AZ Home Improvement [AZHI]. (3 stars)…read more UPDATE: Varinia did reach out to me after I posted this review and again, very friendly and dog lover owner that I have no personal issues with. In all fairness, I did NOT reach out to Varinia to ask for compensation or request re-work because I do NOT want to pay for re-work which I personally would feel obligated to do if someone did work for me. I am NOT saying the company would ask me to pay but I would feel bad. Also, any re-work that would need to resolve this issue would really be to tear out most of the nails, screws, etc and start over. I cannot go without a fence at this point. So for me, there is no "mutual" resolution. I would never ask for a refund or discount since I do feel the company did work hard! I just expected first time quality with better materials. I do believe this company is a hard working and passionate family business that strives to do their best. I just stand by my statements below regarding my fence. See original review below... BLUF: Very friendly service and accommodating to other requests but for quality of workmanship... that was far from professional. Let me be fully honest in saying I did ask for other items besides building a fence for my dogs and I didn't really have a lot of expectations but the workmanship on my fence was very disappointing. I gained or should I say regained full custody of my fur babies after the ex and I went our separate ways. I wasn't planning on finding a place that allowed dogs but in the end, the ex and I both know that the dogs are much better off with me. I searched for contractors as I really need to get a fenced in area for my dogs asap. It honestly pains me to give 3 stars but after talking with my ex about the quality of workmanship and the fact that he paid $4k to fence in his entire yard using 100 ft of material and I paid $2.2k for 33 ft to fence in a very small patio, I probably should've gone with the company he used. His fence is beautiful with great material used and no holes or nails sticking out or huge gaps between the wood slats!! Varinia told me that her and her family started this company in 2019 during COVID. I'm all for supporting small businesses. I definitely shop at big name stores but try to use local businesses when I can. Full disclosure. I was desperate and AZHI was the first company that could build a fence for me in such a short amount of time. I told Varinia that while I didn't want a gold plated fence, I would accept the estimate and didn't give them much of my expectations. In hindsight, I should've asked for my fence to be much higher because all my neighbors can see into my patio which is very awkward. But I don't blame AZHI. My fault and I only noticed it after it was built. I did ask AZHI to do a few other odd jobs for me which they did and I didn't have any issues with those but the fence... yeah very disappointing. I posted my photos to show what I'm talking about. The lock on one gate still doesn't work properly. Varinia also stated that and said she would change it out since it seemed defective. However, that never happened and now I'm going to go with a different company to do that change out and one other job. Some of the slats are so far apart that people can see into my patio. The wood rot holes are BIG. People just peer in to see if I'm home. Very awkward and scary. Nails and screws protruding out and smashed down. Very unprofessional looking. Sorry. It is!! Please understand that this is my experience and I'm sure that AZHI does a great job on other home improvement areas but my personal opinion is that fencing isn't exactly their expertise. I do truly appreciate their ability to complete the job quickly albeit longer than first estimated. But again, that isn't my issue. Perhaps others experiences will be far better than mine I hope! I do wish AZHI well.

They did indeed get the dishwasher out, saving me money for an additional repair. I would definitely use Blitz again.

As I was preparing to move into my new home in February 2021, I decided that cleaning the home was not something I wanted to deal with during the move-in process. After doing research and reading through reviews, I decided to go with this company. They are definitely more expensive than other cleaning companies in the area but I figured it was due to them being thorough. On the day of the cleaning, I allowed 3 of their staff, including one of the co-owners, into my home to clean the vacant house. I had other tasks to handle so I left them in the home and came back an hour later. Upon my return, Mr. Chappell started walking me through the home (in a rushing manner), directing me to give the okay for each room. I informed him that I saw dust in several places as well as the floors not completely vacuumed. After he walked away from me, I had time to review the cleaning more thoroughly to discover that there were several areas their team had missed. When I informed him of the continuous issues I kept discovering, he told me that I cannot go back and say something needs to be corrected after I've already given the okay. I politely informed him that he was not going to tell me what I couldn't do in my home and that I would not have had to request better cleaning if his team had done it properly in the first place. Words were exchanged and his team corrected the problems but by this time I was frustrated and ready for them to leave my home. He subsequently called me and I thought it was to apologize for his tone and the inadequate cleaning services they had offered. BUT NOPE. He called me to tell me that he wanted to up-charge me $50 for cleaning my EMPTY refrigerator since it wasn't on my already $500 cleaning bill. At this point, I requested to speak with his wife, the other co-owner, who I had previous correspondence with. I explained the issue to her and she agreed to waive the refrigerator cleaning fee and give $40 off. I was exhausted by the whole situation and ready to just be done. To add insult to injury, I had an exterminator come in the same day and I told him about the cleaning service. He looked around and said the home didn't look thoroughly cleaned and it didn't even smell like any cleaning products. I would have left the situation alone if I didn't have to bring a friend in subsequently to help me actually wipe the inside and outside of my cabinets, thoroughly clean the bathrooms him and his team were suppose to clean, and numerous other cleaning tasks that should've been covered by their services. After speaking to several people about the situation, everyone told me it was important that I wrote this review because I would have done things differently myself had I known this level of service would be provided. Talk about a making a moving process more stressful and $450+ wasted. My hope isn't to scare people from using this service but for them to understand the impact they had on my moving process. I ended up pushing my move-in date back a week because I had to find time to actually clean up behind them.
