Great place great service great selection of whatever you may need. I've done a lot of microbrews using their recommendations and have had great success in attaining what I was after I always will use them again. They also supply CO2 which is a bonus at a cost of course but hey, they have it. read more

I signed up and attended the "Beginner Home Brewing" class on 4.30.2016. It was my first time being to the store and when I walked in I knew i had found a new favorite store. Everyone was super friendly and they had everything someone could want for brewing and growing. I was pretty intrigued to start growing as my next hobby (once I master beer). The class was great, instructor was full of knowledge and she had been brewing herself for years. She even is a certified judge for beer competitions. In-fact her entire family gets involved in brewing at home. So she is just a a well of knowledge. I'm more of a visual learner and that's exactly how this class was taught. It was all visual and made me feel comfortable to get started right away at home. The class size was small and perfect and the samples let you try what some of the home-brew kits tasted like. I left with all my supplies (generous 20% off discount for taking the class) and plan to have my first DIPA ready in 2-3 months. I highly recommend both the store and the classes, these are some true professionals and I look forward to becoming a brew-master one day. After coming in the store multiple times and spending well over $800 in the last 2 weeks alone, I needed to pickup a bigger fan and filter for my tent. I was already driving there as it takes almost an hour to get there from my house so I called to verify they had it in stock before I made it all the way there. I told the guy on the phone that my gps said I'd be there 2 mins after they closed at 5pm but I'd likely make it there right at 5. The person on the phone did some weird half laugh thing and said "sorry pal we ain't staying open late for anyone" had nothing but good experiences with the one guy that's helped me every time I've come in but whoever was on the phone is someone I've never seen/heard in store. Sorry but y'all lost my business. Too bad I can't return everything I've already bought from this place cos I Forsure would after someone being completely ignorant like that. Ventilation is one of the most important things for indoor setups and Its Pretty evident that your employee doesn't give a damn about the customers or whether or not peoples plants will beable to survive for the night.. For some reason, I decided that making hard cider would be my next hobby. I researched endlessly for a few days, and stopped by Brew & Grow to pick up some basic supplies. They had everything I needed to get started: a fermentation pail, siphoning tubing, stoppers, airlocks, Grolsch-style bottles---everything. The guy who helped me was friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great experience overall. After the fact, I began to question whether I was oversold on what I really needed. Happily, my subsequent experience and and reading has proven the opposite. There were a number of optional things in the store I could have been sold which I wasn't. I definitely recommend this place for the beginning brewer, and based on the offerings in the store, I'd guess they could handle much more experienced customers too. read more

I'm so happy this store exists in our area. I picked up from here: *Earth Worm Castings *Coconut Coir *Mychorrizal Fungi *Compost *Vermiculite It's a dream place for any gardener that can't find these products in big box stores. Apparently big box stores think the only way to upkeep your garden is through spraying chemicals and miracle gro. I'll be back for these and for brewing supplies as I look to become a home brewer in the next year. Amazing, amazing place. read more

My husband is a professional brewer and a homebrewer, and he purchases many of his homebrewing supplies here. For the most part, their prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and informative, although sometimes they can be too talkative. They always have a few of their own brews on tap, and they will usually offer a small sample. All in all, this is a great place to purchase brewing supplies and equipment. read more

Solid selection of homebrewing supplies, and staff that are helpful and not overbearing. (Sometimes I know exactly what I want but a brewing store's staff occasionally assume they have to walk me through everything, and that gets old fast!) As other reviewers noted, the prices are very competitive with online retailers. The hand-crank malt grinder is nice and convenient for when I don't want to bother getting out my own at home. One thing that confused me on my first visit - you can see the store from Bolingbrook Drive, but to get to it, the entrance is the very first driveway that's west on Crossroads Parkway from that intersection, and it will take you around front to the store entrance and parking. read more

This place is not bad at all for grabbing your equipment and ingredients for homebrewing. I find the prices to be almost exactly in line with any online stores, and you don't have to worry about the shipping costs. Bob the in-house brewer is a huge help, and all the employees are happy to share samples of beers so you can get a little inspiration if you'd like. I started as a homebrewer here with extract and now am doing all-grain, and I enjoy going to these guys anytime I need anything, whether it be grain, gadgets, or a little advice if need be. I am just testing the waters with home brewing so I was looking for advice. After my second visit dropping another $150, I'm convinced the best thing for other Brewing Supply companies is the guys working at this place. Begrudgingly helping us trying to pick out the things we need, more focused on counting little stock items in a box than actually helping customers. You would think that getting a newbie all set up and dialed in would get us coming back, but all they've done is convince me to never come back again. Note to the owner - it ain't COVID that's hurting your business, it's the lame help you got "working" for you. read more

A good place to buy ingredients and equipment for beer brewing. They used to have beer samples on tap but that got shut down. I miss talking to the owner but now the workers are a bunch of young kids I don't recognize. read more

I used to visit the store in chicago(on Racine) was a fan of the bins. Glad they decided to do the same in Bolingbrook. Twice now had great service although did't have the exact ingredients gave excellent options on Hops and Yeasts.Someonelse mentioned the free grinder this saves me time pulling out the drill and grinder also the cleanup.Always worth the trip out there as the supply house by me ..sucks they never have anything I need.Not much of a extract fan but the Imperial Brown Ale was delicious if you do kits.Will keep taking the ride until you open a store on the southside. read more

I visited the Brew and Grow to purchase items to start my veggie garden seeds. It was the first time that I've grown seeds instead of buying plants from the local hardware store, and the employees at the B&G were knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting the best products. I wanted to use organic products and they carried an great selection. My husband homebrews and although we did not purchase anything from that section of the store, we did browse and thought that they had a great selection of products. You can also sample homebrews at the store, which was fun. I would recommend B&G for both organic gardening or homebrew supplies. read more

Its half gardening/half home brew store that's situated in an industrial plaza. The older guy there was knowledgeable about home brewing and gave detailed info. on dealing with brewing different styles. Nice to have a store of this caliber without having to resort with online stores and shipping fees. There's also a grain crusher that's available to anyone that wants to use whole grain in their recipe, but doesn't want to use extract or buy a crusher. read more

I am very disappointed in the customer service. I visited on 3/5/2015 at around 4 PM and was appalled to be so rudely treated by an employee. Upon payment, the cashier threw down the pen at me and was incredibly disrespectful. When I asked if he just threw something at me, his attitude and tone clearly communicated a lack of respect and maturity to deal with customers. I was so shocked at the utter lack of professionalism and incompetency that I didn't even ask for names and managers. My girlfriend and I have been coming here since they opened to buy supplies for our vegetable garden as well as for home brewing. They've got a great selection of everything we need, and their staff is extremely knowledgeable on both gardening and home brewing, and have an extensive knowledge on all of the products they carry. Until I found Brew & Grow I purchased all of my home brewing supplies online, but I'd much rather support a local business, especially the great bunch of folks that work here. read more

Walked into the store was not Greeted as I came to the counter no hello no type of greeting I paid the lady she did not say anything about have a nice day thank you nothing very ignorant very rude people just because of that I probably will never go there again.
