From making an appointment over the phone to the examination with a professional technician, I enjoy every step of the experience at this facility. I have been going to this facility for almost 10 years and they have never failed my expectations. Whenever the exam date comes up, they remind me through mail and email, which is very helpful. They also give you an option to upload the documents and pay the bill through online, which saves so much time at the facility. The front desk staff are kind and fast and the technicians are very thoughtful. They found something through the test and thankfully it was benign but they have been on top of it by making me come in every six months until they were confident that it is not going to cause any issue. However, every time I visit them, they mention about it and took an extra care while taking the X-ray, which gives me a relief that they are always aware of it and paying attention to it. read more

I had a double mastectomy with breast link @ end of 2016 I have now found so many people who received their surgery lines underneath their breast. Mine were cut right across the center. Dr West never told me I had options. I definitely would've gone underneath so here. I am eight years later with very deformed breasts. They've been revised multiple times but they keep sucking in from the surgery lines right in the middle. I also didn't care for the fact that I didn't have a choice in picking my plastic surgeon. I just went from Dr. West St straight to Dr. West Jr while I was under . I don't feel that was right, I should've been able to select my plastic surgeon not just sent to his son in the same long surgery. It sounded to me like he's keeping his son busy which is all good but not in Medicine. read more

My wife visited Breastlink Orange for an ultrasound to investigate chronic breast pain, referred by her doctor. She warned the staff that her breasts were extremely sensitive, but the technicians (one appeared to be a trainee) applied pressure carelessly, causing severe discomfort. After the scan, a technician (likely the trainee) returned almost immediately, verbally stating the results were "fine" without providing a written report. No radiologist met with her to discuss the findings. When she reiterated her pain, the technician dismissed it as "hormones or breastfeeding"--despite her not breastfeeding for over two years. I called to complain and was told by the front desk that it's standard procedure for patients to receive results and have a radiologist explain them, which clearly didn't happen. This rushed, unprofessional experience left her feeling helpless. We've contacted her referring doctor for follow-up. For others, beware of inexperienced staff, ensure you get written results, and confirm a radiologist reviews your case. We wish we'd chosen a better facility. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. If you can't get your billing dept under control & actually have them communicate w/ the rest of the staff what is the point? Put me in collections but don't bother to check the file that my address was updated on my last visit. Then your Dr. Dang criticizing the patient you're performing surgery on while they're awake to hear you. She may have apologized to my relative, but that doesn't excuse her ignorance & cruelty. John West, thank goodness he retired. He couldn't even find the lump I had. I had to go to another doctor that was actually alert enough to find the lump to take care of it. So I'm glad this place is closing because they've been terrible to their patients doesn't matter what dept. they just really should've gotten their act together 10 yrs ago, they started messing up terribly. I was referred to Breast Link to get my yearly mammogram done. I have been going there for three years now. In my honest opinion they, suck!!! You're treated like another number. You feel as though you're another piece of cattle!! You have to first wait in this long line to just check in. Then, you have to wait another 30 minutes to be taking back to undress in a gown. Then, wait another 30 minutes to get your mammogram done! The parking is outrageously horrendous at Breast Link! In 2023 I was not informed they no longer took my insurance Aetna PPO!! No phone call or nothing by Breast Link! The appointment was made for a mammogram and I even gave them a copy of my Aetna card at the time of the visit!! I still wasn't told that, they no longer accepted Aetna or, no longer affiliated with Aetna, or no longer in Network with Aetna PPO through Penske!!! Three months later I had to pay for my mammogram that, was over $500.00 because, they were no longer in network with Aetna!! I tried to dispute it but, I still had to pay out of pocket! I just let the bill go to collections! I didn't care. Yesterday, I went to Breast Link to pick up my mammogram films to take to Placentia-Linda for my mammogram. I highly recommend Placentia-Linda!! Anyway, I had to stand in line 20 minutes to check in for my films! Then, I was told it would be another 30 minutes to get my films and go sit and wait. I yelled at the receptionist that I was told it would be 20 minutes to get my films!! The office manager assured me it would only 10 minutes to wait. It took 20 minutes to wait! I got my films and rushed to Placentia-Linda for my mammogram in, which I was 5 minutes late to my appointment but, luckily for me I was seen right away!! This has got to be one of the most professional and caring places to get treatment for the ladies that have breast cancer or need to get checked for breast cancer. I've been coming here every Tuesday for the past 7 weeks for my wife's chemotherapy and cold cap treatment since she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer back in October. The doctors, nurses, front desk staff and everyone that works here is friendly, patient and professional. A special thanks to Dr Link and Dr Tung and Jill. They are all fabulous and just mad respect to these professionals and the skill they have to put ladies under the knife, do surgery, radiation treatment and the whole 9 yards. Seriously. These people are the real heroes and leaders that make a difference in society and make our society better. Not most athletes and Instagram "Influencers" that have followers and admirers because their only skill in life is taking off their clothes. These people contribute nothing to society and are so vain and full of themselves. I have a whole new respect for medical workers and professionals that work in this industry. The amount of patience and maturity they need to treat and care for these women is on another level. I didn't know much about breast cancer until my own wife got it. Never thought in a million years she would since she is still in her 20's and healthy. But it happened and I'm so glad for these doctors and the staff here at Breastlink. It hasn't been easy (eating my lunch in the car, peeing in a Gatorade bottle in the car so I don't go in the lobby too much because of Covid, dealing with all the insurance and politics of it all. Omg the political aspect of medical insurance is enough to make you want to scream) but we are getting through it. Sad we are being relocated since they are getting rid of the Infusion center here. I know it's not the fault of the people here but I wish they would have just let all the ladies finish their treatments until transferring them over. Makes zero sense to simply transfer every current patient to a new environment, facility, new people etc. Cancer is already stressful and hard enough but having to do half here and then half at another hospital is cumbersome because we are going into the unknown and not knowing how the new facility and experience will be. I really like Jill. She really is a patient, compassionate and caring person. She doesn't have to be here but she is for she cares for these women. It's so awesome she's here and is with the ladies going through this. Seeing so many of the ladies in the building and lobby each week breaks my heart. I see the fear, distress and worry in so many of their faces when I'm dropping and picking my wife up each week and bringing lunch for her. It's great there are people like Jill that are here to walk through this with them. But the support my wife has had from here and her close friends that is doing her Cold Cap EVERY WEEK is just so humbling and brings me to my knees to thank the Lord that He is with us and will provide comfort, care, and provisions every step of the way. I'm thankful to the Breastlink staff and doctors and all they did for us to make my wife's treatments as comforting and smooth as possible. Also to my wife's two friends and close business partners that are doing her Cold Cap stuff every single week. It's so much work and not an easy thing to do each session for several hours. Each time I come here there is something that doesn't go right. I was called in for a mammogram today, and was told I should NOT be getting mammograms as I had a double mastectomy. The radiology department said I should only get ultrasounds and they could fit me in today, but needed a dr.'s order, so I went to the office, but everyone was out to lunch and was told I wouldn't get one today. I've called 3x for their new physician Dr. Pathak, as she said she would give me a referral for another procedure, but I never received it. I haven't had any imaging done for 2 years, the only reason I was called in for a mammogram is because the imaging department was proactive enough to call me. Additionally, they discouraged me from my last oncologist saying the CEA testing she was doing was not relevant, but at least she was doing something. Tired of chasing this around. I need a new oncologist and center that knows what they are doing. read more

