I woke up on a Saturday with a little black spot in my lower left eye. By noon, half my vision was…read morecompletely obscured by a white cloud. It was a detached retina. I went to local ER (live 45 miles from Ft. Worth), and the dr. there got hold of Dr. Hajovsky who agreed to meet me at his office even though they were closed. Without any nurses, he spent 2 hours with procedures to stop further damage and help start to mend. Wednesday was the surgery, and a follow up the next day. I was very impressed with Dr. Hajovsky and the entire staff.

Veterans Beware!!…read more This Doctor's office does not and will not accept VA referrals for their services - PERIOD!!! I am a disabled veteran and I have just recently retired and have moved off my Corporate America insurance policy. So, I now rely on the VA for my medical services. I have tried for over a year to get this Dr.'s group's back office (and so have both of my great Doctors there) to accept VA payments so I can maintain my medical relationship with my 2 doctors. Sadly, during this entire time - the person in charge of the dept. that oversees these types of asks has said they will not accept payment from the VA - EVER! So, they clearly - have "ZERO" respect for Veterans. I am amazed at the run-around I have gotten, no call backs, and complete disrespect I have received from this back office team! Rude and argumentative is the common theme when you mention you are a veteran! So "hats off" to the most non-friendly VETERAN back office team in America!!! RAH - USMC!

I have been going to this place for about 3 years. I don't know what has happened recently but…read morethis place has fallen apart. I got contacts for the first time recently and they gave me boxes with the wrong contact prescriptions inside. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't see for days. The woman at the front desk is so rude and put out when you call - it's like she wants people not to go there. I am still waiting for them to transfer my prescription to another place - it's been a week. The guy they used to have up there was phenomenal. Pretty bummed out because I liked this place.

Not happy with this visit. I am a regular patient at this optometrist's office. I arrived early,…read morewalked around looking at eyeglasses an eventually sat down waiting to be called. Another patient with the same appointment time was called first. No problem. Another patient walked in late for her appointment but was called for her appointment first. When I walked up to the receptionist to inquire why I was still waiting, she said I would be called back soon. An assistant appeared shortly. She took a few pictures of my eye and then said we have no rooms available and I was asked to sit back in the waiting room area. I was eventually called back again and now I am waiting again for the optometrist. I guess my time is not valuable to this office anymore. You would think someone would say the optometrist is running late. Or, make the late person wait since they were not respectful to be here on time. None of this occurred. I may have to look for another optometrist.

Dr. Bass is an amazing eye doctor. I need special scleral contacts due to keratoconus. I had…read morebeen to 3 other eye doctors, one of them a keratoconus specialist, and I was never able to get lenses that were comfortable enough for me to wear more than a few hours. They either got foggy before lunch or actually hurt. I read about Dr. Bass on a Facebook keratoconus group and made an appointment. I am so glad I did. He and his staff are so nice. He tried some tester lenses on me in his office and found the right fit for me. When the lenses with my prescription came they were great, but Dr Bass thought he could get them better, and he did. I can wear my new lenses all day long with no fogging and no pain and I can see so much better than I could with my glasses. If you need a new eye doctor definitely give Dr. Bass a try.

WARNING! These are…read morethe facts: I just walked out of an appointment. They claimed they took my insurance; I made an appointment. Arranged to take time off work to come here. I arrive and they tell me that I have to pay a $39 fee for some random eye scan technology. AND it is not covered by insurance. They will not take no for an answer. I read the paperwork, and it said it was required. They said the Dr will not see you unless you agree and get the scan. So, I left. Those were the facts. This is not an opinion. This is what literally happened to me. The following is my opinion based on consumer protection, patient care and ethical principles: This is the issue: They wait until you are there to tell you. This was not told to me on the phone when I made the appt. They could have told me it was required. But they prey on people who, like me, took time off of work so the people feel desperate. Very predatory. I have paid my eye insurance money so that I can get a visit there for no charge. That was what the agreement with the provider and the insurance company was. In my life, I have never had this eye scan done. I don't care if the "dr" thinks it's great. It's an attempt to open your wallet. I have had it offered by other optometrists and it is always OPTIONAL. In fact, Eyeworks, down Hulen, offers this scan for the same price but it is OPTIONAL. NOT REQUIRED. This is the age of surcharges, fees, taxes and tips. DO NOT GO HERE. There are plenty of other optometrists in Fort Worth that do not attempt to tack on last minute charges. Oh! Also, while I was in the facility, the people locked the door. Maybe for safety? However, this is against OSHA law and against fire code. Please consider that as well. If the place catches on fire, you are locked in.
