That, and unlike Omotesando, this is a proper, legit, HK style shop. It's hard to find. It's weirdly hidden, inside of another business (not telling), on the second floor of a random building (also not telling). The hours are not posted, and I assume are made up depending on how folks feel. Only one of two elevators in the building actually stops on this floor, and you get to figure out which one (still not telling). The door guy, lies to you, and tells you that there is no cafe at all. It's classic, legit, wonderful, slightly crazy, but still delightful Hong Kong. And, when you finally figure out where it is, and manage to make it there, you're rewarded with amazing coffee, and beautiful late art. You're still in Wan Chai, but life is suddenly better. Good luck, be brave, before they relocate.

I can only speak to the cup of coffee and pastry I had, which were both very good. I am a simply coffee drinker (+ splenda and milk). It is a good bean and a good blend of coffee they serve. I am a coffee bean snob a touch and this was indeed a good cup. The place has a friendly, open feel and spills out into the open air of the atrium of Pacific Place (on the ground floor on the end with the movie theatre). Menu seems full of fresh sandwiches, fresh breads, fresh meal items. And jams...clearly Le Pain Quotidien is known for their jams...they are on display and available for sale.
