The culinary inventions in this place are pure evil genius. I imagine the Cubana version of Maleficent, sitting in her kitchen-lab, concocting exquisite recipes to fatten the world. This evil madrina casts her enchanting spells over the pueblo's tastebuds so that in the end, you wake-up tricked, hooked-up to a an EKG machine down the road in Palmetto Hospital. To begin, lets examine Breadman's creativity. The owners have taken the established Miami business model of the traditional Cuban bakery, and have revamped it into a fun gourmet, classy delicious concept. The interior decor of this restaurant reminds me of Italian-American bakeries in New York, but with a Miami Cuban twist. The cafè seating is bright, inviting, and welcoming, plus the space is neatly organized and clean. Ownership must be treating employees very well. Attendants move busily behind the dividing line between server and customer. They joke, smile and wink at waiting clients; they dance around each other joking, smiling, winking at themselves. Like dancers who are gracefully choreographed, it's fun to watch these ladies gliding from point to point behind the counter, never missing a beat. The creativity of food stuff at Breadman Miami beats all competing Miami bakeries in Dade County. Nutella pastelitos and tequeños are not only genius, they are incredibly delicious. The croqueta y empanada de pollo are respectively both remarkable because the meat is seasoned just right. The empanada de jamon con queso received a wide-eye response and a thumbs up from my finecky teenage daughter. The croqueta de maiz con queso is a tasty invention that is on the opposite side of the spectrum from terrible. Unfortunately, there were two food choices which did not win me over. Firstly, the croqueta de jamon tasted bitter, maybe smokey. I don't like smokey at all. Secondly, I was so excited to try the Rakata sandwich after seeing photos on Yelp but was left disappointed after trying their flagship dish. First let me say that it was beautifully presented, a heaping portion, a neatly stacked package of tasty food items. When they're eaten by themselves they're great but when placed on top of each other, they did not work for me. Several bites of this concotion sent my tastebuds into a whirlwind of mixed emotions. Maybe it was all the greasy, high fat content mixed together giving me a mild stroke but my brain did not compute this idea as something delicious. The long time that the kitchen took to make the sandwhich also did not help how I felt about it. Overall we enjoyed our selections. Aside from my experience with the rakata sandwhich, the only other complaint that I have is their prices. Although creative and delicious, they are still just a Cuban bakery amongst many in a saturated market. While we were, seduced by the Cuban Maleficent's recipes and we will be back, it isn't something that would make me go out of my way. Breadman would not stop me from visiting any of the other many bakeries in Miami. read more

Someone told me how good the coconut puff pastry were in this Bakery and this person was completely right! They're delicious! Yes I know I'm giving a bakery 5 stars but this is no ordinary bakery this is THE bakery around here and there is no other like it. First time I tried the Nutella cheesecake I couldn't believe that finally someone thought of making something so delicious. Now you can't just give 5 stars for one single item so let me tell you more about this place....they have amazing sandwiches too. One of our favorite is the Rakata and my personal favorite is the SuperMeng which is shredded beef topped with cheese and a fried egg with that perfect yolk dripping all over when you press the sandwich or take a first bite. The Rakata is a beast and is made for people like me and my wife...people with HUGE appetites. Imagine a sandwich that's already big in size but then they add 4 Ham croquetas to make even taller and massive....yasss. I mean I can go on and on about these sandwiches but the truth is that everything I've tried here is amazing. I also recommend the corn croquetas, yes you heard right, corn croquetas or think of them as mini cheese arepa bites. The pastries are always fresh here so no complaints about stuff that has been sitting there from the day before. Staff is super friendly and helpful and orders usually don't take long. read more

Wow. Breadman has changed my life. Not even being dramatic! We always went to Vicky Bakery (which is still a go-to), but now we prefer Breadman. Everything is delicious. Anytime we have a friend or family member visiting from out of town and we want to show them amazing Cuban bakery food we bring them here. It surpasses any other bakery for us. It's a bit tough to find this place, but glad I stopped off the Palmetto to have a sandwich. The design of the the seating area is pretty smart. Parking spots are real narrow. If you care about your cars like I do, don't risk it! Park a few stores down and walk the extra 30 ft. Ppl in Hialeah are notorious for their lack of auto care. They will check your doors and act like nothing happened. There was a line when I arrived on Sunday morning. The 3 cashiers made quick work of it though. I ordered my usual colada and it was par for the course. Waited about 10 minutes for my "Completo" (complete breakfast) and jumped back on the 826! Vicky Bakery has got some competition! I've got by Breadman several times to get pastelitos for the family and it is always a hit. They have your traditional Cuban pastelitos; guayaba, cheese, carne, coconut, guayaba and cheese.. They also have your traditional ham croquetas. What makes them unique, is that they have their own "Breadman pastelitos". My favorite is the carne and Maduro (beef and plantains).. If you enjoy Maduros, then you'll love this pastry. They also have a Nutella pastelito that absolutely rocks. They have a large assortment of sandwiches, breads and breakfast items that are all pretty good. If you have a chance, try out their tortilla española. The best one I have ever had. Thick layers of potatoes, onion and eggs.. Absolutely divine! I noticed afterwards someone ordered it with fried eggs inside, I should've had that instead. I thought the desayuno completo was a little skimpy for the price $5.50 (eggs, fries, bacon, tostada & cafe) a good portion for kids not a hungry adult. I burned the shit out of my tongue biting into the pastelito de queso, that's NEVER happened to me in my life. I'm pretty sure they must've been microwaved. Best bakery in Miami in our opinion. Every time we come down from Tampa you better bet we are making a stop at Breadman. There are other locations but we always go to this one to not risk not liking the other ones haha. There is plenty of parking available and never an issue to find a spot. I stopped in to pick up some dessert to bring with me to an invite at approximately 3pm on Saturday. I purchased some items to eat while waiting 2 chicken croquetas and 2 cheese croquetas ( frozen boxed croquetas) not impressed, pastel de carne &maduro delicious the dough was perfect as was the filling. My daughter had the chicken empanada it was very good, I bought home with me the chocolate chip Oreo cookie and brownie oreo both were delicious. The negative to my visit was the long wait for the croquetas to be fried although I appreciate them being freshly fried waiting over 15 mins is to much. Mind you I was the only one waiting for an order. The trays were being replenished with other croquetas for future customers, instead of fulfilling my order of croquetas. Suggestion once the customer places the order the kitchen should be advised of the order this should decrease the time the customer wait. read more

