After dealing with shady sales tactics from Lowes and a few other vendors, I was pleasantly surprised when the Owner Rich came down from Salem, NH to personally review my needs. He explained that the 8K was more than enough for me. Now, keep in mind that the Lowe's rep suggested a 14kw, go figure. Rich's proposal was all inclusive and very straightforward. He offered financing through Generac but I ended up using personal finances. All it took was a 50% deposit and the work was scheduled. Rich showed up early on the install date as scheduled. My town was unique in that they required a building permit, so that stalled the process, but Rich was there throughout the entire process. There was one hiccup with the gas guy being behind, but once he installed the gas lines, it was good to go. The personal touch by Rich is what sets Alpine electrical services apart from all of the other dealers. My weekly generator exercise hasn't been working properly, so Rich has been very responsive in ensuring that it's working as promised. Aug 1 2025 had to have boiler serviced as it wouldn't make hot water unless furnace was running. Same good tech came out and discovered the issue was a small aquastat (?) Device that wasn't replaced along with the new boiler; ok that makes sense. The small meager uncomplicated part cost me 676 bucks for a part no bigger than a cell phone. Again I gave the tech 5 stars but again they called and began trying to get a better "customer review". Told them the cost was insane and it seems like a case of fraud as I never got a detailed receipt outlining the parts etc. I'm thinking of collecting info and retaining a lawyer to get to the bottom of this.
