Chicken Bacon Ranch (no bacon)
Mara D.

Great location - parking - great food / beer menu. I will def order the cheesesteak next time instead of the chicken bacon ranch. The flavor wasn't flavoring *sigh* The pickles were yummy :-)

I had a great time at this place! I was the first to arrive and there were plenty of open spots in the lot, although it's on the smaller side. I can't help but wonder what it's like at peak times -- though I guess there's technically the big parking lot at the shopping center across the street and what not. As long as they don't tow, right? Anyways, Sunday afternoon doesn't seem like a busy time for them at all. I walked inside and didn't see my buddy, so I just looked around. The first thing you see is a big pile of board and card games on the table. That's all I need right there. And then there's a bar to the right and high and low tables everywhere else. It's self-seating, but you order at the bar. Though I did notice throughout the day as the staff would come to grab empty glasses and plates they would ask if you wanted anything else, so I think it's pretty flexible. As I was grabbing water from the station (nice to have), my buddy arrived and we grabbed a table. We then went up to the bar and I was looking through the menu. They... have way more food than I expected! And here I learned that they don't make their own beer, they sell a lot of local craft. They have a display menu of what's in rotation, sorted by flavor profile. I grabbed a rather electric looking one from Peabody Heights (I need to check out the barcade there) and it was delicious! My buddy and I split wings and those were impressive too. We got lemon pepper and BBQ dry rubs. We just sat and chatted, and it's definitely a great spot for sports with all the big TVs. I'd come back to explore more of the food menu -- they put brussel sprouts on their veggie cheesesteak. Who does that?!

I have not had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant a few times. I like their concept. They have up to 20 beers on tap at any given time. As well they have several coolers loaded with different types of local and non-local beers. They also have a full bar and offer a variety of sandwiches and sides. The restaurant also has a number of TVs which makes this place great to watch sporting events. The staff are great. They have the "rundown" on all of the beers they have and offer recommendations based on your preferences. Restaurant is very clean and there is something always nee in the beer cooler to try. With Chilli cheese dogs on the menu, this will definitely become a regular spot for me to visit. If you are in the Olney-Sandy Spring, you definitely want to check this place out.

Loved the Cider options, this one was great!

Went yesterday since we were nearby. Really friendly and nice vibe. Good options for beer on draught and cans and bottles. I thought the food was great too. Way beyond the basics like some places like this. Stuck with Poutine and Cheesesteak! Prices seemed fair too for the location. Will def come back when in the area. Recommend just for the food alone, but if you want a 6 pack of some nice microbrews.. also your spot!

Stopped by during St. Patrick's Day weekend for some of their specials and the Cajun Coast food truck. All menus are inside including the one for Cajun Coast food truck. The place is kept clean and all the staff members are friendly. Lots of families and young children are always here on the weekends. The wait for food was short and Irish music was playing as we enjoyed the specials. Everything was delicious. The corned beef and brussel sprout cheesesteak was stuffed with meat; would've liked a bit more of the sprouts as my child really liked them. The Cajun catfish was po boy was well seasoned and flavorful. Both po boy and cheesesteak weren't very heavy. The Irish stout stew poutine was good. The fries were not soggy despite being smothered in beef stew and cheese. There were plenty of beef chunks and soft carrots and onions. The Irish Old Fashioned Cocktail was also delicious: Irish whiskey, green tea, peach nectar, and cardamom bitters. If I had more stomach space, I would've liked to order all the specials.

MoCo Chicken Cheesesteak

We went for a Monday night Puzzle event. They specialize in a wide variety of craft brews, cheesesteaks, HUGE Soft Pretzels, hot dogs and pub apps. Place is clean, puzzles and games can be found on the shelf as you walk in or bring your own to enjoy. There's a small bar space and communal tables throughout the space as well as outdoor seating space along the front. Staff is very friendly. Parking is tricky, which is a drawback. After 5:30p you can park at the American Security Bank Parking lot, 2 driveway entrances away (so it's a little walk). Orders are taken at the bar, you'll get a table indicator and your food will be brought to you wherever you decide to sit. Everything was served hot and promptly. We ordered a MoCo Chicken Cheesesteak (you can choose your protein from chicken to ribeye to Brussel Sprouts). You can also build a sub with a good variety of choices. I also got the Brussel Sprouts with Feta appetizer. Both were DELICIOUS! Restrooms were clean. No service charges on the tab. They also have Bingo and trivia nights.