I have been to many bakeries in Hialeah and Breadman Miami tops the charts! My girlfriend brought me here on the way home from visiting family and I am glad we came. A little hard to find because the plaza is hidden on the side of the palmetto. Luckily I just plugged it in my GPS and had no problems getting there. It is a small little bakery with plenty of selection of pastries and desserts. I ordered the chocolate cake and vanilla eclair. The eclair was excellent! As was the chocolate cake- moist and fresh. I have been to bakeries where they leave everything sitting out all day and you can taste the difference. I also tried the quatro leche my girlfriend bought. Not amazing but not terrible. I have had better. Overall I can see myself returning when I am in the area, especially to try the nutella pastry! read more

I've only been here once before and typically I go to a place closer to me in Broward. I don't know much about Cuban bakeries but this place seems to have all the staples, as well as some of their own unique offerings like pizza pastels, Nutella tres leche, etc with stuff that gets more creative. I like that they offer some of their goods pre-packaged in a "party" size (ie. guava pastelitos cut into 25 pieces) for easy travel. For my most recent visit, I had a medium cafe con leche (fine), housemade ham croquetas (decent), Nutella con queso pastelito (haven't tried it yet but it's probably pretty good), and a Frita Cubana (I can taste the chorizo in the patty mix, thought it would be similar to a slider size but it was basically a big burger size). Service was very friendly and went out of their way to ask if everything was to my liking etc. Whenever I'm back in town I'll be sure to take stuff back up with me. read more

OMG First, I have found my favorite breakfast place I ordered the Rico Suave it's was delicious. Ham Swiss potato sticks and fried eggs, everything I wanted for my meal .Sandwiches are made to order and serve right away. The ladies are very nice and courteous and fast. Very clean, but they need more space to enjoy their delicious food. I visited on a Sat afternoon around 4 o'clock and this cool little place was half full. However some of their pastries were already gone (so try to get here earlier). The girls on the counter were very friendly and helpful. I wanted to take a couple of stuff to a get-together and so I was all over the place, but she kept up with me and didn't get annoyed. I love their unique spin on Cuban pastries. They have Ropa vieja empanadas (so good...), Pastelitos de carne con maduros (highly recommended), pastelitos de guava, queso & coconut (all ingredients inside one pastelito), pastelito de Nutella, and on, and on, and on.... You'll find many unique options here. They also have various single servings of desserts like Tres leche de coco - made with coconut milk! (it was so worth all the calories) and it only costs $2!!! There are mini Key lime pies, Cuatro leches, Flan on the bottom with arroz con leche on top (forgot what they named this). So many options, so little time. I was dying to try an Alabao and it was totally worth it! My boyfriend took me on Mother's Day and while the display cases were a little on the empty side they kept coming back from the kitchen with fresh trays. This location is close to the 826 and not that much driving through Hialeah. Thank God! Lol the location is a nice size with a couple of tables and chairs. Bakeries are very hard to come by in Doral so Yelp pointed me 5 miles north to the city of Hialeah. Passport? Check. Driving along the crazy way Waze guided me we found this place located on the corner of a strip mall, and a line spilling out of the business. We knew right there this place HAS to be good. The menu has it's traditional cuban options, such as tostada, cafe con leche, huevos, etc. But also has some twists on hearty sandwiches like SuperMeng (yes that's the name - hilarious but looked awesome!) We decided to go simple, tostada with ham and eggs, 4 croquettas "de la casa" cafe con leche and one of their nutella pastries. Wait for it......WOW. The tostada was fresh! I mean the bread tasted like it was just made, then placed in the flat press. The croquettas de la casa? Don't even think about ordering the regular ones. Delicious and full of flavor, not like those other places where they might be frozen. The service was exceptional. I didn't catch her name but the brunette that seemed like she ran the place was very nice and gave us much attention even with line of customers. There are so many other breads and pastries that looked so interesting so, let's just say my passport will be getting more Hialeah stamps because I intend to keep coming! read more
