I had spent a very long time growing my hair out, so having that much cut off when I specifically asked for only 3 inches was absolutely devastating. My hair is now significantly shorter than I wanted and i'm extremely upset. The stylist I was given was named Bita. She was incredibly rude, making comments about my hair as well as my earrings throughout the appointment and was very snoopy when I was tipping which was highly unprofessional. On top of all of that, the haircut felt incredibly rushed. She had another client after me and cut my hair so quickly that I felt like she was more concerned with finishing my appointment than actually taking the time to do what was asked for. I do not recommend this salon especially if booked with Bita. I definitely will not be returning.

I really wanted to like this place but they failed me on the cut. :( First off, in terms of taking precautions for COVID, this place was fantastic. They sent me detailed information on what to expect and their safety protocols. I avoided getting a haircut because of COVID but this place definitely made me feel comfortable and safe. I made a last minute appointment so there were only Creative Directors available to cut my hair. Despite the high cost I agreed to it because I figured it would be worth it and so the receptionist booked me in with Daniel. I actually hadn't cut my hair in over a year and decided to donate 10+" (my second time doing this, so I knew the process). The salon was also pretty well versed and suggested I bring a ziplock bag with me to store the hair after it's cut. Everything went super smoothly which is why I feel terrible to even write a bad review. I really enjoyed the conversations I had with Daniel but that's where he may have gotten ahead of himself. He told me that as a Creative Director, it's up to him to understand what the client wants through the conversations. So there was obviously a disconnect because the cut he gave me was NOT what I wanted. I have South Asian curly/wavy somewhat thick hair. And for the last 2 decades, my hair has always been cut in layers. But Daniel for some reason didn't pay attention to that and gave me a shoulder length blunt cut. That said, the length I have no problem with because it's going to a very deserving cause, but a blunt cut? Why would any skilled Creative Director think I wanted a blunt cut with my thick, curly bottom-heavy hair? Layers is really the only solution, unless he expected me to want to pin straighten my hair everyday. While he was blow drying my hair was actually when I realized he gave me a blunt cut, at the time I thought maybe he was blow drying it to then dry cut it (which I've had done before and is very common with curly hair) but no. His next client arrived and was waiting in the seat next to me and I just didn't want to stick around any longer, I thought it might look better after I washed it myself and let it air dry, but no. I also didn't have time to go back to see if he would "fix" it. Anyway, I gave myself 2 months to see if the cut would possibly grow on me, nope, still hate it. So I had to share my experience and disappointment. As much as I like Daniel as a person, it doesn't seem like he knows hair as well as he thinks he does.

May sound like I'm bragging, and yes, I am :-) I've been fortunate to be Elena's client for many years and I always leave salon with a happy smile, looking and feeling younger and more beautiful. Today I had another happy visit. I asked for something we did last year, but instead Elena offered a new colouring technique - and OMG, it looks fantastic! I'm often complimented on my hair style and color and it really looks great. I visit salon every 8 weeks and the style and colour look beautiful even 8 weeks later, which I attribute to great products they use and Elena's professionalism. Once I had to reschedule my appointment and instead of 8 weeks it was 11. The color still looked great, which I find pretty amazing. Important tip: always book in advance, as they are very popular (and thus very busy) - especially if you need an evening or Saturday time, and especially around Holidays. I can only come evenings, so I usually book several appointments in advance so that I don't have to worry about it for a few months. If you don't like to book in advance and prefer casual walk-in, this place is probably not for you. The atmosphere in the salon is very nice and friendly. They offer you tea or coffee while you are waiting for color to set. You can also do your nails while you are waiting. Terry is a professional nail artist, he is very good at what he does and the prices are great. Hope this was useful. Happy hair styling!

Instead I got yellow and dark brown bumble bee highlights to the middle of my head that don't match my natural hair at all. Plus, now I've got regrowth And yes, when I calculated what i paid to your salon, i did include the generous tips i left. How you could let me leave looking the way I did (which i couldn't tell because of the lighting in your salon) is beyond me. If anyone wants to see the outcome of your work, I've uploaded the photos to my profile - so take a look. And yes, in my many years of going to hair salons, I've posted three bad reviews and yours is one. Honestly, you're the absolute worst. You should feel embarrassed but, clearly, that's not in your repertoire. ......... After growing out my grey hair for three years, while keeping it long, I decided I'd put a few DIY highlights at the front of my bangs, where the hair is still pretty dark. Dumb idea. I went for a fix, but the tone was still off, so I called Texture, where there's a really great colourist who knows how to work with grey. She wasn't available, and I was heading into two weeks of travel and client presentations, so I asked if there was anyone else there experienced at matching grey hair. I was told that Allison, the owner, was. I paid $170 for silver highlights in my bangs. Unfortunately, Allison made a mess of it, giving me big yellow streaks that didn't match my hair at all, then, as an initial attempt to correct the problem, extending it all about three inches back into my natural hair. The result was terrible, dwarfing the issue I started with. The only solution at that point was to put a demi colour on the whole thing to try and get rid of the now very large section of yellowed hair and create some semblance of a unified colour. I understand that mistakes happen. Such is life. But Allison then charged me an additional $75 for the 'fix', bringing me up to $250 for my botched bangs (not to mention the hours i spent at the salon), which still don't match. I was also told that i would now need to tone this big front section of hair, now, every few weeks to keep the yellow at bay, until it grows out - in about a year or so. A very disappointing outcome and customer service experience, all round.
