Bread & bistro has great baked goods, but other than that, their lunch menu is so-so.
If I were to rate bread & bistro solely based on their breakfast spread, I would definitely give them 5 stars. They have a wide selection of pastries, puffs, muffins, and cooked breakfast in the morning. Their blueberry muffin is one of the best I have had in Hong Kong. Sometimes i reserve a cheat breakfast meal just to sneak in a blueberry muffin from here!
The reason why bread & bistro gets a 3 star is because of the quality of the food served during lunch. The flavours are off and the options are not enticing.
I've had quite a few dishes...
Japanese curry - pretty standard and not outstanding. However, the meat in Japanese curry is a minced chicken patty which tasted very processed
Taco rice - there is way too much rice, or was off proportionally. There was not enough fish or toppings to mix into the rice, and the mayo (sauce) was not great
Ramen - the noodles were bland and the pork slices are so dry...
Recommend for baked goods / breakfast. Don't come here for lunch unless you don't have a choice. read more
