Sun Catcher's staff were very helpful when I went shopping for a new logo hoodie for my girlfriend's grandson. After several years of wearing his favorite hoodie, it was beginning to show wear and tear from his active lifestyle, so I went looking for an exact replacement. I took a photo of him in the old hoodie and showed it to the Sun Catcher staff. There are so many color choices, I could not decide which color was the perfect match. My daughter loves the sun catcher sweatshirts but I refuse to go in that shop. The staff is rude and they make you feel unwelcome. I have a service dog and he was not welcome. The staff should be trained on what service dogs are and what the ADA is. read more

Terribly rude staff!! I was followed to the corner and my 11-year old son and I were accused of shoplifting a $20 hat that we had literally just purchased. I will never go here again! Pete Smith's is so much better than this and has a much better selection! read more

I love shopping here but the only problem with this store is the unfriendly staff. We have been going there for years and every time we go, the staff acts as if you are going to steal something and greets you with an arrogant attitude. We will continue to shop here but the staff could definitely use a training on how to treat customers with more respect! One of the biggest perks of shopping here are "Sun Catcher Bucks" which rewards the customer based on how much they spend. Incredibly rude staff. Came in for clothing for a friend as a gift and had people hovering over time the whole time. The people there were very judge mental and gave off a "your not cool enough or rich enough to shop here" impression. This is definitely not a shop for actual surfers/skaters. This is more for teenage girls who like the surfer skater Astetic, there's nothing wrong with that tho, just be aware of whet your getting into before shopping there. The people there clearly don't care about these reviews tho. There clothing is so incredibly over priced it's rediculous. $50 for a hoodie. A plain regular hoodie with the logo on it. You could get 2 hoodies from any mom and pop surf shop or heck even a Ron John for that price. Very disappointed and definitely don't recommend shopping there. Hopefully the staff get a lesson in customer service beachside it was so terrible it felt like one of those places were the staff is TOLD to be rude. Also, they were all over the age of 60, there's nothing wrong with that I jsut felt like they weren't the type of crowd to go to the back and wax or board or set up a new skateboard for you. They looked more like the people to yell at you for skating in a public area. Yes, I did look scraggly when I went in, but stil, I was a CUSTOMER, trying to give them my business and was met with glares and "oh don't touch the shirts, they are really hard to fold" in condescending tones. The staff here is awful! My girlfriend and I were told we couldn't touch any tshirts on a shelf so we couldn't pick them up to buy them. Instead we were directed to shirts on a rack that are clearly old inventory as the fabric is faded and the logos are wearing off. This chatty old bird followed us around and gave us her life story while telling us what we could and couldn't touch. Needless to say we didn't buy anything and got out of there fast. One of my favorite things about this place is how four (yes, literally four) associates follow you around the store like preying hawks acting as if you're about to shoplift. It's great. Just kidding, it's actually horrible. None of which by the way even asked if I needed help with anything. I come to this store every year when I visit the beach because they have nice things and the past few years I've notice this is a reoccurrence, but this year specifically it was excessive. Stopped in last night with my family and we've never felt so uncomfortable shopping in a store in our life. I did read a sign on the dressing room door saying they changed some rules of the dressing room due to shoplifting but I think having multiple employees breathing down your neck the whole time you're shopping is ridiculous.
