Woo Hoo! This is my 700th review. Brentwood is a combo restaurant, bowling alley and event space. It reminds me of a different venue from my childhood. Good memories of small, rural town chic. The service is excellent. The menu is varied. The venue is clean. The patty melt arrived swiftly, but was a disappointment. Overcooked to the point of being dry. Too few grilled onions and melted cheese. The menu mentioned portabella mushrooms - they were very thick cut and hindered the sandwich. The bread is two thick-cut slices of a rye, grilled, but insufficiently crispy resulting with too much chew and poor mouthfeel. The fries were excellent! Very crispy. Very potato-y. Unsalted, thank you very much as I prefer my fries very, very lightly salted. The wet burrito was a hit for my buddy. Will I return? It is 2.5 hours away and the food is not worth the drive, but my friends are worth the drive and I will happily return. read more

Attended a luncheon in the banquet hall, after a funeral. The staff was very efficient. Buffet style. A decent sized salad bar- all the regular fixings, along with coleslaw and macaroni salad. Fresh baked bread, ham turkey and the famous??? Dough balls. They also had clam chowder and chicken soup. Everything tasted very good. read more

Excellent ham and cheese panini, todays lunch special with fries for $6.99. The sandwich was much better than I expected, full of hand sliced ham and they subbed Swiss cheese vs American. The panini bread was exceptionally fresh, grilled just right and I had it with lettuce and tomato. Fresh cut fries were hot and crisp. Overall excellent lunch for the price of fast food. Even without the special pricing it was more than worth it. Additionally, the very pleasant waitress was masked as were the other couple having a late lunch. Unless you have no taste buds don't go. If you're going for bowling and some beers then why not. But if you're going for tasty food then get back into your car and go else where. They seem to like to use a microwave on chicken! It's rubbery and very uneditable. They use to have some good dough balls but can't say they do anymore. I've had tons of friends go and have had the same experiences I faced. The salad bar is a joke and very unsanitary and they may have shortened the menu but still didn't change the way the foods made maybe they need too get a whole new staff that actually care on how the food is prepared. And for the price of things you would think you were getting something worthwhile. Again it's a waste of time. Maybe to catch up and have a drink but don't waste your time on buying food. read more

Anytime I have someone visiting from anywhere but here, I insist that we come here to have dough balls at least once. Wasn't very good today meal or service. Usually its the best meal and service I could ask for, but today husband had a hot roast beef sandwich a lot of grizzle in the sandwich and potatoes were lumpy. My silverware was dirty and instead of getting my husband a beer she was talking to some other people and a different waitress came over and offered to get it for him. My dinner came after my husband he was half done before I got mine. I will go back everyone has a bad day but it will be a little while. read more

A lot of times we rate things based on comparisons or based on our own expectations rather than what things actually are in and of themselves. But that's a random thought and I'm guessing that part of the 3 star rating is probably based on comparisons. But, below, is a list of pros and cons for this place. Pros: 1. Food is pretty good and a generous portion was provided- I had the Lumberjack Panini with Fries. The Panini was STUFFED with meats and there were two BIG halves. (I had lunch the next day as a result). 2. Given the size of the meal, the price was pretty reasonable. 3. There was a cross present on the wall (this may be a con for some, but I actually appreciated this)--this is obviously more subjective appreciation. 4. Service was quick and courteous. My server was kind and I was in and out within 40 minutes of getting there. I was not rushed (I could have stayed longer), but the quick service was appreciated. 5. You get a sense that everyone knows everyone--small town feel. Cons: 1. Looks outdated--think old church hall coffee hour; the atmosphere is bland 2. Nothing really stood out as special on the menu 3. Fries were a bit soggy. read more

I love to eat at the Brentwood. Been coming here for 25 yrs. Everything is good and the prices are nice too. Try the wet burrito, triple decker club sandwich, Brentwood burger, chicken craisin salad, French onion soup ... the list goes on and on. Great food with great prices! read more
