The thing that makes this shop different is they have a full size embroidery machine on site. The quality of their garments is very high and the embroidery can be personalized with a very quick turnaround. They carry some other high quality and different designers with sea and beach themes. When you purchase items from this small business, the owner and her family are the ones who will wait on you and make sure you are happy. The price point is about the same as other beachwear type shops, and the quality is quickly apparent when you see and feel the garments. After several years of wearing his favorite hoodie, it was beginning to show wear and tear from his active lifestyle, so I went looking for an exact replacement. I took a photo of him in the old hoodie and showed it to the Sun Catcher staff. There are so many color choices, I could not decide which color was the perfect match. Four staff ladies came to the rescue, went in search of the perfect match, and brought me the hoodie I was looking for. Now that's great service!

I was looking forward to see how they would put their spin on a classic boutique in Stone Harbor. They still have a Lilly selection, although it's so much smaller than it used to be. I loved seeing some Instagram favorite brands like Farm Rio and The Striped Sheep in the racks, but like a previous reviewer indicated, I was missing the usual volume of fun inventory, cute, whimsical things you would only be able to find at the shore. It felt more like the boutiques I encounter in Manhattan. I also missed the warmth toward the customers. Not a single associate interacted with my mother and I when we browsed, which was incredibly disappointing for two, loyal People People customers.
