salad and hot wings. They had a lot of great specials for the game too. Our waitress was Dani and she was so friendly and kind. The atmosphere was a lot of fun as everyone was enjoying the football game and half time show with commercials. First night here in STX and I can't recommend the peanut colada enough! This is a cool little bar to sit at on the boardwalk and watch the evening go by. Lots of random wildlife, strangers, and a beautiful view to look at! They were unfortunately out of quite a few of the menu items when we got there at 5:30 on a Monday, so I'd plan on an earlier dinner if you have your heart set on something. This is a nice bar/restaurant located in the heart of Christiansted, along the board walk, overlooking the water. They have seating on the boardwalk, bar seating and open air dining room seating available to eat. They have a couple of televisions above the bar and music playing throughout. There is also an upper level to the place that looks like a reception area or a dance floor. I can imaging that the view from up there is amazing. There is a dead end street right off of the restaurant that has a few spots, but they are premium real estate and hard to come by. I have seen the police ticket cars illegally parked in this area a few times. There is free street parking within a reasonable walking distance that is also available. You may have to be patient and/or park a little further out during peak times. You will find a spot though. They have a full service bar and an abbreviated menu packed with items such as salads, fish, burgers, wings, pasta, pork chops, and shrimp. I sat in the bar area overlooking the water. They seemed a bit overwhelmed and I had to do much of the servers job like go to the bar and get my menu and place my order there as well. I ordered the fish tacos with fries. It took about 30 minutes for me to get my food and I found it funny that a couple that ordered the same thing that I did, but came much later, got their food before me. Anyway, When I got my food, it was luke warm at best, as if it was sitting back in a kitchen for a while, waiting for them to bring it out to me. It tasted decent, but I could not get over how cool it was. I will admit that it was a decent amount of food though and that the tacos were packed. I also got a Lime in da Coconut, which was also subpar. It was very watery and had small chunks of ice in it. I also did not get a straw (not to drink it per se, but at least to mix it up). I had such high hopes for this place and really wanted to like this place more. However, my experience was not the best. I had sub par service, non-excitable food and blah drinks. I do think that this place could easily be a 4 star joint with a few corrections. read more

This spot is such a hidden gem--I honestly don't know why it's not rated 5 stars across the board. The place has two levels, and we sat upstairs which had a cozy, elevated vibe. The bartender was fantastic--super friendly and even came over to our table to chat and check in. It made the whole experience feel really personal. I ordered the hummus plate and a few drinks, and everything hit the spot. Even better, we got to meet the owners, and they were incredibly down-to-earth and welcoming. They gave us some great recommendations and genuinely cared about our experience. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxed hangout with friends. This bar and grill is located right on the Boardwalk in Christianstead. Great views of the marina. And the food and drinks were good as well. This area is like a petting zoo, there are chickens that walk around near the tables, with chicks in tow and even some juvenile fowl. On the other edge of the boardwalk there are 3'-4' tarpon fish that will jump out of the water to eat a French fry or a chicken bone. We also saw a cat just mozy on by. But to the food. I got a Brew Burger. You could tell it was cooked on a grill which was nice. The patty was thick, the sauce and cheese were a nice touch, had a zing to it. Wife got the fish tacos which are two huge pieces of breaded fish on soft flour tortillas. She enjoyed. We got a couple beer flights and then picked which beers we liked out of the flight. You get three beers in the flight. They were all pretty good honestly. This is a great place to get a late lunch and have a drink of your waiting to leave on a sunset sail or some other excursion. I would not recommend if you're in a rush, as this place is on island time like most places around St. Croix. We were in no such hurry though, and really had a good time. read more

Drinks were good, also slow to the table (why so slow, I ask? "Only one blender working" is the reply. At a bar that specializes in island blender drinks? "It is what it is" comes the reply). Finally the appetizers arrive at the table and the group orders food. An hour later, and now snarly, we ask where other food is. "Kitchen's busy" is the reply. (Table next to us arrived after us, ate and is now departing. Waitress returns, says "kitchen lost your whole order, everybody has to order again". Ok, stuff happens, we order all of it again. We order an ASAP appetizer and reorder all six dinners. Another hour passes, no appetizer, no dinner! One of our group goes all "Karen" and demands to see the manager. "Ahh, no can do 'cause there's no manager here". Really? "Really". At 2-1/2 hours to get dinner, you better have lots of time. read more
