So I decided to buy a haircut voucher from Groupon for my mom so she can get a haircut before her birthday. When making the appointment over the phone, the receptionist told me wash and style is included in the price. No extra charges were mentioned. On the arrival the manager I believe or the owner based on the reviews (she didn't introduce herself and was not offering any hair service other then customer service at the time) stepped in as soon as I asked if the wash is included telling me that it doesn't matter if it is because they want to do whatever makes the customer happy. I got upset and tried to explain that that's not what I was told and that I would like to be clarified before the stylist begins the haircut. She said the full price for wash, style, and haircut was $60. My mom said she's ok with just a cut and the manager wanted to be honest and called her hair oily (which is an insult) and since their hairstylists provide the best quality it would be better if she gets an wash. The problem with that is that they wanted me to pay an extra $30 before tax (even though I was told it's included). The manager completely ignored my issue and proceeded to tell me how their salon is not a cheap place and that their stylists are professionals. I completely understand that, however I told her that the whole point of groupon is to get a good deal on a service. The manager got upset and started to yell at me in front of everyone and told me to get out of their salon which I refused to do since I'm the one paying. I told her multiple times the the price is not the issue. The problem was that I was told one thing over the phone and another thing in person. Basically, the manager claimed that the haircut is originally $45 (before tax) but for me they were willing to do it for $35. That is a lie because on Groupon, it clearly says that the full price for a women's haircut is $35 and with the ongoing sale it was supposed to be $20. She said that whatever I paid on Groupon would be deducted from the total amount. That made no sense to me because $35 - $20 = $15 extra on top of $20 which end up being the full service price. Again, I was trying to explain that it makes no sense and she kept taking my words as an insult because their salon is not cheap. Very bad costumer service from the manager and complete ignorance towards what I had to say (no listening skills at all). Close to the end of the service, the receptionist approached me and apologized. He told me that I have to pay just the tax for the service and $10 for the length. Which I was also confused about since my mom's hair is not long. It was just above her chest. Bottom line, the employees need to communicate with each other and discuss what's being offered to avoid miscommunication and false advertisement. Many thanks to the stylist that did my mom's hair and was very apologetic at all times (even though it wasn't her fault). The haircut was great and she got a well deserved tip. However, the experience was ruined by the manager (or owner). Will no return again.

I live in NY so I have a U.S. bank and wasn't able to pay the $20 deposit because I don't have e-Transfer, but I emailed the salon and they said it was no problem and not to worry about it. I was able to use my Visa credit card (they also take Mastercard) to pay. If you do pay the deposit, $20 is deducted from your total. The hair washing station is really relaxing, with lie-flat chairs so your neck doesn't hurt and sparkling lights on the ceiling. I'm so happy with my cut ($80 CAD before tip) and I think I got a great value for the level of service. I highly recommend Sam and this salon, his technique was so meticulous and I love my cut.

I booked my 3 year old daughter here for her first haircut! I had a recommendation to book with…read moreBella. The salon is reallly conveniently located, truly an excellent spot. Our appointment was for 11 am but at 1030, Amanda text us that Bella was stuck on a GO Bus and wouldn't be able to start until 1130. Normally that's not a big issue, but I was dealing with really tight timelines because of nap times and attention spans, so I couldn't just burn 30 more minutes than expected. I explained this to Amanda, and she said if I could get there soon, she would cut my daughter's hair. The salon opens at 11, but Amanda started with us at 1045. The level of customer service was unreal. Friendly, accommodating, apologetic and I got what I came there for - a sophisticated haircut for my daughter that wasn't just a "who cares you're a kid" cut. The salon is beautiful inside, the sparkling lights about the hair washing station was a nice touch. At the very end, Bella did show up and she seemed nice as well, but Amanda really came through for us. We will be back!!

#ServiceStarShoutOut I've been holding off to get my hair cut for the longest time ever. Now with…read morethe restrictions lifted, no way can I wait another month to schedule a haircut at my regular spots. So I went out on a whim during the Civic holiday dialled around in Chinatown to see if I can walk in for an appointment. Let's be real, there is no day off in Chinatown. Lucky me! Jane was free on the first call, and I did not need to wait or book appointments! $22 for a women's cut with cash only! What what?!?! Remember to tip! I usually pay at least double for a haircut, and can I honestly say it's double the quality of what I get from Jane? Nope. Jane took an after pic of my haircut. I only wanted a basic B hair chop with minimal layers at the end and she nailed it. Whoops forgot to take the before pic for comparison. You'll just have to imagine the girl from the Ring, that's me, hair to my waist. Jane and I had a good chat. Her native tongue is Cantonese, and she's giving me tips on how to style my hair. She mentions now with the pandemic, her client base is much more diverse. For health and safety, she is always masked and I put on a transparent disposable salon gown. I was the only person there! Likely, people didn't know she kept the store opened on Civic holiday. The place is very spacious for one person operating the whole shop. Jane explains she operates all three chairs there and switching between chairs for the next client coming in so that the chair doesn't stay warm for the next person.

Highly recommend this hair salon I got a short haircut for summer and very happy with the result…read more Price is reasonable as well.
