    Crunch Wrap Supreme Night!
    Glenn B.

Wednesday night out for CrunchWrap Supreme with friends! Always a fun hang out for locals and tourists! We received great service and the food was great! We gotta come back for trivia night too!

No Problemo is the only reason I'd come back

I feel like I may be better served getting my drinks or food at a handful of other locations downtown. The only reason I'd really pick this place is if I want a very basic cocktail mixer real strong. But if I did that, I'd order two drinks at a time, seeing as I sometimes had to wait 15-20min between ordering my drink and actually getting it. And hey, I don't blame the staff. You book live music and put just 1 runner and bartender on for the night, then service is going to drop. This is a management issue. That said, I also wouldn't order any custom cocktails like the cruzan confusion. They are quite simply not good. And, since they seem to never have draft beer, you're left with dropping $4 on a bottle. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken, and there really wasn't anything wrong with it. Nothing too special either. Pretty basic bar food, really, which is totally fine. Not every meal needs to be a culinary masterpiece. But if the food is basic, the drinks are poor, and the service is strained, then why come here at all? So... Unless No Problemo is playing, you can bet I won't be going out of my way to visit.

We finally decided to try Common Cents since the last time we ate here it was Tavern 1844. Got in the door right at 5pm. Ordered two beers, chips and salsa and tuna poke for apps. Tuna was great and served with fried wonton chips. Very tender perfectly spiced tuna. Chips were tri colored chips served warm with fresh salsa. For dinner, GF did the Ceasar salad with blackened chicken I did the Nashville hot chicken with fresh cut fries. Ceasar salad was great, the blackened chicken was spiced good but very dry. The Nashville chicken was good, very spicy. Two big strips on a piece of grilled Texas toast, fries were not very hot otherwise it wasn't too bad of a meal. Add in 5 beers and the total was just under $90 without tip. PS Star Wars and Ghost Busters pinball in the back ...

    Buffalo Chicken Wrap & Fries

Great local spot in St. Croix. Food was really really good and their portion sizes are really nice as well. Got some Fried pickles as an appetizer, a Buffalo chicken wrap as my entree, and deep fried Oreos as dessert. Everything was amazing, I highly recommend.

Awesome local pub in St Croix. This is a foodie haven. If you are a Nashville relative you will enjoy the mixed menu that has many favorites. I loved the fried green beans, and cauliflower. Amazing! The Nashville hot chicken so so delicious! I also had the buffalo quesadillas. There is a peanut butter burger that you MUST try! To top it all off they have fresh cut French fries. They really know how to prepare food. If you are going there for cocktails try the fresh watermelon mojito. So fresh and strong. Not to mention live music. Come and enjoy.

Tuesday Bingo, Thursday Trivia, Friday Live Music, Saturday Karaoke, Sunday NFL Games... there always seems to be something going on at Common Cents. Great food and even better service. Love this place!

The drinks took over 45 min & a guest from my table had to go get them from the bar himself. The server did not come back to get the rest of the tables food order until 651pm & that's because we had to get her attention. The 1st order of food was brought out at 705pm. There are other tables getting food & drinks faster. The 2nd half of the groups food came out at 745pm. Server never came back to check on us or give us the check. We had to go up to the bar to pay out. 2yrs ago we came here and experienced the same service and food quality. My family likes the taco Tuesday specials but we have yet to have a good experience here. I can assume the tacose were okay but nothing to write home about. The wings & tots were good.

Definitely requires patience. My order was forgotten 25% of the time and had to re-ordered. "Would you like cheese on your cheeseburger?" "Yes please, I would like cheese on my cheeseburger." As you might have guessed it came without cheese. It was also overcooked, dry, and came on a dry bun. The pickles, mustard, and mayo (but no cheese) are at the condiment bar on the other side of the restaurant. Staff is running around. The problem seems more like disorganization than disinterest. They are polite but not efficient. Otherwise, lots of TVs. Also, lots of children. A few patrons appearing to be in late teens (legal alcohol consumption age in USVI is 18) who may have been over-served. Good for watching NFL on Sundays. 5 pool tables and a foosball table.

It was our first night on the island and we were just looking for some good grub and a place to hang for the night. Luckily, this local joint was still open! Though the experience driving to the location felt kind of sketchy (junk yard right outside, some homes looked abandoned around the neighborhood, parking was on a grass patch with a fancy porta-potty behind it, just one guy hanging out in front of a what looked like a trailer converted into a kitchen), this was either going to be disaster OR bleeping delicious. We were directed to order inside the bar and not outside by the trailer... we said cool and made our way in. Remember when I said sketchy? Well... now picture walking up creeky steps, opening the door, to find a stripper pole in the middle of the room, a pool table to the right, and a bar in the far back right corner with an empty dance floor. The bar was full though and the food smelled delicious outside so I turned a blind eye to everything else and took a chance... not expecting much, we ordered some take out food and then sat and waited for it with a couple drinks. To our surprise, this place was so very legit, to say the very least. We got the salmon crispy bites and bbq chicken wings entrees, both with a side of rice&beans, mac and cheese, and salad. The portion sizes were ridiculous for the price, the fish was so fresh we questioned if it was actually fish, the chicken wings were so crispy even though they were smothered in delectable bbq sauce, and we had enough rice and beans to feed a small army. The bartenders were soooo sweet. The girl took her time and explained to us how things on the island worked and suggested some food and activities after serving us up a drink called "Cruzan Confusion." Well, that drink became the one drink I drank the rest of my trip there! Deliciousness in a cup that can certainly get you confused quite quickly if you don't consume with caution! LOL. Overall, food was 10000000% yes, atmosphere could be less chaotic but it seems like that's how the island operates, service was wonderfully exceptional as well. One star was knocked purely because of the beginning atmosphere... which certainly changed when we gave it a chance. Definitely give this place a try!

It was the place to grab a plate of food before heading into shift work. El Sol Bar & Restaurant is a what many locals refer to as a "Santo Bar" or establishment run by Dominicanas (ex-pats from the island of Santo Domingo). This gem is located off the beaten path to most and I would never expect a tourist or visitor to find it on their own. Quickest way to it is to travel EAST, past Sunny Isles on Centerline Road. When you the Sion Farm Traffic Light, make a RIGHT and drive SOUTH. Look for it on your LEFT on the side of the road. El Sol has parking lots on either side of it & also street parking (if it gets that crowded). There are 3 sections to this establishment: * There is an exterior walk-up order area where you can see the food available for the day in the windows. You then point to what you want and they bring it to the cashier for you to pay. * Alternatively, there's also an interior bar where you can order drinks and food as well. A music jukebox and TVs keep you company while you wait for your orders. * Lastly, there's an interior seating area that is spacious and good for groups. Because it is isolated by a door, it makes for more private dining. El Sol has an extensive menu and it is comprised of pork, beef, chicken, fish, conch, many starches & provisions and a few veggies. I recommend their chicharrones (fried chicken), stew fish, porter house steak, their conch and fish. Please keep in mind the times that you visit while ordering food. Sometimes you may find one of their food options in a tray almost empty. When this happens, ask them if they are going to refill it and how long that may take. This will give you an opportunity for the freshest food selection. If you're in a rush, I recommend Calling-In your order ahead of time to confirm order availability. Overall, I recommend El Sol Bar & Restaurant and Ive enjoyed eating here over the years. I've been a patron for many years and years to come.

Wait time to collect food is ridiculous! Even if you call your order in you still have to wait long.read more