The front desk ladies are welcoming and happy but the services is horrible. When they tell you the wait will be 5-10minutes it's a lie. I been here twice and they told me have a seat in the waiting area. Both times I waited from 45 minutes to 1hour. The first time I even came 30 minutes before my appointment like I was ask. First of all, all the staff are super great. They are SO friendly and patient EXCEPT the Ultrasound Technician named Ken Ken? Kin Kin (she's middle aged, asian woman). She is the reason why I am writing the review. She gets very annoyed and irritated easily and said I 'talk too much' during her reading when we were going back and forth about my previous ultrasound readings. English seems to be her 2nd language so I couldn't understand her 100% and had questions regarding my result. (She went back and forth about what she was saying-- Saying the doctor did NOT read my mammogram but later said the doctor DID read it) Because I wanted more clarifications, I asked the front desk and she saw me speaking to the front desk. She seemed really annoyed that I asked the front desk and said my result is out and why I am asking the front desk. She treated me like I was that 'annoying' patient when all I wanted to know is if the doctor was able to see my mammogram result from the other clinic that I submitted to the front desk. As I was walking out, I heard her talking about me. What she did was very rude and degrades my whole experience at the clinic when other staffs are Super nice. If you are to do your ultrasound, please ask for Brenda for she was super sweet and answered all your inquiries. Ken Ken if you are reading this PLEASE listen to the patient what they are saying before finishing off what you are saying. To you, I may be the 100th or 1000th patient that you see; however, to us you are the only person who we rely at that stressful moment of whether or not we would be hearing that bad or good news from you. I came here two years ago due to a growth in my armpit but also above my breast. My dr sent me here to receive an ultrasound on it. To know if it was attached to any tissue as i wanted that thang out. The lady who performed the ultrasound kept smacking the gown off my breast when i would cover it up a little. Which bothers me to this day. Nothing came from that visit. Was told it was nothing and now. Im sitting here looking for an office because my breasts hurt they woke me up. Going for months now. My doctor ordered a mammogram for me and was scheduled to have an appt. I requested to have the day off from work to accommodate the travel time and appointment. My appointment was scheduled for 12:35pm on a Thursday. Breastlink in Orange called me on Wednesday at 5:45pm, less than 24 hrs before my appointment, to say they canceled my appointment because it was incorrectly scheduled. I am on the phone now as I type this out to understand why it was canceled. Been on hold for 15 min and counting... This place is ridiculous. read more

