Cashier was distracted by her cellphone with customers ahead of me. I was purchasing several greeting cards i had just spent 15 minutes picking out from a 50% off rack. She told me only the Leaning Tree cards were on sale and I said the sign did not say that and I only chose cards from one rack that had the sign. She then argued with me and I asked her to please check her sign. After she looked at sign she came back clearly irritated saying "news to me" and "they never tell us anything" and told me "I guess I'll let you have them all at half price" I told her never mind, I will just take the one that was a Leaning Tree card at half price as I didn't like how she was making me feel bad about it. THEN she told me she didn't know how to even sell them at half price. I was so embarrassed as there were many people behind me in line and I felt like she was bringing out the "Karen" in me without my control. I've been buying greeting cards in this store every year around the same time when we visit (happily) at full price so it was a nice treat having them marked down. Or so I thought. I apologize to anyone I made uncomfortable in line by my behavior, but I was really hoping she'd just be helpful and kind and provide the service I'm used to receiving from this store. I purchased a Funko soda from this shop yesterday then I realized each can looked very strange the plastic wasn't perfectly round or smooth like the usual Funko sodas I buy their were bubbles in the plastic from the reheating resealed due to they probably opened each can till they found the Chase to keep or sell at a higher price online I'll be buying funko soda from else where from now on once I did my research I realized it was 100% resealed the actual black plastic wrapped around the figure inside was strangely not snug around the figure and was very easy to open and loose I'll stick to my other shops from now on that way I'll get something that's 100% FACTORY SEALED!! read more

Came by to grab the son a souvenir toy for our trip to ocean shores. Shop keeper couldn't even be bothered to come inside to sell the toy because he was to busy having a conversation with his friend outside. Will not be coming back. Ownership should really hire competent staff. read more

Channel your inner nerd! We would make the trip to Ocean Shores just for this wonderful place. He has toys, he has video games, he has not video games, and he has a chicken you squeeze for help instead of a bell you ring. We love all the fun little novelty things he carries, including some pretty durned funny pop culture magnets. I have purchased Roseanne Rosannadanna, iZombie, and a couple of other wonderful gems that I can't remember off the top of my head. But, we must talk about the selection of video games - lots of classic stuff for your Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64 or whatever funky device they don't make anymore, but you still have in your possession. This is a must-stop place if you are in Ocean Shores. I guarantee they will have something that's of interest to every single person in your family. read more

I went into this store as an action figure collector, I wasn't expecting any extremely high end collectables but I thought they might at least have a few marvel legends or DC figures, but I was rather disappointed, it seemed to have primarily gimmicky toys for young children, seeing as it's a bit of a tourist town I shouldn't have been expecting much. I think this is a new toy store as I do not remember seeing it in August 2010, it sits in the plaza with Apollo mopeds and Murphy's Ice cream. Anyways, parking can be a little dicey, as there is a ton of foot traffic as well as moped traffic. Inside though is lots of fun stuff for the family to enjoy, from video games, to stuffed animals to action figures and board games. They even have educational toys near the back. We picked up Cole a fun little bank that had his name written into a dinosaur's name. Very fun. read more

This whole place is filled with amazing toys and games - from vintage fun to brand new releases. Everything was pretty reasonably priced, and what's most important was that you could tell the owner genuinely loves what he does! He had quite a knack for paying great attention minding the store while making suggestions and cracking good-hearted jokes with everyone that walked around. I think what impressed me the most was the attention paid to the little customers - in a very good way! It was never trying to up sell or anything like that, rather taking time to explain how something works, or showing where they can learn more about a rock collection. Even playing the Imperial March on a toy kazoo for a fellow Star Wars fan - just because! The selection here seems endless: board games, puzzles, books, Legos, cards, video games... the list literally goes on and on. We will definitely be back. read more

Great toy and video game shop located in the downtown shopping strip. Variety of toys, puzzles, games, dolls, plushes, knickknacks, Legos, RCs, beach toys and video games/consoles/electronics. Aisles can get kind of cramped but still worth the trip. Most items are reasonably priced. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Always a must go for our kids! Would recommend and will return. read more

This place is great!! It's got everything from puzzles to toys to cards. This is a perfect marriage of kid and nerd heaven. We spent a long time browsing this place while waiting for a prescription to be filled at the pharmacy next door. The owner was great, and we ended up purchasing a few things to keep us busy at our hotel. Loved it! Can't wait to see what he's got next time we are back. read more

Not only is this a fun shop with a variety of toys, games, video games, systems, cards and such, they even host events and allow you to trade in your old games at fair trade value, as they need to make a little money too. But, they are more than fair and dealing local, with good people goes along way. I can't recommend them enough. I lived here a year and a half before my son turned me on to them and now I'm hooked.
