This review is specifically for Emi's AMAZING Urban Zen Integrative Therapy (UZIT) class on Monday nights. So first of all, this class structure is phenomenal! It combines restorative yoga poses, reiki (light energetic touch) and aromatherapy. So many teachers approach restorative as kind of flopping into a position, not Emi! I really appreciate how she brings a deep knowledge to these seemingly simple posses. She really explains the why and how of getting into and supporting the poses and what muscles to engage in order to receive the most benefit from the poses. She always has suggestions for alternative adjustments to suit all bodies. She also focuses on the mental/spiritual element of the practice to facilitate a holistic experience. Just went to Sunday evening sound bath and reiki with Emersen and Joyce. HIGHLY recommend trying it out especially if you have never participated in a sound healing. Very safe space and very relaxing but you can feel your energy shift. If possible schedule a private sound healing with Emersen. I had one after i was diagnosed with cancer and he placed the tibetan bowls directly on my body (with my permission) and feeling the vibration coupled with the sound was profound. Treat yourself to a sound healing... it just might be the self-care you need. read more

Carrie's facilitation of the Women's Way Full Moon Retreat was really fluid based on our needs/energy, so the whole thing felt very tailored to the group. The event was fun, introspective, and an amazing women's bonding experience. I'm so glad I went! I've also been to another special event at the studio, and I loved every moment of it. This is a really sweet and supportive studio. I'm bummed that I didn't realize my five-class card had an expiration date from 2 months from date of purchase. I was on vacation and have been busy so I haven't had a chance to catch any classes recently. Anyway, I'll still be back but will be mindful when I purchase my class card. I began attending classes here about a month ago. I have taken a mixed flow class, yogong (yoga and chi gong), yoga for you, and a Tara dhatu dance circle. Every class has been wonderful, unique, and accessible to all levels of movement. There is a sense of laughter, love, spiritual exploration, and coziness. Right now, our artists, healers and small businesses need the support of our community. It's been wonderful for me to back into yoga in such a lovely space. read more

I've taken classes with 2 instructors here and both classes have been wonderful. Tricia Markovitz's morning classes on Monday and Fridays and Terri's class midday on Tuesdays and Thursdays are supportive, warm and inviting, perfect for both beginners, those with past injuries and limitations and experienced yoga practitioners who want a warm, supportive environment. Tricia has a pleasant Saturday morning class that is still varied but offers a bit more challenge. The studio itself is light and warm and very clean. Quite inviting! read more

I found this gem when I was attempting to attend a yoga class at a studio farther away, but the morning traffic had other plans...the studio is bright and clean and filled with caring staff. I opted for the 2 week new student unlimited package so I could sample the array of classes and instructors-Eden has been extremely helpful with my posture and technique to decrease the strain I was putting on my joints, Trisha is a beautiful soul who emanates loving kindness from the moment you are in her presence, and Naomi's kundalini class is simply incredible. This is a bright, clean, and airy yoga studio with a good variety of classes and class times. I encourage anyone considering joining to opt for their current new student special: $35 for 2 weeks, which is a fantastic deal considering their a la carte class price is like $17. I was surprised that all of the evening (around 530-630pm) classes I went to recently were sparsely attended... in fact I went to a Friday evening class and I literally got a private class, I was the only student! They definitely deserve to have more customers! I attended mostly Level 1/2 and Level 2 classes, and personally found the classes just challenging enough (the level 1/2 was a little bit too unchallenging for me though). They do special meditation and chanting classes too, but I didn't attend any of those. The studio has such a nice bright feeling, with huge windows. Not sure if there is a shower, I didn't see a "locker room" but this place is great for dropping in and attending a class without needing a shower afterwards. read more

So far my only 2 classes were with Nick Loffree in his qigong time slots which left me wanting more. Apparently he is quite respected in our community, having previously taught with some other well known masters. With qigong we gain energy, as well as feeling some infectious energy from the reception of the ladies greeting us upon entering Breath + Oneness. I'm eager to participate in some of their studios's other creative opportunities but until that happens I need more of Nick's energy=That's qigong. We're even hoping that they add more. Beautiful space, beautiful people. I took a class with Matt that's at 6:15 on Sunday nights and it was wonderful. He really helped me to strengthen my practice by helping me to recognize my breath and alignment while challenging me at the same time. It was a great class to help me feel relaxed at the end of the day and feel strengthened for the coming week! read more