The pub is nice. You can grab canned beers to go or enjoy something on tap inside or outside. It was chilly when we visited so we sat at a table inside. There is a small parking lot. There is space for board games that you can borrow. Kids of all ages can color. You order at the counter and take a number (actually a word) back to your table. Ketchup & mayo, quality napkins and water are available without having to ask anyone. The food is decent without being extraordinary. We didn't feel rushed. The staff members are nice. If you enjoy specialty beers and unique items on tap, this is a decent place to visit. Bonus points for crayons.

Half lemon half parmesan+ cheese curds

Overall solid 3 stars. Food is overpriced for what it's worth. Also hit or miss. Got wings twice. One time they were perfect but a little fatty (not my preference) next time they literally threw a whole can of seasoning on it. Couldn't eat it all or else ill get high cholesterol. Parking is always a nightmare on Tuesdays for trivia night. Go park at the bank on Tuesday if no spots left. It's a small lot and inside is even smaller. Some workers are rude some are great. Never had a problem with waiters. Only food ill recommend is the cheese curd. Dont ever get tater tots they taste like sh**. The pretzels are decent

Located in the heart of olney! The beers are fresh and from local brews. The cheesesteak we tried was #2 and #3 on their menu. I wish the beef was a bit more tender but bread held up and sauce was good. The service was on point :) Cute find in this area!

This place could be great but its not. Decor is cold, atmosphere is not there for a hybrid bar. Add a fireplace, table service and smiles..

They're more expensive than other some of the other beer and wine stores in the area. However, they…read moredo offer a few of their wines at prices comparable to other stores. I typically try to buy at Belby's because they always have great sales, but Village Beer and Wine is ok when I want to pick up something quick since it's in the neighborhood. They have few local brews on draft if you want to get a growler.

I'm not overly impressed with Village Beer and Fine Wine. We stopped in randomly after picking up…read moredinner nearby and right away I noticed the store was really small. Typically a small store doesn't bother me as long as there are a lot of options but I failed to find several brands I typically see inside a beer and wine store. We were stopping in for 'malt beverages' and didn't find a lot of options, maybe one or two Mike's and a couple ciders. The overall lack of choices for that department was disappointing but we ended up grabbing two six packs. I will say there seems to be a better selection of wine than the items I was looking for. We totally skipped the wine selection all together but if you're looking for a basic bottle you'll probably find it here. When it came time to check out I noticed that we were spending a lot more than at other beer and wine stores in the area. For that reason I will probably stick to my regular beer and wine store. I also noticed multiple postings about offering a 10% discount if a Yelp review was left... unfortunately cashing in on that discount is completely against the guidelines of Yelp. I passed on the discount to be safe and recommend users do the same.

They dabble in illegal business. Stay away or accept being scammed‍…read more The sign on the cash register says "$5 minimum required". People this practice is illegal! You can not be required to pay a minimum fee to use your card, make you pay the service fees or be required you make a minimum spending amount on your purchase. Please do us all a favor and report them. If they tell you they don't understand or it's store policy, say ok. Make the payment, go home and contact visa, Mastercard etc. Go to policy and terms. Report them and get your money back. It might only be $5 BUT they can refund the full amount and hold them responsible for all service fees you spent with them and refund every dime. They can even be required to settle you for the full amount or you can ask for the state maximum interest for fraud and intent to fraud and you can take it to your attorney and get your real justice of 5k. Its work but your worth it. When they choose to scam, we say we choose to report that and at times can take things too far. So let me tell you what happened. I went in this store to grab gum and a bag of chips and I wanted to try a wine cooler because the last time was my last time. Anyway, We slide our card in and she says thats not enough, we can, you need to spend $5. I told her no. She looks at my sister like you got cash!? I told her it's illegal to require a minimum payment for a POS system. She got mad and said oh well it's policy. I spent the $5 because I had to add a wine cooler SMH. I went home to confirm i can report her for intent to fraud and fraud and isa, master card and all bank cards say the same thing. Report them so I am. We do not have to accept being scammed regardless of how we pay. Stay safe out here spenders. Yes it's extra work but I need my coins to go to what I paid for and not be told you need to spend $5 if you use card on a POS. Let's normalize keeping our money right.
