Cortadito

A great little outdoor hole in the wall in Hialeah. Sasha made one of the best Cortadito I've had in South Florida, and the pastry was first rate. Definitely worth a visit on a nice day if you're in the area!

Inside, the restaurant fully transports you out of the 305 with danity, quirky and cute decor, and cozy lighting. Only tables available. seating inside and out by parking lot. THE FOOD: For starters, we had the cheese, bread and honey dish - 4/5 warm, crunchy, gooey goodness. I also had the French onion soup 5/5, probably the best ive ever had! incredible flavor profile perfectly balanced and salted. For entrees, my husband went with a oxtail with mash dish they had on special that day 1000/5, too bad eating with your hands and licking your plate is frowned upon lol - it deserved that! I had the Pan seared branzino 2/5 - now hear me out - it was five out of five in texture, soft and buttery, and presentation BUT it was cook with SO MUCH BUTTER, that the roof of my mouth & tongue were coated in it and I couldnt tastes anything else! It was so much butter that I felt my lips, tongue and throat irritated. Additionally, im not sure why they didn't pair this dish with a mash or a roasted potatoes, instead of only cooked down spinach. THE SERVICE: Reservations are strongly encouraged - so I made mine with Resy. Through Resy, I confirmed my reservation and had it all in text & email. Upon arrival, their system didnt pull it up. However, the manager (?) was kind, gentle and gracious, sat us at a table. Our waiter was fantastic! So charismatic, and was well versed on all the dishes and how they were made. I believe she said she's been with the team a few years now. From what I understand, a sister restaurant was just opened in Miami Beach, so I hope to be able to give that one a try aswell - maybe for my birthday in two weeks?

I recently visited Vanilla Espresso French Cafe, and it was such a great experience. I ordered the…read morecrème brûlée latte, and it was amazing; absolutely no complaints. My son had an iced vanilla matcha latte, and it disappeared in about four minutes, which says it all! My partner ordered a regular cappuccino and really enjoyed his drink as well. The café has a cozy, slightly gloomy vibe, which I personally love in a coffee shop. It creates the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. You pay first at the counter and then find your seat, which makes the process smooth and easy. The pricing was reasonable too, typical coffee shop prices for really good quality drinks. The staff was really sweet and welcoming as well, which made the visit even better. Definitely a spot I'd visit again.

This…read morerestaurant captures the essence of Parisian vibes beautifully, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The décor perfectly mimics the charm of a quaint Paris cafe, making it an ideal setting for a delightful meal or a casual coffee break. I visited on a Thursday around 11:30 AM, hoping to beat the weekend crowds. While it was quite busy, the lively energy only added to the experience. One thing to note, you order at the counter before taking a seat, and they bring your food to your table. I can see this being a challenge during busy peak time if you want to sit and eat. The menu is impressively extensive, featuring a wide array of delectable options. I opted for the "Bonjour Madame," which included a buttery croissant with ham and cheese, delicious French toast topped with fresh berries, scrambled eggs (I chose not to have poached egg which is featured on the menu), crispy bacon, and a delightful bowl of Greek yogurt with fruits and honey. Each element was delicious and expertly prepared. I also had the crème brûlée latte, which was a standout! It arrived at the perfect temperature, definitely a plus, as many cafes serve their drinks lukewarm. To satisfy my sweet tooth, I indulged in a raspberry cream-filled croissant to go, which was the cherry on top of a fantastic meal. The staff deserves an A+ for customer service. They were super friendly and attentive, they made the experience even more enjoyable. They kept the tables clean and provided quick service, making it evident that they care about creating a pleasant dining environment. With both indoor and outdoor seating options, it is a great spot to relax and soak in the ambiance. While the prices are a bit higher, they align with the quality of food and the overall experience provided by this charming cafe. Lastly, the cherry on top is the no-charge parking, making it convenient to visit. If you are in search of a cozy, Parisian-style cafe with excellent food and service, Vanilla Espresso is the place to be! It is definitely a perfect Instagram spot, too!

The Marina has four Specialty Dining choices: Jacques, Polo Grill, Red Ginger and Toscana in addition to the Grand Dining Room. I loved them all! The cuisine on Oceania Cruises is absolutely top- notch! My favorite was Jacques. This restaurant is also found on their ships, Riviera and the new Allura. It is named after Master Chef Jacques Pepin. They serve several timeless French dishes like Duck A L'Orange and Escargot. There were many options. My favorite was Filet Mignon topped with Truffles and Foie Gras. When we ate a second night in Jacques, we enjoyed a table-side preparation of Beef Tartare. This stole the show. The menu also included quite an exceptional array of appetizers, salads, soups, cheeses, and of course...excellent French desserts! The service is impeccable all over the Oceania Marina, and all the restaurants, including Jacques, are quite beautiful. There was never a shortage of food in any of the ship's restaurants. Just as, there was never a wait to get your splendid meals. More than half of the crew is dedicated to their amazing food service! There is so much that I could rave about Oceania Cruises, but I doubt that finer cuisine could be found on any cruise ship, at sea!

Both the instructors (front of house) and student chefs came by the guest tables to check. The complementary empanada amuse bouche woke up my palate with a slight tangy kick I enjoyed. My burrata salad was both tasty and beautifully plated. The ball of cheese looked like a flower & was creamy, as well as generously complimented with baby tomatoes (95/100). Similarly pretty plating was in the syllabus for the vanilla bean creme brulee. with the berry garnish placed to look like a face. It's crust was crispy as I like as well (100/100). The demerits come in from the fries, as they were a little overly salty for my preference and the ketchup dish to balance them was small. The fries were nice and crispy though (70/100). The churrasco they accompanied was almost perfect. Medium well, it was still juicy and I didn't hear the cow moo. Besides the fries, it was accompanied with more fresh vegetables including baby tomatoes like my salad, asparagus and kale (94/100). The only reason it's not a 100 is because of a little extra salt. With an average of 90, that's an A- and they pass the exam of my taste buds. There's a parking lot with about 5 spaces. The restaurant's interior is accurate to within what one would expect at a "nice" place to eat, and they have some outdoor seating as well.