I when to see her one month before I need it to have surgery and she was amazing to take my case. She explain everything to me about my surgery, she speaks trustworthy. I was so happy and I thank God I found Dr Bonev. I was so happy with her I was in great hands she took great care of me. This place was great when it was still owned by Dr West. I had excellent care while I was treated for breast cancer. Breastlink has now been sold to another medical corporation and since then it is nearly impossible for me to book an appointment for a mammogram and see my doctor on the same day. My phone calls get bounced around from department to department, and many times my calls get dropped. Clearly the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and I will most likely have to find another doctor. read more

Been coming for years and the front desk staff and radiology team have always been kind and respectful. Shortly after my recent visit, someone from the office called me to inform me that they had mistakenly missed part of my mammogram and told me I would need to come back to complete the imaging. When I tried to set up a time to do this, the office manager was unbelievably rude, disrespectful, and arrogant. She claimed that there was no mistake in the mammogram, despite their earlier call, and spoke down to me the entire time. This is unacceptable in a health care provider setting. Although I understand that mistakes are made, it is unacceptable to lie and charge your patients hundreds of dollars for a repeat service when it was for your own mistake, especially in health care where your mistake can lead to a misdiagnosis. It is appalling that this manager is in healthcare! I'm extremely disappointed as I've always had a good experience at this office before. read more

Poor service!!!! I just recently had my mammogram a day after they called me back and let me know that they have to redo my mammogram since the results was not clear, I clearly ask Melanie (who called me) if this will cost me $$ and she said no since it's covered by my insurance so I agreed and have it scheduled, I left 2 hours early from work just to find out that this will cost me $400. I spoke with the supervisor ( I didn't get her name) about why they were not clear to me that this will cost me $$$ and I already have done this imaging before and I paid $400. and will never do it again, the supervisor response was "you should not do your mammogram if you don't want to follow up, and I will let your doctor knows that you declined for your imaging appointment! wow! I will never comeback to this place and will never recommend ever!!! the supervisor lady doesn't have empathy, she needs to get retrained! read more

My appointment was scheduled 6 months ago. They did not have anything earlier. Then an hour before my appointment they told me they aren't contracted with my insurance. But wait there is good news....I can pay out of pocket (rolling eyes). I uploaded my insurance card to their portal 1 week ago. Had I not done that I probably would show up and be told that at the appointment. But at least they gave me an hour notice (rolling eyes again). Incompetent and disrespectful. So be aware. Don't assume, like I did, uploading and sharing your insurance information means they actually did their job to confirm coverage. Patient care is not their priority clearly. read more

I went halfway through the ultrasound program 20 years ago, and I know that this group is unethical and unprofessional. The radiologist told me that I had a suspicious mass in my breast that, "Did not look benign." So I was a basket case for a month (it took that long to schedule a biopsy with the!) On the morning of my biopsy (which I scheduled @ 12:30,) they told me that my biopsy was @ 8 a.m. and I missed it...... Anyway- they got me in. When I was waiting, in the waiting room, the doctor walked through, holding a black umbrella over her head, (not a cloud in the sky), screaming and cussing @ someone on the phone. When they took me back- I saw the "tumor" on a light board. It was NOT cancer.... I didn't have to finish the ultrasound program to say that! Only a lab can diagnose cancer and it was extremely unethical for the radiologist to say that to me. I will never go back to them! read more

