Well on the morning of the day I was supposed to check in, I received a call from the resort basically saying that my reservation was cancelled due to overbooking and there was nothing they could do for. This was totally unexceptionable!!! This is the worst experience I have ever had with a resort!!!

Very clean. We were in the 3/3 bedroom unit. Huge. Spacious. Very clean. Great view of the lake. Beautiful pool. Great clubhouse with games, movies and video games. Only reason I didn't give it a five is the surrounding area. There is golfing and fishing and boating. Other than that, nothing. When we were there the weather was in the 40's and 50's. We aren't golfers or fishermen. The state park had nice hiking available but other than a day trip there, not much activity. If you're looking for something out of the way, quiet and relaxing then this is a nice spot. I'm sure with better weather there is more but this wasn't my experience. Glad I came though. Also, no sales pitch. Huge in my book!

We found out Five Star had not been doing quarterly checks because the tenants had trashed the property, stolen furniture and appliances when they had rented the property furnished. Five Star was extremely unhelpful in getting things settled and we took an extreme loss. Property management is supposed to make property owners' lives easier, not harder.

Very clean and friendly front desk. We did not go to pool area, too many kids. Location was great. Has several places to eat next to it. Great places to get a drink in the evening. You can walk straight onto beach next to pier, no steps. The hotel has a access but old wooden steps with grass around it to use. Would be great to make a ramp instead. Parking good on both sides of hotel. Most of rooms have a ocean view balcony. Elevator on ground floor to check in on 2nd floor. A few vending things and nice sitting area. Negative was they opened up a drain into the ocean after it had rained. So it made it hard to walk the beach. I had never seen this at another beach. They dug trenches down into sand. Definitely spoiled the beach vibe.

There was free water running in the garage, the door to our bedroom broker and the lock wouldn't work and without bedroom. st. barts blue tried to bill us for this and would never reply to the voicemails, emails, and messages left for them. They sent a 2nd email to ask for payment with threats. They now threat legal action to pay for the door that we never broke. I asked for Robert to speak with me and he refuses to even once speak to me. They won't return calls and do not do what they say. I offered an amicable resolution to this and they would not honor what they said they would. All they had to do was contact Amex as I did and this would be resolved but they threaten court. I anticipate a counter claim and lawyers involved. I would suggest other options for your vacation.
