I have been going to Brenda's for a year now, after receiving a recommendation from a friend. Unlike some of the reviews, I have always been taken on time for my appointments. I notice some clients come in 10-15 minutes late and expect immediate service. Clients don't understand that being late causes significant upset to the schedule. I am a year-round residents and had heard about Brenda's through local friends. Finally got to try it not once, but twice and I was severely disappointed. First, they cut your cuticles way too much so they grow in rough in less than a week. Secondly, and more important, I had an appointment and in both cases had to wait over 20 minutes to be taken. They all use the party line about other clients taking too long, needing nails soaked off. A good nail salon will ask clients on the phone when making an appointment if that is needed. I feel like they took summertime walk in without any regard for appointments. It's too bad, as I am here around and it is awful slow in the winter read more

I have no idea how they got such good reviews. We arrived for a scheduled appointment and could immediately see that they had overbooked. They led me to one place and my daughter to another. They then decided that I should get my pedicure first. So they then started to lead me there. Next, they figured out that all of the stations were full. So, back to the manicure area I went. At this point, the staff were clearly arguing with each other...very loudly speaking and gesturing to each other. In the meantime, my daughter had been shuffled around as well. So, I told the manicurist what I wanted done with my nails. She literally rolled her eyes and I could kind sympathize as the place (which I was super small) was jam packed. Lastly and most importantly, the place was filthy. My daughter asked her manicurist to clean off the old nail dust...he then proceeded to wipe it off with his bare hands. We left with no nails and had to scramble to find another salon (nails were for my daughters wedding), So, to sum it up-dirty, overbooked, and unacceptably loud. read more

I would give 6 stars if I could! Everyone had amazing personalities. They go above and beyond with their services. Their prices are just right. I had the dip done on my hands and a regular pedicure, they both came out perfect. The dip was the best I have experienced and I have been to about 5 different places. They do a really good job and they're very nice, but the woman who did my manicure did not use freshly sterilized tools - so I will not be back. As I was waiting for my nails to dry I did see one of the nail techs get tools out of a sterilizer, so they have one. But the woman who did my manicure had a mug full of cuticle clippers next to her and used one of those on my hands. She seemed to be the boss, too, so she should set the standard for hygiene in the place. Sorry to post a bad review, but you ought to know what you're getting into if you go here. read more

I don't normally write reviews, but I was pretty disturbed by a practice at this nail salon. The manicurists seemed nice and efficient, but they all reuse the paper towel that the clients put their hands on. I saw one manicurist turn over the paper towel after one customer left, so I looked around and saw that all the manicurists, including mine, reuse the paper towels. Not a sanitary practice in my view. I won't be going back. read more

Best pedicure I have had on the Cape! Brenda did a meticulous job with an amazing scrub and massage followed by a hot stone massage and warm towel. Hello. I went to a few large nail salons one day and they were all busy. I happened to ride by Brenda's Nails and stopped in. It is a small intimate place with soft music playing. Kenny was so nice. He is the brother of Brenda. He is the 12 th kid and Brenda is #8. Kenny was particular and detail oriented. I'd return in a heartbeat and hope this gem stays as intimate as it is. read more