Now past 1.5 hour wait - still no technician. Here's the scoop on what goes on here so you at least know what to expect. BreastLink has ONE 3-D mammography machine. 3D mammography, also known as breast tomosynthesis, may offer more detailed imagery and therefore a lower chance of false positives or needs for rescreen. Because these machines have an average cost of $430,000, and insurance doesn't cover that screening for most women, you have to fork over an additional $65. What the people at the front desk don't tell you is that because they have only one machine (see $430,000 average cost ... ) AND because so many women opt-in, choosing that scan can add anywhere from an hour or more to your waiting time. They can only push so many people through the machine in an hour. In my case, the wait was past 1.5 hours, and NO ONE at the front desk ever said a word about the wait. In fact, what they said to me and other women was simply, "We'll call you shortly." If you compare 1.5+ hours to lots of other things, that may be "shortly," but when you have an 8am appointment time and are still waiting at 9:30am in a clinic setting where there aren't lots of emergencies or anything understandable that is pushing back your time, it seems like a LONG time. Speaking of their scheduling ... when you now call the number on the letter you get, it seems to go to an outsourced (and perhaps offshored) call center, where a male that is very difficult to understand will ask you lots of personal health questions, and then will do a hard transfer back to the clinic, where you will have to repeat ALL the information to get your appointment scheduled. When I mentioned that happening, the person (in the US) that I finally got apologized and said that happens "all the time," and she actually offered me a direct line to reach her for the next time I needed to schedule. I turned her down because having someone's direct number doesn't seem like a solution to what is clearly a BreastLink choice about staffing, lack of training, and so on. So overall compared to years past - much poorer experience on the phone, MUCH longer wait time, no front desk knowledge about what is going on or clear communication about the process. Now we'll see how long it takes to get results ... they supposedly have a "same day results" mammogram but given what I saw with their scheduling, that might mean "same week" or "same month." The main good news I've seen at BreastLink is the elderly female doctor who did biopsies with shaking hands and a clear loss of ability has retired. read more

Awful healthcare experience and fraudulent billing practices! They created so much unnecessary stress and trauma for my family and I, repeatedly LIED about my radiology report reading, lied about their ability to open/read records sent by another (massive) hospital system, and then to add insult to injury, tried to triple bill me for the same date of service for Dr. Bonev. The cherry on top was being gaslit and verbally abused by administrative office staff, when they realized how much trouble they were going to be in for their (very large) part in the above. Dr. Bonev's billing office Manager, Tatiana, claims the doctor "agreed to adjust" one of the triple charges off as a "courtesy" (more like, because you triple billed me), but then harassed me about the other amount they claimed I owed. I literally paid money for a bill I know I don't owe, just to get them to leave me alone, and to put this awful, traumatizing experience behind me; a month after I made that payment, they have now sent me another bill and threat to send me to collections---FOR A BILL I ALREADY PAID AND HAVE A RECEIPT FOR. I emailed Tatiana in billing, as well as Becky, the office manager, and have yet to hear from either of them. A very detailed report is going to the DMHC and the Board of Registration, about my experience with this doctor, the office staff, Radnet/Breastlink, the radiologist, and their billing office. My father, a board certified physician of over 50 years, was equally horrified. I will be posting more details about my encounters with this office and their Newport office very soon---they can count on it. I would NEVER come back, and would soon rather pay for it out of my own pocket, than allow a single person I love, care about, or even know, come here! Irresponsible staff and doctors. This review is for dr. Valentina bonev. She was my breast surgeon for an excision allergy biopsy and she was phenomenal. There was a lot of delays, and just bad communication from Breastlink and a specialist they referred out to, but once this case went to dr bonev, my experience was more clear, straightforward and I knew i was in good hands. She took great care with another condition I had and made sure surgery went well for me. My recovery is way different (better!) than another procedure done at Breastlink a year prior. This could be because it's a different area but I also credit dr. Bonev as a superior surgeon with a bedside manner that is rare. She speaks straightforwardly and she is trustworthy. I practically have my doctorate but when it comes to this stuff and this entire breast surgery situation my brain turns to mush, probably out of fear and discomfort and dr bonev addresses issues and questions and is fairly easy to get ahold of. The communication with the office and so many aspects of my road to getting surgery was fraught with awful things occurring but once dr bonev was involved, things were getting resolved and surgery was scheduled within weeks of seeing her the first time. I am beyond happy with her and enthusiastically Recommend her if you, like me, get scared this could be cancer, or have a lot going on and need straightforward and kind directness. It's better knowing everything than knowing nothing. I felt like i knew what was happening with me once I saw her. Prior to that, Breastlink, another place in fountain valley, and my primary had appointments for me Where I didn't even know why I was there. Highly recommend dr. Bonev as part of your health team when breast surgery or abnormal mammograms are concerned. I truly believe some people are meant to be surgeons and she is one of them. Truly phenomenal! read more

My aunt recently had a lumpectomy done by Dr.Bonev and she was absolutely wonderful and kind. She explained everything thoroughly and was very thoughtful. So sweet and funny (loved her mini jokes). Isela was also so helpful with scheduling and handling the paperwork. I loved how everyone was on it and took care of you from the very beginning. I CALLED around 3 hoping to make an appointment and didn't get help until 40 minutes into the call and the lady tells me "give me a second" when I tell her what I'm calling for and never assists me again.
